Chapter 2

 

 

 

After he was done training with his Kusarigama, Kelvin sat next to his computer, searching for possible reasons of his dreams. It was later until the computer gave him a message. "New dimension spotted, Kelvin." it said, and Kelvin replied, "Well, show me."

 

 

The computer then showed him a dark dimension with a dark looking gate/fortress. However, Kelvin could sense a familar feeling. "What...!? This... this feels like that... creepy voice." Kelvin muttered, as he saw seven figures of magician on the screen. One of them resemble Necromancer, but obviously Kelvin didn't recognize him. What's more, this feeling was even worse than the feeling he received when he was near the former Evils, the ones led by Luther.

 

 

"What is this place...?" Kelvin muttered, until suddenly the alarm rang. And Kelvin was flooded with calls... now 6 men at once ! "Oh man... not again..."

 

 

-Jump City-

 

 

It was another normal day for the Teen Titans. Today, they were going to hang out and eat some pizza, just like any other days. "So, then, what will you order, guys ?" The leader, Robin, asked. "... Anything will do." Raven said, and continued with Beast Boy, "Extra anchovies for me ! Ha !" But suddenly he was interrupted with Cyborg, "Aw ! I was about to order that ! Why don't you pick something more suited for a vegetarian like you ?" "HEY ! I can propose a change sometimes, can't I !?" Beast Boy replied back and they both went to bicker again, making Raven to slap her forehead in embarrassment. Robin then looked at Starfire, who were still confused.

 

 

"Star ? Have you ordered ?" Robin asked, and she replied, "I am sorry, Robin... but... I just can not make up my mind... about the food. This yellow looking thing looks delicious, but I also like this thing with a mushroom on it also looks good..." "It's called 'pizza'" Robin explained Starfire about the one she constantly called 'thing' and he continued, "Here, I'll try and choose something that you might like."

 

 

"Oh, thank you so much, Robin !" Starfire said happily, as Robin tried to find a pizza that she might like... but suddenly he heard a lot of people's yell. Robin looked behind, and saw some explosions and people running from it. He put down the menu booklet on the table, stood up and exclaimed, "Titans, trouble !!". The other Titans knew what to do, and they immediately got up from their seats and headed to the source of the explosions.

 

 

In the middle of the street, a blue-hooded man that looked like a mage floated on there. In a swing of his staff, building crumbled, water started to turn into acids and destroying the streets and a lot of disasters happened. It was just then when Robin and the Titans arrived. "You'd be best to cease that show, or we'll bust you out of this town !" Robin said, trying to give a notice to the mage, just like he did to the other criminals he faced and beaten. But the mage just looked and said calmly, "Ah... the Teen Titans is here... especially Starfire."

 

 

"Um... do you know me ?" Starfire asked in confusion. And this time, Beast Boy said, "Dude, if Starfire knows someone she'd immediately introduce us ! Who the heck are you ?" "Heh heh... very well... I am of The Evils. Codename : Sage. I am the Master of Alteration Magics... I came to take Starfire with me to my leader..." the mage said, and every Titans were shocked. "Did I..." Starfre was to ask about what she did that she deserved it, but Raven cut her in, "Not without a fight." "You'll have to get through the Teen Titans first !" Cyborg added with confidence in his tone. "Well, you heard them straight from their mouths... our reply." Robin said as he got into his battle stance, and he yelled.

 

 

"TITANS, GO !!!!"

 

 

As the Teen Titans charged to Sage, he began to glow blue and said, "Ho ho ! So you think I can be beaten that easily ? Well, give it your best shot !" "Oh, shut up." Raven said as she gathered her powers, "AZARATH METREON ZINTHOS !!!" With her powers, Raven lifted a car and sent it to Sage, followed by Beast Boy drinking a huge amount of waters and turned into an elephant and shot the water, and then Robin throwing his explosive birdarangs, and then Starfire sending her Star Bolts and finally ending with Cyborg blasting his Sonic Cannon, making Sage caught in an explosion. Thinking that they had won, Cyborg exclaimed, "BOOYAH !!!"

