Chapter 3

 

 

 

-Present Day, Japan-

 

 

 

A long light blue haired pretty boy in a black leather vest and white jeans was walking down the empty road. He was the one they call Mikagami Tokiya. As he walked, he began to think of the past. 'It's been two months since the trip to SODOM... but it just feels like yesterday...' Mikagami's thought was disrupted when suddenly he received a bonk from behind. And he heard an exclaim of a young girl, "Hiya, Mi-chan !" Mikagami looked behind, and saw a short brown haired girl with a dark green cloth that revealed her shoulders.

 

 

"What now, Fuuko ?" Mikagami grunted, "Why are you following me ?" "I go wherever I like !" Fuuko cut him in, "Plus we're just in the same way home !"

 

 

 

"All right, all right..." Mikagami said as he moved on. But, Fuuko continued to tag behind her... However, after a minute walking, they came upon a man in red magician hood...

 

 

 

"Who're you ?" Mikagami said in suspicion. The man went silent, until he said just some words, "... Sorcerer... Master... of Elemental... Magics... of The Evils..." "What are you, some clown !?" Fuuko said in a furious tone, pissed off with the man, who called himself Sorcerer, "If you wanna speak, speak more clearly, dammit !" Then she dashed to attack him, but Sorcerer easily dodged the attack.

 

 

"... Pathetic..." Sorcerer said as he chanted some spells. Mikagami was stunned... he never knew sorcerers of the ancient times existed in this day. 'This... this is not a normal man... he certainly is no clown.'

 

 

As Sorcerer chanted some words, suddenly something materialized in front of Mikagami and more materialized in front of Fuuko. In a moment, they figured out what was materialized... It was their old weapons, Madougu Ensui the water sword for Mikagami, and the wind controlling  arm bracer, Madougu Fuujin, for Fuuko !

 

 

"Ensui...!?" Mikagami said in shock. He had believed that ever since the journey in SODOM ended, all Madougus were destroyed... his Madougu and Fuuko's were of no exception. "H... hey ! Wait a minute ! Isn't this Fuujin !? Then... then how come...!?" Fuuko also said in disbelief. Mikagami himself was buried in thoughts, 'Madougus reappearing... what is going to happen this time...?'

 

 

"Fight.... me.... you... two...." Sorcerer said and generated a fierce aura, drawing both Mikagami and Fuuko's attentions. "Fuuko, looks like we don't have much choice... Do you still remember how to use your Fuujin ?" Mikagami asked her, as he poured Ensui with water, causing it to form a water blade and Fuuko nodded, "I still remember ! Then I guess it's time to kick some ass !!" "... Right." Mikagami confirmed as they both dashed to Sorcerer.

 

 

"... Earth.... Thorns..." Sorcerer said slowly after chanting some words, calling a lot of earth spikes to attack the duo, but none hit them. Fuuko used another of her madougu planted inside Fuujin, the Kaze no Tsume Orb, and this caused her arm bracer to grow wind claws and she slashed Sorcerer on the shoulder. Mikagami also delivered a low slash to the leg. But, Sorcerer wasn't quite affected and chanted another spell, "Rain... of... Fire..."

 

 

Then, Sorcerer summoned falling fireballs from the sky. Mikagami and Fuuko had to dodge them. Eventually, after several bouts of fighting, Mikagami tried to conjure up a plan. He said, "What would happen if we combined our techniques... I wonder ?" "Sounds good, Mi-chan ! Let's get ready !" Fuuko exclaimed as she prepared to unleash her technique...

 

 

"Fuujin..." Fuuko exclaimed and so did Mikagami, but he was saying, "Hyoumon Ken..." as he created four ice orbs in front of him, and the winds were starting to gather near Fuuko. "HAYATE !!" As she shouted, Fuuko swung her arm and sent a powerful gust of wind, and Mikagami also slashed the orbs and shouted, "HYOUNARU HEBI !!" Then, he sent out an ice snake. Powered with the power of the gust of wind, the ice snake also emmitted several other ice bolts, all heading to Sorcerer.

 

 

"Spark... Orb..." Sorcerer launched another spell, this time a ball of lightning. It began to clash with the ice snake, but the orb was more powerful and the snake shattered. "Lightning... Shield..." Sorcerer chanted another spell and covered himself with a yellow colored shield. As the wind hit the orb, it began to emit lightning to those behind the orb, including Sorcerer. However, his shield protected him from further damage.

