The Last Four:

Part Seven: A Miracle

* Crystal Tokyo*

" Is she going to be all right?" a worried Rei said leaning over Serenity's bed.

" She'll be fine," Ami said looking up form a medical chart.

" What happened?" said Mina.

" I'm not really quite sure," admitted Ami. " It seems as though she's lost a great amount of energy. But other then that she's perfectly healthy."

Michiru burst into the room. " They're home! They've come home! They just teleported in this morning!" Smiles burst out all over the room as the Senshi hugged each other in joy. The smiles immeaditely left as a battle weary Endymion burst into the room rushing to his wife's side.

" Is she all right?" he asked Ami.

" She's fine. Just exhausted," replied Ami a slight frown fluttered over her face as her adapt mind struggled to understand just what had happened to her Queen.

" Serenity? Usako can you hear me?" said Endymion gently. Serenity's eyes fluttered open.

" I knew you would come back Endy," she said raising a hand to caress his cheek.

" Rest my love. Thank You. I won't leave you ever again," Endymion said kissing the palm of her hand.

Ami pulled Endymion aside as Serenity's eyes closed once more,

" Endymion do you know what happened?"

" She saved us all," Endymion said looking at the form of his sleeping wife.

" What do you mean," Ami questioned.

Endymion shrugged, " I don't know exactly. Somehow she healed everyone with Silver Crystal. The battle was almost over we were losing. I was injured and badly and then all of a sudden this white light washed over everything and the pain went away. I don't know any other way to explain it," Endymion said his eyes glazing over slightly with the vivid memory.

Endymion walked back over to Serenity's. He wouldn't leave until she was fully recovered. Ami silently left shutting the door softly behind her.

* A few months later *

Serenity wiggled in her throne. No matter what position she arranged herself in she just couldn't get comfortable. It seemed like the baby had settled itself right on her bladder. She had to go to the bathroom every five minutes, her ankles were swollen, and the sound of the chancellors and heads of states bickering in front of her was really getting one her nerves. She rested her hands on top of her swelling belly wishing with all her might that she had humongous chocolate sundae sitting in front of her. She made a mental note to ask Makoto to make her one latter. Makoto's sundaes were the best. Maybe it would be better with some anchovies. Serenity licked her lips at the thought. A pain shot across her stomach and she clutched the arm of her chair. When the pain subsided she looked over at her husband who was once again sound asleep and snoring lightly. She slapped him lightly on the arm and he awoke with a start. " Endy wake up!" she whispered as loudly as she could. " It's time."

Endymion literally shot out of his seat all traces of grogginess gone.

" Everybody out! Get out now!" he shouted at the various people below.

" You go get Lady Ami," he barked at a poor servant.

" Endy."

Endymion swirled around hovering at his wife's side. " Yes my love. Do you need something? Some water? Do you what me to help you up? Do you need me to carry you? Is there anything I can do? Are you all right? Can I�"

" Endymion calm down and help up," Serenity said keeping her wits about her for the time being. The large double doors to the throne room burst open and Ami calmly walked through.

" Endymion would you please help her to your quarters," Ami said addressing each one of them.

Two hours later Serenity was propped up in bed with Hotaru on one side and Endymion on the other. Ami was at the foot of the bed. " Sere I want you to begin you breathing excercises. Remember the ones I taught you," Ami said.

" Yes darling you remember. Like this," Endymion said beginning to huff and puff while making exaggerated faces that made him look more like an exhausted dog then King of the Earth. Serenity threw him a disgusted glance as another contraction rocked her body.

" All right Serenity I want you to push on three�1�2�3push," Ami said. Serenity let out a loud scream and reached out for Endymions hand. He gave it to her and almost bit his tongue at the strength of her grip. " Endy�mion� I�swear�to�God�you�will�never�touch�me again�," Sernity screamed while pushing with all her might while squeezing poor Endymions figures to the breaking point. She let out a long sigh and let go of his hand.

" Endymion are you all right," said Hotaru looking over at the grimacing Endymion who was cradling his hand gently.

" I think she broke my finger." Hotaru walked around the bed placing a hand on Endymion's. A purple glow erupted and Endymion shook out his hand. " Thanks," he said grimly looking over at his again heaving wife.

Ten minutes later a baby's cry erupted from the chambers of the Queen and King. A smiling Ami wrapped the baby carefully in a soft blanket and handed the tiny miracle to its mother. Shining red eyes peered out of the baby's wrinkled face and swath of pink hair crowned its head. Endymion and Serenity smile down at the miracle their love had created and knew they could never be happier.

Outside Rei broke into a smile. Well she defiantly sounds like our Odango Atama. I just hope she's not as klutzy too. Hotaru came out gently shutting the door behind her.

" It's a girl," she proclaimed loudly with a wide smile.