 

 

"Heh heh..." suddenly Sage's voice echoed, and then the Titans was shocked as they saw Sage was standing there. He had turned his skin and robe into an indestructible rock, rendering all the Titans' attacks useless. "Well looks like it's not over yet." Raven said as she floated once more. "Let me handle this, dudes and dudettes !" Beast Boy said as he prepared another transformation, "Behold my newest, greatest, most innovative transformation ever... the SPITTING COBRA !!"

 

 

In short, Beast Boy shapeshifted into a spitting cobra... a certain species of cobra that could spit its venom to the victim's eye, rendering it blind for a certain of time, maybe forever. The other Titans' reactions differs. Starfire clapped her hands happily and said, "Wow ! That was cool !" Meanwhile, Raven just slapped her hand to her forehead and Cyborg protested, "Hey ! I was expecting something cooler !" Robin sighed and said, "Beast Boy, I know you like to joke around, but this opponent looks strong. This is not the time."

 

 

Beast Boy hissed as if he was about to say, 'Now watch me !' Then, he spitted his venom, heading to Sage's head. But, all he said was, "Fool ! REFLECTOR !!" Sage then chanted some words and a magic wall was formed right in front of his face. The wall bounced the spit back, and it quickly returned to Beast Boy and he was dumbfounded and instead the spit hit his eyes.

 

 

"HISSSS.... AAARRGGHH !!!" Beast Boy hissed as he turned back to human form and his hiss turned into a scream of pain, holding his eyes, "I'M BLIND !! I'M BLIND !!!" "BEAST BOY !!!" the other Titans came to Beast Boy, who was rolling on the floor, holding his eyes. Cyborg then stood up in anger and said, "Now you're really gonna get it, hood boy !!" He then roared and charged to Sage, trying to punch him. His limiter was going off limit again, going for 150% of his maximum power. Sage didn't even flinch as Cyborg launched his punch. He just pointed his staff right to Cyborg's fist, and Cyborg stopped moving.

 

 

"W... what's this !?" Cyborg said in shock, "My... my body can't move !" "Well that was easy." Sage said cockily, "You just got hit with my Power Drain. Now my spell will drain your power... into 0% !" Suddenly, Cyborg felt numb and powerless. "W.... whaaaattt''ss.s..s hh... haaappppeennninnngg.....?" He said as he started to lose consciousness and dropped down and unconscious, as if he was shut down.

 

 

"CYBORG !!" Robin and Starfire shouted as they approached Cyborg. Raven, however, was still floating and said, "You are going to regret this...", and then she spread her arms and her eyes glew white. "Really... it was futile. I can read your spells and copy it just fine... like this !" Sage said as he spread his arms, "AZARATH METREON ZINTHOS !!!"

 

 

Suddenly, Raven's power turned back to herself, and her dark powers began to encircle her and bind her. "Urgh ! What did you..." Raven asked, but she knew she had no time to ask around, and she prepared another spell, "Azarath..." However, as she was bound with her own powers, her chanting speed became slower. Sage used this advantage to recite the spell again, "AZARATH METREON ZINTHOS !!!" Suddenly, when Raven tried to recite another word, another of her dark power turned against her and circled her mouth, gagging her, turning her chant into, "... Metreon... Zin-Mmmppggh !". But Sage didn't even gave her a chance and chanted the spell again, "AZARATH METREON ZINTHOS !!!"