 

 

"Didn't do any good..." Mikagami sighed and Fuuko said, "Maybe we got... a bit rusty ?" However, suddenly a spiked ball of ice was launched to Fuuko without her notice. "Watch out, Fuuko !" Mikagami exclaimed as he push Fuuko down to the ground. Instead, he took hit of the spiked ball of ice, and received quite a wound. "Urgh...!" Mikagami growled as he fell to ground. "Mi-chan !!" Fuuko shouted as she tried to get close to him. But, suddenly she stopped when Sorcerer said, "Stop... right there..."

 

 

"It... begins..." Sorcerer said as he glared at Fuuko. At first Fuuko was confused, but suddenly, her body won't respond to her. "Hey... My... my body moved by itself !" Fuuko said as her hands moved by herself, and bent themselves behind her back. Magically several ropes came out of nowhere, and it began tying Fuuko by itself, much like what Sage did to Starfire. She was also gagged with a silver duct tape first before a thick white cloth gagged her mouth.

 

 

 

"GRRRMMMPPHH !!" Fuuko shouted as she began to struggle. She certainly dislike any sorts of restraint, as she likes to move freely like the wind. "Fuuko...! Urgh..." Mikagami desperately wanted to save her, but with the wounds he received, his body won't respond as he wished. To his horror, he saw Sorcerer got Fuuko on his shoulder now and he created a portal.

 

 

"What are you...!?" Mikagami asked Sorcerer his purpose, but all he said was, "Hint.... Kelvin Vagabond...." before he jumped to the portal, carrying Fuuko along. "MMMMMMPPPPPHHHH !!!!" for one last time, Fuuko screamed for help... this was unlikely of her... She was usually the one that caused people to scream for help, but this time she was screaming for help... What a humiliation... but she had no choice, as she was also getting a bit scared on this magician...

 

 

"FUUKO !!!" Mikagami yelled her name, but he was too late. The portal was closed, leaving him alone. 'I failed to protect her...' Mikagami thought, but he knew that it's no time for sulking around. 'It was my fault that she was taken away. Then I'll take the responsibility to rescue her....'

 

 

'Well.... I guess I did became rusty after all.' Mikagami thought once more, remembering how his attacks weren't as powerful as his experience in the past. 'Before I find out about this Kelvin, it will be wise to train first, to brandish my skills to its finest form once more...' With that conclusion, Mikagami headed away. Several days later, he secluded himself from the society, training in a certain mountain to improve himself and retain his lost skills, while trying to find out about who this Kelvin was...

 

 

-Southtown, Year 2002-

 

 

"K', if you continue to walk that slow, you're gonna be late for dinner !" A young girl with orange hair and purple leather vest ran happily, away from a white haired, tan skinned man with black leather vest and a red glove... This man was the one called K'. "Don't get yourself into trouble, Kula." K' just gave a short reply to the girl he called Kula, as he still maintained his walking speed. He hated being dragged around, plus he was confident that Kula would be able to take care of herself, as he sensed no real danger nearby.

 

 

"If you say so !" Kula giggled and then she ran off to their home, leaving K' behind as he sighed, but too lazy to speed up. Eventually, Kula arrived at home. She opened the door and exclaimed, "Diana, I'm home !!" But her exclaim would end shortly and abruptly... as she saw the interior of the house in a mess. "What happened here... Diana !!?" Kula tried to call her guardian, but there was no reply. Suddenly Kula remembered something.

 

 

"Oh, silly me ! Diana already said she's gonna be away with Maxima and Whip, so I'd be only with K' when we got home !" Kula said, with a little relief. However, she was a bit concerned with the house. "Who could have done this...?" She muttered as she walked inside the house. "How..." She muttered again as she entered the kitchen. Suddenly, a hand clamped her mouth, and stuck her nose with a chloroform. "Mmmmphh !" Kula tried to struggle, but she managed not to breathe. In instant, her hair turned into light blue, and she instantly entered combat mode. When she said "Mmmmphh !" she also let out an ice breath, freezing the hand. Kula stepped forward from her 'captor' and came face to face with a white hooded magician.

 

 

"That was close... Who are you anyway !?" Kula asked in a suspicion, and the white magician said, "Hmph... I'd rather not tell you now... I have another guest to greet." "And why are you doing this to my house !?" Kula asked again, and she got the answer straight away, "Humph. To make a decent battlefield of course."

