I spent about 4 hours on prep work today. Got some rust remover/etcher that I got from Frost. Very good stuff. It was working but a little slowly as I had to keep applying it to the panel. I can imagine it would be better if you could just soak the parts in it! Also If I had ground off most of the rust in the first place it would have worked quicker but on the whole quite impressive.

Their weld thru zinc primer also seems to be pretty good.

I got all the rust treated and the last bits of the heater channel removed from the rear of the car so it is ready for that to be added at some point! Probably when I've finished putting in the front 1/4 panel.

I was a bit disappointed I coldn't get the heater channel fitted but I had to do some gardening in the evening!
