Haha! See! Didnt I tell you Id have a nasty cup of coffee all ready for you?

Maddy greeted cheerfully when Lia walked into the diner the next morning. Immeditaly her tone of voice was changed to one of concern when she caught sight of the look on Lias face, as well as the slumped attitude of her posture. Her smile faded into a frown. Lia?

Good morning Maddy. Lias voice was voice of any cheer or type of emotion. She was to tired for any of that. She had spent another night without sleep. She had tryed to sleep of course, knowing that her body needed the moments of peace. Unfortunatly, her mind would never settle enought for the peaceful darkness to overtake her. Insteed she had lay in bed, tossing and turning untill the early morning before finally pulling herself out of the bed. Then, untill she was sure the diner would be open she had stared down at
the paper she had photocopyed from the police department. Stared down at herself and...her twin.

Good morning? Maddy scoffed as Lia sat down on the same stool as the day before, immediatly picking up her cup. Why do I get the feeling its been nothing but good?

Because your apparently a very smart child. The sarcasm dripped from the words.

Thank you. Maddy leaned against the counter. Now, are you going to tell me whats wrong?

Lia meet Maddys eyes, a blue not unlike her own. She saw the concern there and was a bit shocked, but only for a moment. She knew she would need a friend to help her find her real family. Why not let that friend be Maddy?

          Yes.

Maddy leaned back away form the counter, surprised. She had expected Lia to tell her it was none of her business as she had yesterday. She watched as Lia reached down and began to dig through her purse, a few moments later pulling out a folded piece of paper. She pushed it across the counter to Maddy without a word before picking up her coffee cup again.  Maddy barely hesitated before reached out adn grabing the paper, unfolding it carefully. Her eyes widened and flew to Lias face when she first read the bold print word
at the top of the page, then went back to the paper in her hands as she read.

MISSING
Name: Lyndsey Bernice Timberlake
Age: 2
Last seen: April 25th, 1983
Abducted from: Orangeview Mall, Memphis Tennesee
Above that was a picture. One of a young boy and girl, twins. The boy had his arm
wraped around the girls shoulders and was pressing sticky, chocolate covered lips to her
cheek. The girl had an ice cream cone one hand, the other hand attempting to push her
brother away. She was smiling widely, the spark of happiness apparent in her eyes.
Maddys mouth was formed in a perfect O when she looked back up at Lia  who was
now watching her with sad eyes. It was easy to see that Lia and Lyndsey were one and the
same.

Lia? She questioned in a whisper.

So I thought untill yesterday. The laugh that followed was one without
amusment.  Then I went to the police station and found that.  Before Maddy could ask
any questions Lia launched into her story. Maddy listened with wide eyes and mouth still
agape. When Lia finished tears shown in her eyes as she fought against them falling down
her face. ...so thats why Im here.  Lia raised her water-filled eyes to Maddys face and
felt guilty. I dont know you, you dont know me and now I just dumped all this in your
lap. Im so sorry.

Oh my god. Dont be sorry. Maddy quickly walked around the counter. When
she stood next to Lia she immediatly pulled her into a hug. Oh god dont be sorry for
telling me that. You need someone to help you with all this, and I want to help.

That was it for Lia, the tears she had been fighting for the past fews days refused to be
held back any longer. A young couple walked into the diner, shooting odd looks at the
two woman as Lia continues to cry, completly unaware of the new peoples presence. The
couple left. As soon as the strangers were gone, Maddy pulled away from her new and
now soggy from crying friend. Quickly she walked into the kitchen and returned a few
moments later, her purse and a pair of car keys in hand. She walked over to Lia and
pulled her up from the chair.

Your comming with me. This isnt the place to let the waterworks go.  Lia only
nodded and sniffled before following behind Madison to her car.

Half and hour later the girls were sitting on the couch in Madisons apartment, Lia having
stopped crying only a few minutes ago. Since then, Maddys had been talking non-stop
about herself. She figured that since Lia had already shared with Maddy her biggest
problem after only two days, the least Maddy could do in return is tell Lia a little about
herself.

...so I was born and raised right here in Memphis. Only child, spoiled as all hell
and somehow I still managed to turn out alright.

If your whats considered all right, Lia replyed, voice scratchy. Id hate to see
those who arent.

