Thank you Jc," Kaylyn said as she turned to face the man who she had just spent the evening with. "I had alot of fun tonight." "Your welcome," Jc Chasez replied as he flashed her a grin. He was glad that he had gotten this time off to take Kaylyn out. Him being 1/5 of the popular music group Nsync often kept his schedual very busy. He hadn't know Kaylyn for more then a year and a half, but the bond he felt with her since their meeting was amazing, and though at first he had thought that bond was one of friendship, lately he could feel that that bond was something more. For weeks he had been debating with himself weither to tell her how he felt or not, but he had been afraid of rejection. Then that night he had gotten the chance to take Kaylyn out to the fair the was in town for the next few days and, after their near kiss on the Ferris Wheel, he decided that he would tell her tommorow... after a drive to the beach. "Anything to make a lady smile." The butterflies that always seemed to gather in Kaylyn's stomach when she was around Jc began to flutter. She was glad that it was dark enough that he couldn't see the blush that covered her cheeks. "Well thank you just the same." "Your welcome." He repeated. "Well...umm... it's late and I'm sure your prob'ly going to be busy tommorow. " Kaylyn stated after a few moments of silence. Jc nodded. "Kaylyn... there's been something that I've been meaning to tell you, but not now. Would you like to go out with me again tommorow?" Kaylyn wanted to immediatly shout out 'YES!' in happiness, but insteed she seemed to consider it for a moment, enjoying the anxious look the passed over Jc's hansome face. "Hmmm.... I could either spend another day with you or...." she paused, "do my laundry." She then taped her finger on her chin as if deep in thought. Jc chuckled. "Pick you up at 5?" he asked. Kaylyn nodded, a smile stretching her face from ear to ear. "Good. Then I'll see you tommorow." "Good." Kaylyn responed as another silence closed around them. "Then I guess this is goodnight." Jc stuck his hands in his pockets. "Yup, you would be guessing correctly." Kaylyn awnsered sadly. The wonderful evening had come to a close, and she couldn't help but hope that he would kiss her as she had been dreaming he would for the past few weeks. She had no idea where these new feelings had come from, but they were there none the less. Kaylyn looked everywhere but at Jc as the hope that he would kiss her ran through her head. She knew that if she looked at him, she would kiss him herself and she wasn't sure that he wanted the same thing. Jc watched as Kaylyn's eyes avoided him and he had to smile. "Kaylyn." his voice was soft and she turned her head towards his voice. His colbat blue eyes met hers and she felt as if her breath had been knocked out of her body. He leaned closer to her and her eyes fluttered closed as his lips met her in a single kiss. Slowly he pulled away. "Goodnight Kaylyn." "Yeah, goodnight." She replied as she brought a hand to her lips to touch where his lips had just been. She snaped out of it just in time to watch as his car pulled out of the driveway. She smiled and waved as she watched his car drive off down the road, wondering what it was tommorow was going to bring. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ A few minutes later Kaylyn sat in her room, brushing out her long blonde hair as she got ready to go to bed. 'He kissed me.' She thought as a giddy smile crept across her face. She couldn't belive it, and she couldn't wait to find out what it was that he had to tell her tommorow. ' If I go to bed now, tommorow will come sooner.' She thought as she made a nose dive for her bed. Withen in a few minutes she fell asleep, and she began dreaming..... In her dream, she stood on the beach just out of reach of the incomming waves. Around her the sun was setting, casting colorful hues across the sky. A breeze blew her hand in her face and she tucked it behing her ear with one hand. She felt a presence behind her and she turned to find Jc standing there in the same outfit that he had been wearing that night. "Jc!!" She exclaimed as she threw herself into his arms. She then turned to face the water once again, her hand clasped in his. "Isn't it beautiful, the colors-" "Very beautiful, but still not even close to as beautiful as you." he complimented. "Now there's something I have to tell you." This time when he spoke his voice was heavy with sadness. "Jc, what is it? What's wrong?!" Kaylyn asked in alarm. Jc couldn't meet her green eyes with his own as he spoke. "On my way home... I was at a intersection, the light was green and I went throught it, but I got hit in the side by another car." He swallowed. "A drunk driver." Kaylyn's eyes widened and a cold hand clutched her heart. "Jc? Tell me your ok!" He shook his head, a single tear fall from his eye and down his cheek to land in the sand. "I can't Kaylyn." Tears welled in her eyes, blurring her vision. "No." She whispered. Jc quickly wraped his arms around her in a tight embrace. "No, you can't be!" she cried as she clung to him, sobs racking her body. "I'm so sorry." His strong voice shook with the tears that were now falling fomr his eyes. "But it wasn't my choice." "But you can't leave me... Jc... I...I love you." she choaked out. "That's why I'm here, because I couldn't leave without telling you." He pulled back to look her in her eyes, now red. "I love you Kaylyn." He managed a smile that made Kaylyn think he looked more hansome then he ever had before. "I love you." He repeated as he lifted her chin in his hands and began to kiss away her tears. Kaylyn closed her eyes, wishing that she could keep the feel of his lips on her skin forever. When he stoped she opened her eyes to find him staring at her face and his eyes immediatly locked on hers. "I love you." He murmered before lowering his lips to meet with hers. his lips fit perfectly against hers, just as if they had ment to be placed against her own and they were as soft as se knew they would be. Kaylyn kissed back with every feeling she had in her. All the happiness, all the sadness, all the confusion, everything. He pulled her closer to him before pulling away slowly. "I have to go." he whispered against her lips. "No!" She shouted as she wraped her arms around his neck. "Don't leave me!!! I love you!" she cried. "I love you too, and don't forget that. I love you and I always will." He awnsered as he lowered his lips to hers one last time. Kaylyn pulled him as close as she could, not ever wanting to let him go. After a few seconds the pressure of his lips began to slowly fade, as well as his whole being. Finally, when she couldn't feel him anymore she opened her eyes to find herself alone on the beach. Tears flooded over her eyes and she fell to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably. Then she felt something in her hand. Opening it she found Jc's leo pendant. A breeze blew over her and she heard his voice one last time. "I love you." Kaylyn woke up with a start, her face wet with tears, gasping for air. "It was so real!!" she cried outloud. Just then the phone ran, and getting up to awnser it, she noticed that she clutched something in her hand. She felt the color drain from her face and she shut her eyes. 'No, it can't be.' The phone ran again and she reached for it. Clicking it on she managed a shakey hello. "Kaylyn." It was the voice of Justin Timberlake, one of Jc's four bandmates, his voice laced with tears. "Justin, what is it?" she asked, afraid to hear his awnser. "Jc... He's... he..." he couldn't finish his sentance as sobs overtook his body. Kaylyn droped the phone and, slowly opening her fist she glanced down to find a small white leo pendant. Jc's neckless. |
