Chapter 11

 

 

 

Gandara lifted its restrained arms and suddenly it smashed the grounds, creating a ground quake. The heroes jumped in time and all of them performed leaping attacks. But, all was futile to the monster. With one easy swipe, the monster swoop the heroes away.

 

 

Fayt : He is powerful... But I'm not giving up yet !

Lantis : We need a strategy here.

Cao Pi : Strategy, eh... Damn, if only Sima Yi is here...

Kelvin : I know one... Tadakatsu, you are the strongest between us physically. Wrestle with that monster to distract it.

Tadakatsu : ... I'll do it, but what will you do ?

Kelvin : We'll try to find this thing's weakness. Not to worry... Galford, Lantis, provide support for Tadakatsu. Fayt, Cao Pi, you guys help me scout this guy's weakness.

 

 

Everyone nodded in agreement. Tadakatsu charged to Gandara and began slashing it with his massive Tombo-Giri, the Dragonfly Slayer spear. Reacting to it, the monster started swinging his massive arm to attack Tadakatsu. The general dodged several times while also attacking, until suddenly Gandara tried to thwack him with his two arms. Luckily, Tadakatsu managed to hold him off into a deadlock between his spear and its arms, but the monster was very strong, even Tadakatsu was having trouble in matching his strength.

 

 

Tadakatsu : I can't... end like this...! Not yet !

Galford : Should we assist him now ?

Lantis : ... I was about to say that.

Galford : Good... now, go sic'im, Poppy !

Poppy : Woof !!

 

 

Poppy then rushed to tackle Gandara continuously. It did weaken it a bit, enabling Tadakatsu to catch up the momentum of the deadlock. But, of course, Poppy's constant tackling was not enough.

 

 

Lantis : We help out too... LIGHTING STRIKE !!

Galford : Of course ! PLASMA BLADE !!!

 

 

Lantis summoned a beam of light from his blade thrust, while Galford threw two lightning powered kunais to Gandara's arms. They launched their attacks continuously, enabling Tadakatsu to gain more advantages in the deadlock... Until suddenly Galford's Plasma Blade went the wrong way and it hit Gandara's head. It roared painfully, making Tadakatsu win the deadlock. Then, Gandara continued swinging his attacks to Tadakatsu. In the same time...

 

 

Fayt : That looks like it ! The weakness of the monster !

Cao Pi : So, it's the head, eh...? Let's do it now. If we waste more time, that Tadakatsu may fall.

Kelvin : Okay. Remember, our target is its head !

 

 

Kelvin, Fayt and Cao Pi leapt to Gandara's head. The monster was caught in another deadlock with Tadakatsu, so it couldn't retaliate to its other attackers. Cao Pi came first, and using his double edged sword, he sliced the head by spinning his sword like spinning a stick. Fayt prepared some gunpowders, and the Destruction gene within him started to affect the strength of his gunpowders. And then...

 

 

Fayt : SHOTGUN... BLAST !!

 

 

Fayt threw the gunpowders to Gandara's head, and the gunpowders exploded on its head, creating even more pain. Kelvin himself was ready with his katana, leaping to Gandara's head...

 

 

Kelvin : Take this... AERIAL FLASH SLICER !!

 

 

Kelvin swoop his katana straight to Gandara's head in a flash. The katana went through it, and the monster couldn't handle the pain anymore. It roared and collapsed to ground, unconscious. Luckily, Tadakatsu already moved out of the way, so he didn't get trampled.

 

 

Galford : Good one, Kelvin ! Another blow of justice, dealt by you !

Kelvin : Heh. It's no big deal.

Lantis : Let's move on. The females are waiting.

 

 

The group of heroes entered the castle, and they soon came into a hall with six doors. A voice echoed.

 

 

Luther : Well, so you defeated Amakusa's monster... Talks about a weak one...

Galford : Now who the hell is this !?

Fayt : Luther !? So you're alive !?

Luther : Ha ! There's no way a data like you can defeat me !

Fayt : You... Where did you keep Maria !?

Luther : Calm down ! Now I'm going to explain about the Five Chambers of Death.

Kelvin : Five Chambers of Death ?

Luther : Yes... In one chamber, there is a captive kept inside. The Chambers are... Chamber of Burning Flame, Chamber of Natural Beast, Chamber of Steel Metal, Chamber of Deadly Poison, and Chamber of Drowning Water. The hint is... the power of your damsels.

Cao Pi : Power ?

Tadakatsu : I understand now... the chambers' names relate to the power of our female friends...

Lantis : Hikaru uses fire elemental. That means Chamber of Burning Flame for me.

Galford : Nakoruru is in touch with nature. Maybe it's Chamber of Natural Beast for me ?

Cao Pi : I know Zhen Ji uses Poison Orb. Then, it's Chamber of Deadly Poison for me.

Tadakatsu : Ina's weapon can freeze her opponents. I'll take the Chamber of Drowning Water.

Fayt : So that leaves me with the Chamber of Steel Metal... What does it have to do with Maria anyway ?

Luther : You shall see soon...

Kelvin : Wait. What about that sixth door over there ?

Luther : Ah, Kelvin... We have prepared a special greeting to you. You should enter the sixth door.

Kelvin : So what do you offer there ?

Luther : ... Parts of your past.

Kelvin : ... Interesting. I'll play along. Well, guys, it's about time we part ways. Save your female friends well.

Fayt : Okay. Good luck, Kelvin !

 

 

The heroes parted ways, entering the six doors. What awaits them there ?
