: SCIENTIST
Synopsis
: A mad scientist that can travel through dimensions has kidnapped Lime, Cherry
and Bloodberry for the sake of experiments. Now, who does Otaru call in times
like this ? THE GET BACKERS !!
Now
let's get on with the story.
Chapter
1 : Enlist
Dark...
It was a dark environment, or so whatever Lime was seeing. She gave out a
little moan, but what came out was a muffled voice. She tried to touch her
mouth, but her hands won't move. They were stuck behind her back. Her legs
won't move either. Suddenly the lights were turned on real bright. Later, Lime
found out that she was sitting down, her hands bound behind her back with a
pair of ropes on a long stick stuck on the floor. Not only that, the another
rope was binding her ankles together, and also binding her legs on her thighs
and below her knees. And then, she also realized that her body was tied with
two long ropes, below and above her breasts. And to the top of that, a silver
duct tape was put on her mouth, effectively gagging her. She was very shocked
when she looked to her sides... she found Cherry on her right, and Bloodberry
on her left, both bound and gagged in the same fashion of hers. As for their
first reaction...
Lime,
Cherry & Bloodberry : Mmmmpphh !? (a/n : They're calling each other)
Next,
they struggle and squirm, but it was no use. Those ropes bound them tight.
Suddenly a figure with a white jacket resembling a doctor's jacket came in and
sat down in a chair in front of them. On his jacket, a name was written...
Galleon. Must have been his name.
Galleon
: Hello, my sweet marionettes. Welcome to your new home...
Bloodberry
: Mmmmmfff !? Mmmmff !? (Who're you !? Faust's henchmen ?!)
Cherry
: Mmmmmffff ! Mmmpphh !! (We've done nothing to you ! Please let us go !!)
Galleon
: Ha... how cute. But I'm sure after some experiments, I'll find out more about
you... Ha ha ha ha...
Lime
: ??? Mmmmf ? Mmmmph ? (Experiment ? What's that ?)
Galleon
: You look confused. Very well, this is what I'm gonna do. Watch !
Galleon
typed something on a computer with a big monitor nearby. The monitor shown them
a video clip... a video clip of him working... as a scientist... or to be
exact, a MAD SCIENTIST. A lot of scream and torture was shown. And as the video
clip finished, Lime found herself shaking with fear.
Galleon
: And that's about it.
Then,
Lime start to struggle like crazy, but it was still no use.
Lime
: MMMPPHH !! MMMMMPPPPHHH !!! (I'M SCARED !! I DON'T WANT TO GET THAT KIND OF
TREATMENT !!!)
Galleon
: Ahahahaha !!! Resistance is futile !!! You'll never escape !!! Boys, take
them to their respective prisons !! WUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!
Some
other scientists came in. They untied the ropes that bound the marionettes to
the post, but they were still tied. Then, they took the marionettes away as the
marionettes struggle helplessly, and Galleon continued to laugh like a maniac.
Lime,
Cherry, Bloodberry : MMMMMFFFFF !!! (LET GO OF US !!!)

Meanwhile,
back to Otaru and Hanagata. They were walking down the streets, searching for
the marionettes. Otaru was extremely worried as he has heard that Galleon is
one of the most wanted criminal in the universe. The police couldn't even catch
him, due to his ability to hide himself and his whole workshop in a hidden
dimension, keeping himself safe. And since he's a mad scientist, Otaru gets
very concerned about his marionettes.
Hanagata
: Dammmiiiittt !!! We have searched here and there and no signs of him !! What
now, Otaru !?
Otaru
: We have to stay calm... huh ? What's that ?
Otaru
found himself in front of the Honky Tonk store. Of course, there's a flyer on
the window.
Hanagata
: Lemme read it. "If you lost anything, just call us and we'll get your
stuff back, GUARANTEED 100% !! Just call us, The Get Backers".
Otaru
: The Get Backers... I guess we can get their help to get Lime and the others
back... What do you say ?
Hanagata
: That sounds good !! But, where do we find them ?
Otaru
: Let's get in.
Otaru
got in with Hanagata and was greeted by Natsumi.
Natsumi
: Welcome to Honky Tonk ! What can I do for you ?
Otaru
: Err... We're looking for the Get Backers. Do you know where they are ?
Natsumi
: They're... over there.*sweatdrop*
Otaru
looked at one of the tables and found Ban and Ginji, fighting over a pizza
again. And in the end, Ban gets the pizza and ate it.
Otaru
: Err...
Ginji
: BAN-CHAN...!! *electricity*
Ban
: W... wha !?
Ginji
: YOU'RE CRUEL !!!!
Ban
: *electrocuted* STOP THAT, GINJI !!! AAAARRGGHHH !!!
Otaru
: Excuse me...
Natsumi
: *yell* BAN !! GINJI !!! THERE'S SOMEONE LOOKING FOR YOU !!!

: I see ! Business is it ? Well, first, who're you ?

: My name is Otaru Mamiya. And you are...
Ginji
: I'm... *face gets buried to table by Ban* Oof !

: Ginji Amano... Good to meet you !
Ban
: So, what do you want to talk about ?
Otaru
: Have you ever heard of Galleon ?
Ginji
: Galleon ? That name sounds familiar...
Ban
: Idiot. That's the mad scientist who recently became the world's most wanted
criminal. So what do you want to get from him ?
Otaru
then handed down the potraits of Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry to Ban and Ginji.
Otaru
: My marionettes were kidnapped by him. I'm worried about them. Can you please
rescue them ?
Ginji
: Wait a minute. Marionette ? So you mean...
Otaru
: Yes, they're not humans. But if I explain to you, that's gonna take too long.
Ban
: Hmm... Hunting the mad scientist may lead us to super huge rewards... So, how
much will you pay us ?
Otaru

Ban

Ban

: The red headed one is called Bloodberry, the purple headed one is called
Cherry, and the blue headed one is called Lime. Best of luck for you.

Thus,
now the Get Backers set off for another mission to save the marionettes.... But
one question remains on Otaru.
Otaru : (Hanagata Industries...? I thought Hanagata's wealth was ruined due to
the fire...)
