President--Has the big picture of the chapter.   Also serves as Chief Administrator and executive of the chapter. Assures that duties are getting done.   Presiding over general/executive meetings is a duty of this position. 
JeMichael Manora is a Native of Montgomery, AL who is currently a member of Leadrship Service Council and the US Air Force Reserves.  JeMichael joined the chapter in Fall 2005 and was appointed as political empowerment chair in the same semester.  He was also elected Mr. NAACP for Alabama in 2005.  In Spring 2006 he was elected as V.P. of the chapter.  In April of 2008 he was elected as the president of the chapter.

Michael S. Fitts is the Assistant Director for Access & Document Delivery Services and Asisstant Professor at Lister Hill Library of the Health Sciences at UAB. Fitts also serves as the unit's affirmative action officer and is their representative regarding issues of diversity.  In 2002, he became the insitution's first African American health sciences librarian with a primary faculty appointment.

Michael earned a B.S. degree in Management from Miles College and a M.S. degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama. Michael serves as the advisor for the Alabama NAACP Youth and College Division, the UAB Chapter of the NAACP and the National Society for Collegiate Scholars.   He was appointed as faculty advisor of the UAB NAACP in August of 2003, and has been re-elected every year since February 3, 2004.

In 2007 he was elected as president of the UAB African American Faculty Association and has been honored by the UAB Black Graduate Association as "Faculty Member of the Year ",  Michael is an active member of New Hope Baptist Church where he participates with the mass choir, praise team and prison ministry.  A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Michael now resides in Pelham, Alabama.i
Advisor--Assists chapter to be in compliance with NAACP and University procedures and rules, evaluates and encourages leadership.

Political Action--Work for legislation that will promote the  educational, political and economic status of minorities.  Also to promote voter education in African Americans.  This group holds an event every semester.
Recording Secretary--takes minutes at executive meetings, sends membership reports to National Office, receives new memberships and renewals and provides receipt for exchange.
Treasurer--Provides bi-weekly financial reports to the chapter and initiates fundraising programs each semester. Also heads Financial Empowerment Committee.
Education--Works to promote an awareness of scholarships and history of the NAACP and African Americans.  Finds ways to increase minorty retention at the University.  This committee holds an event every semester.
Cultural Arts--This committee stimutales an appreciation for the African American contributions to the arts. It organizes  the Image Awards ceremony in the Fall semester. Health--Works to promote, protect, an maintain the health of African Americans.  This committee is to be an advocate to equal access to healthcare for all.  It sponsors a health forum each semester.
Membership--Works to keep chapter membership at compliance level (25). This committee finds innovative ways to retain and recruit new members.  They also inform both  interested and paid members about meetings & events.
Corresponding Secretary--contacts executives/ members of meetings by email and phone, updates contact lists.  Is incharge of Calling/Contact Committee.
