Hi Volks, I've freed the front 1/4 from the footwell and front bulkhead. I am now working may way towards the front of the car grinding off spot welds. Had a bit of a problem though my angle grinder started sparking a lot and then didn't work. After taking it all apart it turns out the carbon brushes had worn out completely. Luckily I had kept the box and there were 2 spare brushes in there so I rebuilt the angle grinder and was able to carry on!
I have freed the 1/4 panel up to the torsion bar.

So only the front part to remove round the spare wheel well. Then I can start offering the new panel up the the old ones but I will have a bit of cleaning to do and some rust proofing.
