FIRST ENCOUNTER

 

 

 

Chapter 2

 

 

In a small house within the forest, Yari and his gang was trying to gain profit by selling the woods he cut beforehand to another thief. He left Nakoruru in the corner, sitting down, still bound and gagged, and basically, he ignored every actions that she did, either she's struggling or making muffled voices. He just continued on with his deal.

 

 

 

Yari : So you wanna buy it or not !?

Guest thief : Can you lower the price more ?

Yari : This is the lowest ! Take it or leave !

Guest thief : Okay... geez...

 

 

The thief handed the money to Yari, and left with the woods. In the same time, Yari stood up and he and his band of thieves surrounded Nakoruru.

 

 

Nakoruru : Mmmmf...?

Yari : OK, cute girl ! Basically, now you have two options ! The first is... you entertain us with some... hehe....

Nakoruru : MMMMMPPHHH !!

Yari : Or second... *draws his knife and threatens Nakoruru on the neck* ... I kill you !

Nakoruru : Mmmmppphh ! Mmmmpph !

Yari : Which will it be... Let's throw a coin then. If it's heads, I'll go for the first. If it's tails, I'll go for the second...

 

 

As Yari threw a coin, Nakoruru struggled even harder, but she could not affect anything. In the end, the result of the coin toss was...

 

 

Yari : ... Tails.

Nakoruru : ....

Yari : Well, too bad a cute girl like you must die...

Nakoruru : Mmmphh ! *kicks Yari's groin*

Yari : OOOWWWWW !! Ow ! Oww !! Dammit, it hurts, you wench !

 

 

As Yari was jumping around due to the pain, the other thieves held Nakoruru's body and some even pointed their own knife on her neck, threatening to kill her. Yari then approached her.

 

 

Yari : That does it... Now you die !

Nakoruru : Mmmmpphh !! Mmmmmmmpphh !! (Mother Nature... please save me...!)

 

 

Just when Yari was about to thrust his knife to Nakoruru's neck, someone busted in from above, breaking through the ceiling. In a quick time, that someone kicked all thieves away from Nakoruru, including Yari. Upon further inspection... that someone was Galford !

 

 

Galford : Hey, Yari ! Why not pick on someone else on your size... like me ?

Yari : !! You... you're Galford !!

Galford : Damn straight ! I'm here to bring justice to you !

Yari : T... this is no good ! Get him, guys !!

 

 

Yari sent his men to attack Galford. However, Galford gathered all his might, and generated electricity through his body, stunning Yari's men. Some of them cowered and tried to run and observe from the outside of the house. Out of options, Yari picked up Nakoruru and used her as a shield.

 

 

Yari : Hey ! Stop right there !

Galford : ... Swine ! All you can do is only using hostages !

Yari : You move any closer then this girl gets it !

Nakoruru : Mmmmmppphh !!

Galford : Hey... Poppy.

Yari : I said don't move... EH !?

 

 

Yari suddenly felt something on his foot... it appeared that he was bitten by something. And that something was... Galford's dog, Poppy ! With that, Yari released Nakoruru a bit, while trying to drive Poppy away. Nakoruru didn't miss the chance and tackled Yari to Galford... who grabbed him.

 

 

Galford : Hey, good one... uh... Nakoruru !

Nakoruru : Mmmmpph !

Galford : Okay, thief, prepare for the electrfying ride for your life... STRIKE HEADS !!

 

 

Galford then leapt very high above, carrying Yari on the way. Then, he returned downwards, delivering a ninja-ish diving piledriver. And when Yari's head struck the ground, lightning bolts struck a small surrounding area. Yari was left unconscious, as Galford untied Nakoruru.

 

 

Galford : You're safe now.

Nakoruru : Thank you very much... uh... what was your name again ?

Galford : It's Galford...

Nakoruru : Okay... Galford... Thank you.

Galford : No problem !

Nakoruru : What brought you here anyway ?

