SAMURAI SHODOWN : A DEMON, A SAVIOR, A LOVER

 

 

Chapter 2

 

 

The black hooded men eventually arrived at a dark cavern near the village. Rimururu was carried inside, still in the cage, bound and gagged. Obviously, this made the environment around her became darker, and thus, she became even more scared. "Mmmmpphh ! Mmmmmmmpphh !" she tried to express her fear, but only muffled voices came out. And even the men ignored her.

 

 

Eventually, the men spotted several torches, and an entrance to a chamber. The chamber was not dark at all. It has some lights thanks to some torches. However, inside were a lot of corpses, skeletons, and blood... the remnants of Kusaregedou's victims. Rimururu was even more scared that she couldn't say anything, overcomed with fear. Eventually, the men dropped her cage and let her out of the cage, but they didn't untie her. They dropped Rimururu on the ground, and the leader said, "We will take our leave..." And then, the four men exitted the cave. Rimururu was getting even more scared... she was left alone there. She squirmed, struggled and screamed, "MMMMPPPHHH !!! MMMMMMMPPGGHH !!!" but it was no use. She was still tied tightly, and nobody heard her muffled scream... Nobody... except a certain demon that came into the scene several hours later.

 

 

Rimururu was shocked to see the demon... It has been a long time, but she was still horrified on how it looked. Big head, red skin, a lot of bones popping out of his body, fat body, and an ugly face of an old Gaki (Japanese demon)... It was none other than Kusaregedou.

 

 

"Uhehehehe.... You.... that girl...." Kusaregedou said slowly, as he licked his lips, and started to drool. He then moved his right arm, which didn't have a hand anymore, but only sharp bones of his arm skill was remained and popping out, trying to get Rimururu, and he mumbled "Hungry... Can't stand it anymore.... Itadakimasu...". At this rate, Rimururu has been squirming like crazy. She rolled sideways, heading to the corner of the room, and screamed "MMMMMPPPHHH !!!!", telling him to go away "Come... back..." Kusaregedou said and he pursued Rimururu. Eventually, she was cornered and there were no other escape routes. Kusaregedou tried to grab Rimururu, with his face starting to get excited. Rimururu used her last bit of strength to scream, "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!", not sure if it'll bring some miracle or no.

 

 

And yes, it did bring a miracle.

 

 

 

Suddenly, Kusaregedou felt like someone slashed his stomach. He stepped back, cancelling his attempt to eat Rimururu. He saw a black hooded man, carrying a katana covered with some blood. No doubt, it was him who did it. The man then exclaimed, "You will keep your hands of her body !" Rimururu was a bit shocked, she recognized the voice ! 'Who is this guy ? Sounds kinda familar...' she thought.

 

 

"You... a young girl...?" Kusaregedou asked, and the hooded man said, "I may be young, but..." then, he removed his hood... revealing his true form, Shizumaru Hisame ! "But I'm a boy." he finished his answer. "Mmmmpphh !" Rimururu was happy. Her friend came to save her ! Shizumaru looked at Rimururu, and said, "Wait right here... I must finish that demon first..." Then, he turned back to Kusaregedou and said, "You monster... why did you eat your own daughter !?" ".... I'm hungry.... Must eat..." Kusaregedou answered. Shizumaru was angered and said, "EAT !? Is eating all that is in your head !? Didn't you even recognize your own daughter !?" "Must.... eat.... eat.... eat...." Kusaregedou said as his stomach grubbled. "It's really useless to talk with a mindless demon like you." Shizumaru sighed, and he continued, "Now you will pay for Hakana's life !"

 

 

Shizumaru then ran to Kusaregedou, with his umbrella ready for battle. Kusaregedou said another word, "I... eat you... Itadakimasu..." and then, he suddenly vomitted to the ground, towards Shizumaru. However, suddenly Shizumaru leapt above and pounced his head with his umbrella, and slashed him with his sword, and moved behind him. Kusaregedou turned back and suddenly, his head started to get separated from his body. "MMMPPHHHH !!" Rimururu was horrified with the sight. Then, Kusaregedou launched his head to Shizumaru, as he prepared his umbrella. "Here goes !" Shizumaru yelled and threw his umbrella to the head. To his surprise, his umbrella was deflected, and the head tackled Shizumaru down.

 

 

"Ugh..." Shizumaru groaned in pain, but then he noticed that Kusaregedou's head were returning back to his body. "I must not miss this chance !" Shizumaru exclaimed and he ran to the body, grabbing his umbrella on the way and when he got close to the body, he opened his umbrella, revealing sharp steel edges of his umbrella... and he swung it to Kusaregedou's stomach. A lot of blood were flowing from his body, but Shizumaru didn't stop, until eventually Kusaregedou's head returned to his body, and he swung his arm to Shizumaru, and he dodged.

