9.1.1. (Black Tuesday)

sun golden morning opens a beautiful day
a little black bird spreads his wings flys away
where is he going where did he come from
he's going to change the world before the setting sun

he's soaring and flying oh, so high
he drops to the earth falling from the sky
he hits crashing burning the most evil way
Mayday Mayday it's another Black Tuesday

ash filled fire burning sky, the world trade center waves goodbye

another building crashes, two attacks
buildings falling on american backs
did we ask for war, do we want more
are we ready for more, ready for war

another bird flys to D.C.
while another woman cries on her knees
the pentagon crash, the sky turns grey
Mayday Mayday it's another Black Tuesday

ash filled fire burning sky, America's peace cracks inside

terrorism is the most terrible way
Mayday Mayday it's another Black Tuesday

the aftermath

the aftermath, skys are still grey but their blue,
and their new, bleeding in a brand new way

swirlin', ash turns cold, buildings fold, and they
break, what is your take, with so much at stake

rubble, massive destruction creates massive construction
and new bodies found, sirens still spinning, round and round

the president, talks to the "folks" and walks to his plane,
but can he be tamed in his big black day of fame

workers, walking the streets, watching their feet, their heads hand low, but where should they go, for they know, that they aren't safe, at this place, we're losing the race, attacking this face, from a country that hates, that we are free

Freedom in the aftermath
Freedom in the aftermath
Freedom in the aftermath

in memory to not only those who have been lost,
but those who will die seeking revenge
