The Terminator Saga

Back in 1984 The Terminator was conceived as a small independent sci-fi movie that would hopefully be the big break for James Cameron and his wife/producer Gale Anne Hurd. What they created was one of the most profitable and famous franchises in movie history. Even though their were only 2 films (with a third on the way) the Terminator universe has expanded in other ways. The universe has expanded with video games and comics that continued the adventures of John and Sarah Connor and the resistance. The films are legendary; who doesn't know the significance of "I'll be back" or "Hasta la vista, baby." They began the action carrier of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and changed the way special effects were done (T2's T-1000)

Scripted scenes from T2 that were never filmed:

First Draft 5/10/90

  • This is the opening from the first draft of the T2 script.
  • Also from the first draft this is Sarah getting electro shock therapy.

    Second Draft 7/18/90

  • In this draft of the script Sarah, John, and The Terminator hideout at a ranch/compound belonging to Travis Gant, a crazy ex-Green Beret. Enrique Salceda is also at this camp but is not the man in charge. In the next draft they dropped the character of Gant and just made it Enrique's compound.

    Third Draft 9/10/90

  • In this draft Sarah has another nuclear war dream while at Enrique's compound.
  • Also in the final draft their was a scene with the T-1000 asking Enrique Salceda where John is after he and the Terminator leave to stop Sarah from killing Dyson.
  • Dyson's death originally was to show what is going through Dyson's mind just before he blows himself up.
