(A little run down) : Hikaru is now 16 years old, and is in the same class, same school with Recca, so in short, Mikagami is her upper classman, whom she holds a little crush (original thing created by me). The timeline takes place after the end of the Flame of Recca anime. The phrase '-sempai' is used to refer of some upperclassman.

*Shidou residence. 10 A.M*

 

 

A very handsome 17 years old boy, with long light blue hair like the sky, knocked the door of the residence. His hand was carrying a book. Soon, someone opened the door.

 

 

Opener : Morning ! What can I do for you ?

Handsome boy : ... Is this where Shidou Hikaru lived ?

Opener : Yes... Hey, who're you !?

Handsome boy : Just a friend of hers... Sorry, I haven't introduced myself. My name is Mikagami Tokiya.

Opener : Oh. Her friend. Come in !

 

 

Escorted with the man, Mikagami entered the house, where he was led to the guests room, where 2 more men were there.

 

 

Man 1 : Let me introduce myself. I am Shidou Satoru, and these are my brothers.

Man 2 (the opener) : Shidou Masaru here !

Man 3 : And I'm Shidou Kakeru !

Mikagami : ... Mikagami Tokiya.

Satoru : You said that you are Hikaru's friend. What is your purpose here ?

Masaru : Don't tell me you're going to date her !!

Mikagami : Date...?

Kakeru : If you want to date her, you have to beat us !!

Mikagami : But I'm not here to date anyone...

Masaru : ... Oh.

Mikagami : I'm just returning this book... Is she here ?

Satoru : She's not here. She's been away for 2 hours, for some school tasks.

Mikagami : Oh... that. Well, I'll just leave the book here. Now, if you'll excuse me...

Satoru : Wait.

Mikagami : What now ?

Satoru : Well, since you came here, I'd like you to join us in a small tea party.

Mikagami : ....

Satoru : Just simple tea drinking. Nothing fancy.

Mikagami : ... Okay.

 

 

*Streets. 8.30 AM.*

 

 

Hikaru was on her way home. She also carried her school backpack. On one certain street where there are no cars, she found a rich looking man lying on the ground, looking very wounded. He seemed to be in pain, so Hikaru came to him.

 

 

Hikaru : Are you all right, sir ?

Man : Damn, my feet hurts... Now I can't walk...

Hikaru : Don't worry, I'll help you !

Man : Thanks, kind girl... Well, can you get me to that black car over there ?

Hikaru : Okay !

 

 

Hikaru helped that man stand up and helped him walk to the black car... a nice sedan car, and looks really rich. When they get close...

 

 

Man : Thanks.

Hikaru : I'm glad for you too !

Man : And now, let me repay you.

 

 

The man snapped his finger and suddenly a lot of gangsters with black masks appeared from the car.

 

 

Hikaru : What's the meaning of th...- MMMFFF !!!

 

 

The gangsters immediately clamped her mouth, and grabbed her backpack away from her. They then bent her hands behind her back, forming a cross, and tied them together on her wrists, binding them together, with a strong black rope. More gangsters pulled the same ropes and also bound her feet on her ankles and knee for around 4 circles. Then, they also bound her between her small breasts, on the shoulder and waist, each forming 3 circles, and they also bound her arms as well. Lastly, the gangsters pulled many small clothes and stuffed them to Hikaru's mouth, then they pulled a thin black cloth and circled them over her mouth, effectively gagging her. Hikaru struggled and moaned but it was no use. The ropes and the gag were too tight. But, at least she kept making muffled yells.

 

 

Hikaru : MMMMFFF !!! MMMMMMFFFF !!! (Help !!! Someone help me !!!)

 

 

But, nobody heard her. The place was darn quiet before. The gangsters loaded her to the car, whereas they forced her to sit on the floor, leaning to the door. The rich looking man inspected her backpack as Hikaru stared at him angrily, while still struggling and making muffled voices. Finally, the man pulled out a book... one of Hikaru's diary.

 

 

Man : Hmm... So, here's her phone number... Listen girl... you'll make us filthy rich...

Hikaru : Mmmmpphh ! (But you're rich already !)

Man : No matter... soon... soon... Hahahaha...

 

 

The man clenched his fist in joy, as Hikaru started to get scared.

 

 

Hikaru : (What... what if they decided to sell me !? No, I don't want to !)

 

 

Finally, the car stopped near a big mansion. As the gangsters came out,  one of them carried Hikaru on his shoulder and they entered the mansion, ignoring Hikaru's muffled voices.

 

 

*Shidou residence 10.30 AM*

 

 

While Mikagami and the Shidou brothers were drinking tea, the phone rang. Being the closest to the phone, Satoru requested Mikagami to pick that up.

 

 

Mikagami : Hello ? Who's there ?

??? : Am I speaking to Hikaru's father ?

Mikagami : I'm not her father. I'm her friend. I think I'll pass you to her brother instead. *pass the phone to Satoru*

Satoru : Yes, this is Shidou Satoru. What can I do for you ?

