Samus crawled into the base, she was limping, which seemed to be the only thing that had a great impact on her since her defeat at the combined forces of Batman, X and Zero. “Back already?” Samus turned her head to see Derek.

“Sir. What happened that was….”

“Just a matter of reinforcements, right?” Samus could not respond to this. “Don’t worry. I didn’t expect you to succeed. I didn’t want you to. I’m saving you for when all the heroes join together, your meant to weaken them. That’s it. Nothing more.” Samus remained silent. “Now go and rest that leg of yours.”

“Yes sir.” She said, grumbling. Samus silently walked away. While Derek watched her go.

Meanwhile Link 1 batted away the boy who had tried to attack him. At first glance, the boy looked familiar, then he looked at him again. “Oh, well it’s me or you or whatever.” He said.

Link 2 began to recognize the one he attacked. “Oh the Hero of Time! I didn’t know it was you honest I just…”

“It’s alright.” Link 1 put away his sword. “I guess you’re here to save your Zelda.”

“Yeah.” Said Link 2.

“So are we.” Link 1 and Link 2 both aimed their bow and arrows at the sound of the voice. However the figures who emerged from the shadows were not enemies once on sight. They were two more look-a-likes of Link. They were Link the Third and Link the Fourth.

“Long time no see ancestor.” Said Link 3. Link 1 couldn’t think of what to say.

“Let’s compare our life stories. This can get a little confusing.”

And so they did….

“…And so when I brought all 8 pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom together, I went up Death Mountain. Killed Ganon with the Silver Arrow and saved Zelda.” Finished Link 4.

“That was an interesting story.” Said Link 1. “But let’s move. We wasted enough time.” Boy how many of me are there? (Author’s note. The Zelda timeline is a bit difficult to explain as Nintendo has never exactly said which game goes where though one can assume that it goes Ocarina of Time then Wind Waker then Link to the Past and such.)

Meanwhile in the shower room. The girls washed as Barbara and Starfire shook his hands.

“So you’re Starfire?” said Barbara, holding out her hand.

“Yes. And you are Batgirl? Yes?” asked Starfire, holding out her hand back, but not touching Barbara’s hand.

“Uh, yeah.” Barbara reckoned that Starfire was not entirely familiar with Earth’s ways.

“Has Robin ever mentioned me to you?” asked Starfire.

“I don’t know kid, haven’t talked to him for a while.”

Starfire felt hurt at this. “Oh, I see.”

“Hey kid. Don’t worry about it. Robin’s been distant even since he joined your little team.”

“Oh. Do you miss him?”

Barbara turned her head. “Sometimes.” Starfire started blushing at what she was about to say.

“Um, how do you, um, feel about him?”

This statement made Barbara turn her head back at this odd question. “Me?” she asked.

“Yes. Do you know –like- him?”

“Oh no.” Barbara said smiling. “I think of him as a brother. Truth is I’m interested in someone else right now.”

Meanwhile Tea and Serenity conversed with each other. “You ok Serenity?” asked Tea.

“Yeah.” Serenity responded. “Though it is a little frustrating to have been kidnapped by these creeps AGAIN.”

“Hey, it’s not so bad.” Said Tea, trying to comfort her friend.

“Oh really? You don’t call being stuck naked in a shower room for however long they’re going to keep us in here bad?”

“Would you rather be tied up again?” retorted Tea in anger at Serenity’s tone of voice.

“Hey! Hey!” shouted Ciel, getting in between the two.

“It’s being held captive in this place that’s making them crazy.” Said Zelda 1.

“Yeah, I mean I’m the youngest here and at least I’m not losing my cool like that.” Said Zelda 2.

“I can’t help but wonder if Link, well you know MY Link and hopefully yours too, I mean oh forget it.” Said Zelda 3.

“Let’s just hope we’re rescued.” Said Zelda 4, sadly. Zelda 3 put a comforting hand on her descendant’s shoulder.

Meanwhile Amy and Peach were busy examining the door.

“My Sonic is out there. And I’m not gonna sit here.” Said Amy. “Damn. If only I had my hammer.”

”Hey, I’m used to being kidnapped. So don’t worry. They’ll be here soon.” Said Peach.

“Well I’m not going to just wait. We’re getting out of here.” Amy started banging on the door right now. “Right NOW!” she pounded on the door and suddenly it just opened. “Uh.” Said Amy shocked. “I guess I don’t know my own strength.”

Zelda 1 started to walk out, but Barbara put her hand on her shoulder. “I’ll check it out, this could be a trick.” She said. Zelda 1 nodded and stepped back and allowed Barbara to step through the doorway. Barbara examined her surroundings. “OK, it’s good. Come out.” The other girls did as they were told, but were stopped when Zelda 2 pointed out.

“Does it bother you that we have no clothes on and yet suddenly we’re able to go free? I don’t like this one bit.” She said, with her hands at her hips. The rest of the girls looked at her as though she was making logical sense. What if this was a trap?

Barbara shook her head as though to snap herself out of a trance. “Sorry kid. But trap or no trap. Clothes or no clothes. Batman’s out there and I’m gonna help him one way or another.”

“Yeah. No way I’m gonna let them hurt Zero just because I’m being held captive.” Added Ciel. The girls nodded, but then upon realizing that they didn’t have anything to cover themselves, put they’re hands in front.

“Let’s just go.” Said Serenity, blushing a little as the others were. The girls turned left and began running while Derek watched them through another monitor.

“Oh no. The girls have escaped.” He said sarcastically. Smiling, he pulled the alarm.

Meanwhile Batman, X and Zero continued their long hike.

“Hold.” Said Batman, stretching his hand out.

“What is it?” asked X.

“I hear something.”

“What? More enemies?” asked Zero, preparing to grab his saber.

”No. Somehow I don’t think so.” Batman walked over to the nearby boulder rocks which blocked his view, he slowly crept around side it and then when he emerged himself, for the first time in a long while, Batman and Robin faced each other. The Dynamic Duo had been reunited.
