Batman threw his
Bat-a-rang at the three robot gangsters, this decapitated them, and meanwhile X
fired his buster at the Mavericks, who exploded. Zero cut several Mavericks
down to size with his saber. “Just like old times.” He said.
“That was too easy.” Said Batman.
X nodded, something wasn’t right. Mavericks usually didn’t go down this easily.
“Relax, Batman.” Said Zero. “I’ve beaten easier enemies.” Batman however wasn’t
too sure; true he probably had faced easier enemies. But he could sense that
whoever was behind this had something up his sleeve.
Meanwhile, Robin the Boy Wonder walked through the barren wasteland. “Raven?”
he asked, speaking into his communicator. A grabbled signal came through.
“Yeah.” Came the girl’s voice. “Barely.”
“What’s the cause?” asked Robin. Raven punched in a few keywords.
“Looks like a transmission blocker about 3 miles to the west of where you are.”
“Alright, I’m on my way there.” Robin shut off the communicator and ran off to
the west.
“Be careful Robin, I’m sure Starfire will hang in there. But who knows what
they will do to her?” Raven sighed, sadly showing a bit of concern in her eyes.
She loved Robin as a friend, and saw him as being more of a brother to her.
There was nothing she could do, but she was also scared for she knew there was
a chance they could come back for her. If they wanted to kidnap Starfire, what
was to stop them from kidnapping her? The thought scared her. Robin ran through
the desert, trying to get a good look at his surroundings. Anyone or anything
could pop out. Hours seemed to pass when finally he reach the wide, circular
dome.
“OK, all I have to do is blow this thing up huh?”
“Easier said than done.” Came a voice. Robin turned his head to see two boys
standing there, both were about his age. “I’m Yugi Moto. Well actually I’m
Yugi’s alter ego. Long story.” He said extending his hand. Robin took it a bit
confused at first.
“And I’m Joey.” Said the other boy, extending his hand. Robin shook it.
“You can call me Robin.” Robin replied.
“Anyway what brings you here?” asked Yugi.
“To save a girl.”
“Same.” Said Joey. “My sister and our friend have been kidnapped.” Robin sighed
happily; it looked like these two weren’t enemies. “Anyway, you were trying to
blow this thing up? Well I don’t know if you could, but we can.”
Robin cocked his eyebrow. “Really?”
“Yeah watch.” Said Joey. Joey pulled out a card, which to Robin looked a game type
card. Suddenly a flash of light emerged. A creature jumped forth from the card,
Robin jumped back in shock. As a red dragon flew out and breathed fire on the
communications tower. “There.” Said Joey, “That should take care of your
problems.”
Robin smiled as he pulled out his communicator. “Raven. Come in. You there?”
“Yes. I can hear you loud and clear.” Came the blue haired girl’s voice.
“Good.” Robin then stopped and looked at Raven. “Raven, you’re trembling.”
“No, I’m not.” She said.
”You ok?”
“Yeah. Just a little nervous.” Robin looked at her with concern. Something was
bothering her. “Anyway, forget it.” She said, brushing it aside. “Just keep
moving.” She turned off the communicator. Robin looked down at his
communicator, and then put it away. Then he turned to face Yugi and Joey, but
stopped halfway.
“I feel something.”
“What? Are you sick?” asked Yugi.
“No, I just feel something familiar… from the past maybe? I don’t know maybe
I’m just going crazy.” He shrugged this feeling aside.
Meanwhile Derek watching the meeting from the castle, he had seen and heard
every bit of it. “You don’t know how right you are.” He smiled and turned his
head. “Did you hear that Barbara? Robin’s here too.”
“MMMPPPHHH?” Barbara said aloud. How could Robin be here? She thought to
herself.
“MMMPPPHHH! MMMPPPHHH!” screamed Starfire.
“MMMPPPHH?” Barbara responded to Starfire’s muffled shouts.
“Oh, you two have never met? Well then I guess I should give you girls time to
get to know each other.”
“MMMPPPHHH?” asked Serenity.
“By that I mean, you girls I’m going to let hang out in the shower room. If
that’s not too much for your feeble mind to follow Serenity.”
This statement did not suit well with Serenity; she strained at her ropes as
she shouted. “MMMPPPPPPHHH!”
Derek chuckled at her antics. “Dana, I believe you know what to do.”
“Yes sir.” She said. “Come on ladies.” She said. In no time the girl’s were
untied from their chairs and led out of the room.
“Oh and Dana.” He said, reaching up to her and grabbing her by the arm. “Leave
the door unlocked.”
”Huh?” she said, looking confused. “Why?”
“Because we’re going to have a little fun with them.” Derek’s grin widened as
he said this. Dana looked at him like he was crazy, but she wasn’t about to
disobey her master’s orders.
“Yes sir.”
She bowed her head and walked out of the room. Derek smiled as he watched her
go, then he turned to the monitor which featured Batman, X and Zero. Batman was
looking through his binoculars while X and Zero just gazed forward.
“Hold on Ciel. I’ll be there soon.” Said Zero, clenching his fist.