??? : I want to make a deal.

Mikagami : (Deal...? That guy sounds suspicious...)

??? : Currently, your little sister is in our hands...

Satoru : WHAT !?

Mikagami, Masaru, Kakeru : !!!

Mikagami : (I bet Hikaru has been kidnapped...)

??? : You don't believe me...? Fine... Here you go...

Hikaru's voice : Brother...!

Satoru : Hikaru... Don't worry, I'll save you no matter what.

Hikaru : Brother, no ! They're planning to... MMMMMFFF !!

??? : Now do you believe me ?

Satoru : ... Let her go... I'll do anything.
??? : Good... all you have to do is to bring me 50000 Yen to the White Mansion. And don't you dare to call the police, or you can say good bye to your little angel ! I'll see you there...

 

 

And the phone got hung. Satoru's face became quite angry and confused.

 

 

Satoru : ... Bastards...

Kakeru : What happened, brother !?

Satoru : Someone kidnapped Hikaru... and they demanded 50000 Yen as a ransom.

Masaru : WHAT !? They'll never get away with this !!

Kakeru : But, how could we get that much money !? We're not that rich !

Mikagami : .... I have a plan.

Satoru : What is your plan, Mikagami-san ?

Mikagami : Well... I recently won a lotto, which happens to be 37500 Yen. Do you have 12500 Yen yourself ?

Satoru : Well... we do have that much.

Mikagami : It's settled. We'll use your 12500 Yen and my 37500 Yen.

Masaru : But, 37500 Yen are not cheap ! Are you sure ?

Mikagami : It's better than losing one of my friend.

Satoru : We'll never forget this kindness, Mikagami-san.

Mikagami : Enough talk. Prepare the money box and we'll head to the White Mansion ASAP... and I'm coming with you.

Satoru : ... Well he didn't forbid me to bring anyone else along. Let's go.

 

 

And so, Mikagami and the Shidou brothers prepared everything and they headed out to the White Mansion. Meanwhile, in the White Mansion, Hikaru found out that the rich man is the leader of the gangster. However, she can do nothing but watch the gangsters drinking, as she herself was bound and gagged, sitting on a bench in the corner. She also struggled, trying to break free. The leader approached her.

 

 

Leader : Haha... Your brothers sure love you, little girl... And soon, we'll be rich !! AHAHAHA !!

Hikaru : Mmmmff ! (Let me go !)

Leader : I have other plans for you...

 

 

With that, the leader carried Hikaru on his shoulder and carried her to one normal room. Then, he tied her on a chair located in the center of the room. And as Hikaru struggled to untie herself, the leader threw many old newspapers surrounding the room, close to the walls that surround it. Then, he put out one little candle and put it near the newspapers. And finally, he approached her again.

 

 

Leader : I don't care if your brother gave me the money or no. I plan to burn this mansion anyway... with YOU as a bonus !!

Hikaru : Mmmmff !! MmmmMMMFFF !!! (You cheater !! That wasn't in the agreement !!!)

Leader : Well, good bye, my cute hostage angel...! *leaves*

Hikaru : MMMMMMFFF !!! (GET BACK HERE !!!)

 

 

Too late. The leader already left. Hikaru then took a glance to the candle that slowly started to get depleted.

 

 

Hikaru : (If that candle was depleted... No... My brothers and everyone...)

 

 

Hikaru started to feel a fear running through her. But she made up her decision quick.

 

 

Hikaru : (I have to stop it quickly !)

 

 

Then, she struggled and tried to get close to the candle, hoping that she would blew it away, but no avail. She couldn't blow anything with her gagged mouth. But she didn't give up and continued to create muffled blows and struggled to free herself, although with no avail.

 

 

Meanwhile, on the main hall of the mansion. Mikagami and the Shidou brothers finally arrived. The leader greeted them.

 

 

Leader : Welcome to the White Mansion.

Satoru : Where is Hikaru !?

Leader : Give me the money first.

Satoru : Here !

Leader : Ah, good ! Now then...

Mikagami : Keep your words. Where is she ?!

Leader : She's up there. Find her yourself.

Mikagami : ... (It looks like there's nobody upstairs)

Leader : ALL RIGHT !! We're rich !! Good bye !

 

 

Taking the money box, the leader led all his gangsters outside... only to find themselves ambushed by police.

 

 

Police : Freeze !!

Leader : Police !? YOU !!

Kakeru : Hahaha !! You don't know that we never fall for any threats !

Masaru : And who said we brought them here !? They came themselves !

Leader : What...!?

Mikagami : You're just an idiot who didn't realize that you have been wanted for a long time. They just happened to find out your hideout today.

Leader : Hahahaha... HAHAHAHA !!!

Police : Restrain them !

 

 

The polices began capturing all the gangsters, while the leader just laughed.

 

 

Mikagami : (He's laughing... I think he has another trick up to his sleeve...)