Galford : This guy has been wanted for a long time. I need to bring him to justice.

Nakoruru : Justice ? Then you're...

Galford : Yep ! I'm the champion of justice, defending it is my job ! Right, Poppy ?

Poppy : Woof !

Nakoruru : Wow, you can talk to your dog ?

Galford : Yep ! We've been partners for a long time !

Nakoruru : What a pair... Actually, I have a falcon that I can talk with too. Maybe I can introduce it later ?

Galford : Sure ! It's a pleasure to fulfill the request of a fair maiden like you.

Nakoruru : *giggle* You're funny...

 

 

Suddenly, the house started burning. It appears that the thieves outside burned the house !

 

 

Nakoruru : No ! What are they thinking !?

Galford : Let's get out of here with Yari ! I'll never let him die before he goes to jail !

 

 

Taking Yari on his shoulder, Galford escaped the house with Nakoruru and Poppy. They do saw some thieves running away. But, what's worse... due to the fire and several winds blowing, the fire spread to the forest, starting to burn it.

 

 

Nakoruru : *gasp* This... this is horrible !

Galford : Man... I never thought...

Nakoruru : ... They defiled nature... They will not get away with this !

 

 

Nakoruru then ran in a speed quicker than Galford to the thieves, and slashed one of them, wounding him enough so he could not run anymore. All other thieves, enraged with her acts, attacked her too, but she also slashed them, wounding them in the same fashion like her first victim. Galford came to her.

 

 

Nakoruru : I hate hurting... but you've gone too far... so this is the punishment from Nature !

Galford : Whoa... you did it yourself ? And you didn't even kill ?

Nakoruru : ... I don't like taking other people's life...

Galford : (What a girl... eh ?)

Nakoruru : *praying* Please... save this forest... Spirit of Nature...

 

 

As Nakoruru prayed, her body began to glow, surprising Galford. And in a short moment, it started to rain, and she stopped glowing as the forest fire began to diminish.

 

 

Nakoruru : Thank you...

Galford : Just a minute, Nakoruru... what... are you ?

Nakoruru : I am the protector of nature... my duty is to preserve the flow and balance of nature.

Galford : Whoa... that can be called justice too ! Well, I'll be back soon !

 

 

Galford then vanished along with the unconscious bodies of Yari and his thieves. And later, he returned with nobody else.

 

 

Nakoruru : Where did you go ?

Galford : Sending those thieves to jail for free !

Nakoruru : You didn't ask for money ?

Galford : Hey, I'm a justice fighter, not bounty hunter ! Money is not my concern !

Nakoruru : You're very honorable, Galford... Umm...

Galford : What's wrong ?

Nakoruru : Maybe... as a token of my gratitude for saving my life... you deserve this...

Galford : What do you mean...?

 

 

Just a moment after Galford said 'mean', Nakoruru already moved her head to his cheek and softly kissed his cheek. Nakoruru smiled and blushed a bit, but it's not Galford's case. He's blushing very madly, before he could control himself.

 

 

Nakoruru : Thank you...

Galford : Uh... yeah... It's no big deal !

Nakoruru : I should be returning home soon. My grandparents would be very sick of waiting.

Galford : Okay... I'm definitely going to visit you in the future !

Nakoruru : I'll be waiting for your visit, then... Good bye, Galford !

Galford : Good bye, Nakoruru...

 

 

Nakoruru then ran off to her house, leaving Galford with Poppy.

 

 

Galford : Strength... beauty... dedication... she basically got everything ! You know what, Poppy, I have fallen in love with Nakoruru !

Poppy : Woof ! *sticks tongue, doggy style*

Galford : But, this world is still filled with evil... Let's go, Poppy ! Our next battle awaits ! *runs*

Poppy : Woof !! *runs*

Galford : (I really hope we meet again one day... sweet Nakoruru...)

 

 

And thus, Galford continued his neverending crusade against evil. But it was in those moments that he met his love of his life... Nakoruru.