 

 

"Me... tired and hungry... need to eat... the girl..." Kusaregedou said. "Never ! As long as I'm here, you will never touch Rimururu !" Shizumaru yelled, stating his dedication again. However, suddenly, Kusaregedou's face expression became disgusting. Shizumaru was stunned, but suddenly, a lot of hands and limbs came out from the ground, and grabbed Shizumaru, immobilizing him. "Oh no...!" Shizumaru said as he struggled. Kusaregedou ignored him and turned his attention to Rimururu. "Finally... looks good... Itadakimasu..." Kusaregedou said as he drooled, and he moved his hand, trying to grab Rimururu. She struggled again, and cried in fear, "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPHHHHHH !!!"

 

 

 

Looking and hearing Rimururu's cry, Shizumaru couldn't take it. 'I must save her at all cost...! That is why I am here....!!' In this desperate time, Shizumaru managed to gather all his strength and grabbed his umbrella with both of his hands. He then swung his umbrella with a massive force, opening it, revealing the edges, and his might swoop away the hands and limbs that held him back. He kept moving towards Kusaregedou, and his umbrella spin became like a spinning wheel of death. As Kusaregedou's arms were one centimetre away from Rimururu, Shizumaru hit the demon from behind. But he didn't stop... "How about THIS !?" he yelled as he jumped. The umbrella was also carried, and it continued to slice Kusaregedou's body, and eventually as Shizumaru reached the top of the demon's head, he jumped back and landed gracefully with his umbrella opened, no longer spinning. In the same time, Kusaregedou couldn't move anymore. Eventually his body was split into two and both parts collapsed to the ground. "It's.... over..." Shizumaru said as he saw the dead body of Kusaregedou, "Hakana... I... I have to do it... I'm sorry..."

 

 

And then, Shizumaru approached Rimururu. "You're safe now" he said as he and untied her, and removed her gag. Rimururu then suddenly hugged him and said happily, "Thanks for saving me, Shizumaru ! You're my hero !" Shizumaru hugged her back and replied, "It's no big deal... I can't bear to lose you either..." And then, they both got up and and Shizumaru said, "Come, let's get outta here."

 

 

They both made their way outside. It was morning already. "Where will you go now, Shizumaru ?" Rimururu asked him, "You have been wandering ever since that time, right ?" "... I'll probably be on the road, travelling again..." Shizumaru answered. Rimururu was silent for awhile, and then she said, "I know ! Why don't you stay with me in Kamui Kotan ?". Shizumaru then said with a regret, "That's a great offer... but I have to pass." "Why !?" Rimururu insisted him, "Sis will be more than willing to accept you !" But, Shizumaru stayed with his reason, "I'm sorry, I can't... I... just don't want to trouble Nakoruru anymore."

 

 

Rimururu then grunted, her face showing an annoyance. But, eventually she smiled again and said, "... All right, if you insist, Shizumaru..." "I'm sorry I couldn't be with you for longer... You should probably return home." Shizumaru said, "Nakoruru must be worried sick about you." "Okay..." Rimururu said as she walked away. But, before she went quite far, she returned to Shizumaru. And she asked, "Can I do something first ?" "Do what...?" Shizumaru asked, but suddenly Rimururu moved her face close to Shizumaru, and she kissed him on the cheek. "It's my token of gratitude for saving me !" Rimururu said as Shizumaru was speechless and blushing. "Okay then, I'll see you later !" Rimururu exclaimed as she ran off, heading home. As she ran, she looked at Shizumaru and waved her hand, shouting "See you later !!"

 

 

"See you later.... Rimururu..." Shizumaru mumbled as he waved his hand back. When Rimururu was already out of his sight, he returned to the village... only to be met by the old man and another old man at his age... he looked like the elder of the village.

 

 

"Y... you returned, young man ! What did you do !?" The old man said. Shizumaru's face shows no signs of lies as he said, "I have killed the demon Kusaregedou... he will trouble your village no more." "WHAT !?" Both exclaimed in surprise. The elder then said, "Young man... you are truly a savior of this village... Is there anything we can do to you for what you did...?" Shizumaru thought a little and said, "Well, I guess I got a bit tired for travelling too long... Can I stay here as a normal villager ? Without branding me as a hero ?" The elder nodded and said, "Yes... welcome to our village... your new home." The old man approached Shizumaru and said, "You can stay in my house, if you're willing." "I'd like to." Shizumaru said and he followed the old man to his new house. 'Finally... I can settle down in peace at last...' Shizumaru thought... as he thought his journey was over... and his new life is about to begin...
