THE MERCENARY ACROSS TIME AND SPACE

 

 

Chapter 4

 

 

In the planet of Elicoor II, located in the Eternal Sphere, two people were beamed down from above... two blue haired people, a boy and a girl. These two were responsible for saving the Eternal Sphere from being deleted. Their names... Fayt Leingod and Maria Traydor. Currently, they were planning to have a reunion with their friends in the trading town of Peterny.

 

 

Fayt : Well, I wonder how everyone is doing...

Maria : I'm sure they're all waiting for us. Come, let's go.

Fayt : Okay... Oof !!

 

 

Suddenly, Fayt received a knock from behind on his head. He immediately fell unconscious.

 

 

Maria : Fayt ! Fayt !! Are you okay !?

???? : Down... Now only you remains...

Maria : Who goes there !?

 

 

Maria faced behind... and saw Kelvin. It appeared that he just stunned Fayt using a long ranged stun gun.

 

 

Kelvin : Maria Traydor, we have some business to do here...

Maria : Who are you ?

Kelvin : It's not important. Now draw your phase gun !

Maria : So, you wish to fight ? I accept your challenge.

Kelvin : That's more like it...

 

 

Maria drew her weapon, a phase gun. Soon, a gun fight was unavoidable. Maria did her best to shoot Kelvin, but all of them missed. Kelvin was pretty good at dodging, but Maria also excels in it. Just then, Maria charged her phase gun.

 

 

Maria : I have to finish this quick...

Kelvin : I've been waiting for this...

Maria : Take this !! ENERGY BURST....

 

 

Maria then unleashed a huge beam from her gun. But, she didn't realize that Kelvin threw an object to her... Suddenly, she couldn't move, or unleash the beam... And she's not feeling really well, either.

 

 

Maria : I... What happened ?

Kelvin : You fell for it... It's just a Duck Duck Bomb to stun you !

Maria : W... what !?

Kelvin : All right. Now the real business...

Maria : Wait ! What are you doing !?

 

 

Kelvin then proceeded to tie Maria up in the same fashion like he did to Hikaru and Nakoruru. Except that he now uses a roll of silver duct tape to gag Maria. She wanted to resist, but her body won't respond to her.

 

 

Maria : Mmmmmmppphh !!

Kelvin : Now then, where should I beam up...

Fayt : .... Urgh...

Kelvin : ... Oh crap.

Maria : MMMMPPHHH !!!!

Kelvin : Better scram before he wakes up and mess things up !

Maria : MMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPHHH !!!

 

 

Taking Maria on his shoulder, Kelvin ran off to the direction to Surferio Underwater Garden. When Fayt woke up, both of them are nowhere on his sight.

 

 

Fayt : Oww... my head hurts... But, I think I heard a muffled scream... Oh no ! Maria !!

 

 

Realizing what happened, Fayt began searching for Maria. Kelvin just watched his futile effort using a telescope, while he left Maria sitting behind a rock, bound and gagged, and continued to moan.

 

 

Kelvin : Man... quite an idiot...

Maria : Mmmmmphhh !?

Kelvin : Don't worry, it'll all be over soon... Eh !?

 

 

Kelvin was shocked when he saw Fayt heading towards his direction...

 

 

Kelvin : Oh crap... Better get in the garden now... He won't think that far to travel there.

Maria : Mmmpphh !!

 

 

Once again, Kelvin took Maria on his shoulders and got in the Surferio Underwater Garden. Meanwhile, Fayt finally searched around the Garden area, but found no one.

 

 

Fayt : Don't tell me she's in this Underwater Garden... but the monsters lately got stronger... Coming alone may be suicide... What should I do...?

 

 

Fayt was thrown into a deep thought. Meanwhile, Kelvin finally found a safe hiding place in the Underwater Garden from Fayt. But, soon, he was confronted with three coffin monsters wielding schytes.

 

 

Kelvin : Damn... Oh well, this better be good...

 

 

Kelvin put Maria down to the ground and he engaged the monsters with his sword. Maria still struggled and moaned, hoping that the monsters would be attracted to her, try to attack her and ended up untying her. But, no. Kelvin slain those monsters before they even got close.

 

 

Maria : Mmmmphh...

Kelvin : Too bad. Oh well, it's time... Wanderer, beam us up !

 

 

Kelvin took Maria on his shoulder again, and he was beamed up together with her. Meanwhile, after thinking for quite long, Fayt came to a decision.

 

 

Fayt : Maybe I SHOULD go there. Hold on, Maria. I'm coming !

 

 

Fayt braved the garden himself. Surprisingly, the enemies weren't as strong as he thought. He managed to fend them off himself. However, even after he explored thoroughly, he found no signs of Maria...

 

 

Back in the Wanderer, Kelvin took Maria to where he kept Hikaru and Nakoruru, and tied her to the third chair. She's separated to the other two girls, due to the 'walls' separating them. Then, he got on his seat and he received a transmission from Luther.

 

 

Luther : So ? How did it go ?

Kelvin : Three damsels captured. Now only Zhen Ji remains...

Maria : Mmmmmpphh !?

Luther : Ha ha... moan while you can, girls... I'm sure when you got to us... you'll moan even more... hysterically... Ha ha ha ha !!

Kelvin : ... Can I go now ?

Luther : Not yet. You are to receive an extra mission, since we've got ourselves a new member here...

 

 

Luther stepped back, and in place of him was a handsome, yet scary man, wearing a black armor and red cape.

 

 

Kelvin : And who might you be ?

Man : I am the Demon Lord, Nobunaga Oda.

Kelvin : Nobunaga ? That mighty daimyo in Feudal Japan ?

Nobunaga : Exactly. I want to confirm another damsel for you to capture...

Kelvin : ... Why did you join ?

Nobunaga : ... Worthless question... but I'll answer that. I thrive chaos... and this team seems to offer enough chaos for me to enjoy...

Kelvin : All right, who is this damsel I need to capture ?

 

 

Luther returned to the screen, and typed something. The screen then displayed a beautiful, armored Japanese maiden. She's wielding a bow...

 

 

Nobunaga : Morimasa Inahime... or Ina, in short. She is the adoptive daughter of the great Tadakatsu Honda... one of the Four Guardians of Ieyasu Tokugawa.

Kelvin : So, what's your catch to get her ?

Nobunaga : I can see that one day, Ieyasu will betray me... And when it happens, I will have trouble to fend off Tadakatsu's might. But, if I can get his daughter as a hostage... I can disable him.

Kelvin : Hostage situations, eh...? Consider it done. But I will get Dong Zhuo's damsel first.

Dong Zhuo : You're late to join, so deal with it !

Nobunaga : Hmph ! Do as you like.

Luther : You know what to do then...

Kelvin : Good ! I will get this Ina soon... but now, I'm heading to Xu Chang in the Three Kingdoms Era... Kelvin, off.

 

 

Kelvin then turned off the monitor, after he printed a potrait of Ina's face as his reminder. And then, he pressed the buttons and once again the Wanderer blasted off in a high speed and vanished without trace from Eternal Sphere...