 

 

"Battlefield...? My house is not a battlefield, you jerk !" Kula said as she gathered her ice power within her hand. She pointed her palm to the magician and let out a freezing ice spike to him. The magician was instantly frozen to death with it. "Take that !" Kula exclaimed in victory. But then, she suddenly heard a voice, "Hmph... It won't be as easy as you think." "Wha...!?" Kula said in shock as she turned back. However, all was too late. She saw a staff swinging to her and everything was black on her eyes afterwards, as she fell to the ground, unconscious.

 

 

After some time, K' arrived home, and found the house still in a mess. "... This sucks." He grumbled as he entered the messed up house... only to hear faint, muffled cries of Kula. "... Hm !? What the hell is that little kitten trying to pull...?" K' said in suspicion, and he walked to the kitchen, believing that the source was there. Inside, he found Kula in a bit of predicatement. She was lying on the ground, her hands tied behind her back, or in short, she was tied up like how Sorcerer tied up Fuuko. And of course, a black duct tape was placed on her mouth, gagging her. Not just that, another thick black cloth was covering her mouth as well, gagging her even further.

 

 

"Mmmmpphh ! Mmmhh !! Mmmmpphh !!" Kula tried to warn K' what would happen to him, but K' made a misinterpretation. "Kula, we don't have time to play a tie up game. Get up !" But, Kula continued to say a lot of muffled voices and struggled on her bonds, although futile. "Mmmmmppphh !! Mmmmmppphh !!" "Now don't make me... Huh ?" K' was about to get angry, but he saw a certain neck bracer on Kula's neck, which was why she was always on her battle mode, but cannot conjure any ice to break free.

 

 

"What's that..." K' muttered, but suddenly a voice echoed behind him, "Humph... Welcome, K'." "Stop hiding, you fool !" K' exclaimed in anger and suddenly he found himself surrounded with fifteen figures of the white magician ! Some was guarding Kula, though. "What kind of freak are you ?" K' asked and the magicians said in unison, "Humph. I am one of The Evils... Codename : Illusionist, Master of Illusion Magics... My mission is to take Kula Diamond to our leader."

 

 

"You're taking her ?" K' said in a grim tone, "Sorry, but not after you turn into ashes... by me !" K' then swung his arm forward, creating a momentary ring of fire in front of him, burning one of the Illusionist figures. Not enough, he yelled, "Second Shell !" as he kicked the ring of fire, bursting out a small flame wave from his kick, burning even more figures. But, just as he was done doing that, the figures that he burnt suddenly rematerialized.

 

 

"Humph... I am a master of Illusion magic. You should notice that these are just my illusions..." The Illusionists said, "Humph... which one of me is real ? Can you find out...? I may be the one facing you... yet I may be the one guarding Kula Diamond..." K' snickered and said, "Well only one way to find out... I'll kick all of your asses."

 

 

And thus, K' began fighting the illusions, as the illusions began to fight back. The fight took quite long, and K' was unable to find the real Illusionist. As he burnt one illusion with his Crow Bite, he started to think of a new strategy, and came up with a new one. "Damn coward hiding in the illusions !" K' taunted him, but Illusionist replied, "Humph... Bark as much as you want, you dog... My time has come anyway." "Mmmpph !?" Kula then felt like she was carried away. In truth, she was being picked up and placed on the shoulder of the real Illusionist, who suddenly appeared. He chanted some words and opened up a portal.

 

 

"Humph... I'll be leaving... but I'll give you a hint if you want her back... The hint is Kelvin Vagabond." Illusionist said as he jumped to the portal, taking Kula along as she screamed, "MMMMMPPPHHH !!!!" "You're not taking her... and that'll be enough..." K' said as he gathered most of the firepower to his arm... and he unleashed one of his Desperation Move, Heat Drive. K' charged forward in a very quick speed with his arm in front, especially the arm where his glove was located. And as his flaming hand touch one illusion, the illusion was sent airborne, burning in a high temperature and eventually the illusion would explode. However, even though he aimed for the real Illusionist, when K' reached him, the portal already closed, and thus, he failed to save Kula.

 

 

"Tch... dammit !" K' cursed under his breath, realizing his failure. But then, he realized that he still had a hope... that Kula was alive and could be saved. "So the hint was this someone called Kelvin Vagabond..." K' then decided to investigate about this fellow named Kelvin. But there's one thing he knew that he could never avoid for now... facing the wrath of Diana for failing to protect Kula...