 

 

Mikagami then took the initiative and left the police, the gangsters and the Shidou brothers alone to the mansion once more. Meanwhile, Hikaru was still trying to blow the candle or free herself, but no avail. However, she was also start to fear that she's late.

 

 

Hikaru : Mmmmff ! Mmmmff ! Mmmmff ! (*blows 3 times*) (Damn, I have to hurry !)

 

 

But, suddenly, a wind blew from the windows. With that, the candle fell with the fire to the newspaper. It started to burn really fast, and the fire quickly went to the kitchen. There, an explosion occurred, setting the mansion on fire.

 

 

Satoru : What...!? Fire !?

Leader : HAHAHA !! This is what I was talking about ! I decided to burn this mansion with her, no matter if you bring the money or no !! Now she'll die !! HAHAHAHAHA !!!

Kakeru : You bastard !!

Masaru : Wait. Mikagami-san was still inside !

Satoru : What were you thinking, Mikagami-san...!?

Masaru : Brother ! No... not only Mikagami-san.... but also Hikaru !!

Kakeru : Dammit !! HIKARU !!!!!

 

 

Meanwhile, inside... Mikagami was quickly surrounded with flames.

 

 

Mikagami : Flames...!? Well... it's a good thing I still brought this...

 

 

Then, Mikagami pulled two things from his pocket... A plastic bottle of water, and a weird sword handle. He poured the water on the sword handle, and the water turned into a water sword edge. That is his primary weapon, the Water Sword Ensui ! Using it as a tool to prevent fires, Mikagami wandered through the burning mansion. At first he had no idea where Hikaru was. But, he can somewhat hear a muffled scream and coughs. So, that gave him the clue.

 

 

Meanwhile, Hikaru looked really hopeless. Her muffled scream of help were also filled with coughs due to the smoke. And her struggles produced no results at all. She was still tied.

 

 

Hikaru : (Am I going to die here...? ... Brothers... I'm sorry...)

 

 

Soon afterwards, Hikaru lost her consciousness. But, shortly after, a burst of water cleaned up the fire that was within the door, and Mikagami came.

 

 

Mikagami : Hikaru... Damn, she's unconscious.

 

 

Then, he untied Hikaru and removed her gag. Carrying her on his shoulder, Mikagami made his move to exit the mansion. But, suddenly, the roof fell and barred the door.

 

 

Mikagami : Geez... do I really have a choice ? Hyoumon Ken...

 

 

Meanwhile, outside, the top floor looked as if it was completely burned. Masaru and Kakeru was extremely worried.

 

 

Masaru : Damn, the fire has consumed the top floor !!

Kakeru : HIKARU !!!

Satoru : ....!

 

 

Suddenly, another burst of water exitted through the entrance door. And from there... a figure came out. It was Mikagami, carrying Hikaru. Luckily, he managed to deplete Ensui, and nobody knew about it. He then put her to a safe ground.

 

 

Kakeru : Hikaru !! Is she okay !?

Mikagami : She's fine now... Don't worry.

Masaru : Thank God ! She's safe !!

Satoru : Mikagami-san... how could we ever thank you ?

Mikagami : Think nothing about it... Now if you'll excuse me...

 

 

Mikagami then left the brothers. Soon afterwards, Hikaru started to regain consciousness.

 

 

Hikaru : Uh...

Masaru & Kakeru : Hikaru...!

Hikaru : ... I... am alive ?

Satoru : You have awakened. Well, I'm glad for you.

Hikaru : Brothers ? You guys... saved me ?

Masaru : Well... about that...

Satoru : Well, yes we did. But just a little. The one who truly saved you was your friend... Mikagami Tokiya.

Hikaru : Mikagami-sempai... Where is he !? I must thank him !

Satoru : Go ahead. He went that way.

 

 

Leaving her brothers, Hikaru chased Mikagami. She finally caught up.

 

 

Hikaru : Mikagami-sempai...!

Mikagami : Hm ?

Hikaru : Umm... How did you know about my kidnapping ?

Mikagami : Well... I was about to return your book. But you were away. So I waited, and this stuff happened.

Hikaru : I see...

Mikagami : Anything else...?

Hikaru : Well... tell you the truth... I was scared that time... so scared...

Mikagami : But you're fine now.

Hikaru : That's why... I want to...

 

 

Hikaru then hugged Mikagami. Tears slowly slid from her eyes, but it's not sadness tears. It's the tears of happiness.

 

 

Hikaru : Thank you for saving me...! *sob*

Mikagami : It's OK. Stop crying. That doesn't suit you.

Hikaru : Mikagami-sempai...

Mikagami : Err... Can you stop calling me 'sempai' ?

Hikaru : But, you are my upperclassman, right ?

Mikagami : I feel kinda uneasy with that 'sempai' stuff. Just call me Mikagami.

Hikaru : Okay...

Mikagami : Well, I'll see you tomorrow, then. Good bye.

Hikaru : Sayonara !

 

 

As Hikaru waved her hand, and later returned to her brother, Mikagami walked along to his apartment. He still have to prepare for tomorrow's daily life.
