Monarch Butterfly By: Tiara Hypolite
Materials:
~ 1 piece of recycled paper  
~ Black paint
~ 1 pencil    
~ 1 paint brush
~ 1 black marker
~ 1 orange cereal box
~ glue
~ scissors
~ 1 recycled straw
More information on the Monarch Butterfly
(1)  Draw an outline of the Monarch 
      Butterfly using recycled paper and
      pencil.  Go over the sketch with a
      black marker.

(2)  Cut out the white parts of the
      cereal box and paste them along
      the edges of the drawing. Using a
      black marker, draw the pattern
      of the border characteristic of    
     the Monarch butterfly.
(3)  Cut out pieces of the orange
      cereal box and paste them within
      the border of the wings of the
      butterfly. Paint the body with  
      black paint.
(4)  Cut out the butterfly. Cut the 
      straw in thirds at an angle. 
      Paste two pieces of straw
      behind the head of the
      butterfly.
Congratulations, you now have a new MONARCH BUTTERFLY!!