 

 

 

"MMMMPPPPGGGHHH !!!" this time, Raven was screaming loudly. It appeared that this time, Sage's spell made the dark powers that bound Raven tightened their binds to them, slowly giving Raven trouble to breathe. "GGGRRRMMMPPHHH !!!" she squirmed and struggled, but the bonds were too tight and she couldn't do a thing about it. Until finally, Sage exclaimed, "Enough !" And then, all the dark powers that bound and gagged Raven vanished. However, Raven has lost a lot of air, and she collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

 

 

"RAVEN !!" For once again, Robin shouted at his fallen comrade. Starfire, on the other hand, had her eyes glowing in anger and said, "You... you have hurted my friends in the most unforgivable way... For that... I will now use all my power to destroy you, YOU VARBLERNERK !!" (a/n : Taken from 'clorbag varblernelk', as Ry told me, it means 'clumsy jerk'. I just hope that valblernerk alone means 'jerk').

 

 

"AAARRGHH !!" Out of anger as well, Robin dashed out and threw his ray discs, followed with Starfire unleashing her eye beams. Sage just grinned and swung his staff. Once again he was caught on another explosion. However, when the explosion faded away, he was there, standing healthily.

 

 

"Feels good." Sage said, "You have something refreshing like that anymore ?" "What...!? He was healed !?" Robin said in disbelief. Sage chanted another spell and then struck Robin with a bolt of energy. He didn't feel any pain, but instead, he was feeling really heavy. "Urgh ! What's your trick this time !?" He asked as he collapsed to the ground, unable to lift his body anymore. "Well, wanna know ? That was my Alter Weight spell. " Sage explained, but his eyes turned serious, "But enough play... now the serious deal."

 

 

Sage then glared at Starfire. She was confused at first, but suddenly, her hands moved by itself. "What... what is happening here !?" she said as her hands bent themselves behind her back. Suddenly, a lot of ropes were summoned and began tying her hands behind her on her wrists and below her elbows. Another set of ropes bound her legs on her ankles, knees and thighs. Another set bound her body on her shoulder and waist, and another rope bound her forming an x in front of her breasts, with her breasts as its center. And finally, a white tape gagged her mouth and then a thick white cloth circled around her mouth and gagged her again.

 

 

"STARFIRE !!" Robin shouted again as Starfire helplessly collapsed to the ground as she sruggled and screamed, "Mmmmmppphhh !!!" Sage approached her and lifted her up on his shoulders. He chanted some words and a portal appeared. He then threw a dart with a paper stuck on it, and said "Now then... Ta-ta, Titans." And then he jumped to the portal, carrying Starfire as well, as she screamed, calling Robin, "MMMMMMMMMMPPPPHHHH !!!!"

 

 

"No !! Starfire !!!" Robin yelled, but his currently altered weight didn't allow him to move and save Starfire. But when the portal closed, Robin's weight was restored. But still, he was too late to save Starfire. He took the dart and tried to open the paper, but... Beast Boy's yell, "I'M BLIND !!!" made Robin realize that he first has to tend his companions first. "Don't worry, Beast Boy. I'll get you all home and better."

 

 

Robin then took Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven on his R-Cycle and for once he drove slowly and safely back to Titans Tower, so he didn't drop any of his friends. Once there, he quickly put Cyborg into proper maintenance unit, until he will eventually recover his strength back. Although he wasn't as skilled as Cyborg, at least Robin has learned a bit of machinery during his stay with Batman. After taking care of Cyborg, he tended to Beast Boy's eyes and used some good antidotes to his eyes. "All right, Beast Boy. You just gotta calm down, rest and everything will be okay." The last thing he did was taking Raven to a bed and put a certain device, used on hospital to deliver fresh air, on her, so she could breathe better. Robin has got to work hard, as he must make up the presence of the healer, Raven, who was out of commission.

 

 

Finally, after a long time working, Robin was ready to read the dart that Sage gave him. He opened it and read it.

 

 

'I'll be generous and give you a hint if you want Starfire back. The hint is... Kelvin Vagabond.'

 

 

"Kelvin Vagabond...? Must be someone who knows a lot..." Robin mumbled, until he closed the paper and said, "Right. Better start investigating about this Kelvin.?" Robin then headed to his personal room, and begun investigating about who this Kelvin Vagabond is...