Alright, that just wasnt nice. Maddy pouted.

Whoever said I had to be nice about anything? Was that a rule somewhere that I
missed? Lia joked lightly. Maddy didnt reply, just stuck out her tounge at the girl across
the couch from her. Lia finally laughed. Oh, that was very mature.

As always. Maddy pushed herself up off the couch. I think its high time to get
the men in here, what do you think?

The men? Lia asked confused as she watched Madison dissapper into another
room. What men? You have men here?

Madison walked back into the room, hands held behind her back and a large grin on her
face.

Oh there are always men here. Two in fact. She then revealed what she had
conceled behind her body. Two spoons and a tub of Ben and Jerrys ice cream. Allow
me to introduce you to my two favorite men in the world, Ben and Jerry.

Lias mouth pratically watered as Maddy plopped down next to her. Tell me thats
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough?

Is there any other flavor?  Maddy asked seriously as she handed Lia one of the
spoons and pulled the top off the container.

Hell no. Lia immediatly dug her spoon into the cold treat and brought it to her
mouth. Oh my god this is good. She groaned. Maddy laughed.

Dont tell me something I already know. She herself took a spoonful. She
looked at Lias profile as she waiting for the ice cream to just melt in her mouth. She
wanted to talk with her some more about the missing poster that she had been shown
earlier. Wanted to ask some more questions, but she didnt. Maddy wondered if Lia knew
who her brother was and how important he was in the entertainment world.  Before she
could debate the topic with herself she put down her spoon and handed Lia the ice cream
carton.

Done already? All the more for me. Lia dug her spoon in again. Maddy laughed
as she crossed the room to where her Cd player was by the wall.

If you think that your not half as smart as you look. Maddy pulled out a Cd from
her collection and placed it in the CD player, looking over her shoulder as she pressed
play. If you eat more then your fair share of that I WILL kick your ass.

Bring it. Lia challanged with a smirk. Maddy watched in intrest as track six of
the CD she had slipped into the player began. Lia stilled, spoonful of ice cream half to her
mouth as the person began to sing. Slowly her hand lowered and her eyes closed as the
music wraped around her. She stayed like that, eyes closed just listening untill the song
was over. Maddy stopped the player.

Who was that? Lias eyes snapped open and stared at the CD player as if
mentally wishing for it to turn back on on its own.

The group is Nsync. The Cd is  Celebrity. Track six, Gone.  Maddy awnsered as
she crossed the room, the aformentioned cd back in its case in her hand. Lia reached out
for it and Maddy handed it to her.  Havent you ever heard of them before?

Ive heard the group name, but never any of the music. At my house it was
strictly country music. She murmmered as she stared down at the front of the CD
booklet. Suddenly she gasped. Oh my god! I met him! She exclaimed as she pointed
down at one of the men on the cover. Maddy sat down next to her and peered at the cover
as Lia mummbled to herself.  Oh what did he say his name was...

Lance? Madison supplied.

Yes! Lia exclaimed, excidedly. He sat next to me on the plane from
Mississippi! Said he going to a friends for some type of party. Mention a...a Joe.

Maddy leaned over and pointed out another man on the cover. Well, theres Joe.
Angelias eyes were wide. She had sat next to and held an actual conversation with a
celebrity. Wow.

Ok...so now I know who Joe and Lance are...  She began.

Then we have Chris Kirkpatrick, Jc Chasez, Maddy pointed out each man on
the cover. She paused when she can across Justin. Maybe she shouldnt do this. Maybe she
should have let Lia find out on her own. Oh well...to late now. and Justin Timberlake.

Angelias head snapped up to look at Maddy before looking down at the CD cover and
then back at Maddy. If the situation werent so serious, Maddy would have laughed at
Angelias  coffee saucer wide eyes.

Did you say...Timberlake? Maddy nodded and Angelia stared back down at the
case, fingers trailing over Justins face. So that means that... She looked at Maddy again
and the other girl nodded. No.

Yes. Maddy countered. When you came in that first day I thought that you
looked really familar, but I couldnt for the life of me place why. Then when you showed
me that paper today...it clicked. Lia, Maddy held up the Cd and pointed to Justin. Justin
Timberlake is part of your family. Hes the boy with you in that picture. Hes your twin.
