| The North American Anarchist Conference is a major event for our movement. We are at a critical time as anarchists: our movement is expanding, we are getting more serious and we are ready to go forward with our work. We are now figuring out how to be a more effective movement and how to strengthen our community. This conference will go a long way towards answering some of those questions and planning the directions we need to be going. ALCOHOL AND DRUGS, AS WELL AS CAMERAS, WILL BE BANNED FROM ALL NAAC SPONSORED HOUSING AND EVENTS A Call for Workshop Proposals The North American Anarchist Conference is currently being planned. In order to make this conference a success for all involved, we are asking for workshop and/or information tabling proposals now. How do I submit my proposal? To propose a workshop and/or information table for the NAAC, a one to three page abstract of your workshop and/or information table is needed as soon as possible Please submit your name, organization you are representing, full contact information, information about your organization, and you must let us know the duration of, and the number of people who can attend your workshop. You will be notified of the status of your workshop by the last week in May. A confirmation of your availability is needed immediately thereafter. Housing We may not be able to house everyone who is coming. To the extent that housing is available we will arrange it on first come, first serve basis. It is strongly recommended that people pre-register ASAP. People should pack as if going camping (without tents). A list of inexpensive accommodations will be available. Food We will guarantee two meals daily from August 11-13. We will try to provide food until August 17. Please bring your own dishes and utensils and be prepared to do food prep and serving at least once (but probably more). All meals will be vegan and free to NAAC participants Child Care Childcare will be available from August 11-13. If you would like childcare, you must pre-register before July 15. We will make our plans based on the number of children then registered. |
