They say Luck is when a prepared mind meets an opportunity!  And if you are to embark on a transatlantic flight you may want to prepare your mind & body for the potential eventuality of water landing in the Atlantic!

A few months ago I had a conversation with Eric Lindbergh about his transatlantic flight and he told me about his survival training in Groton, CT.   Survival Systems Inc. – a state of the art facility run by professional, friendly trainers dedicated to water survival.   I will spend the next three days with two army pilots, an FAA pilot, and two police department helicopter pilots practicing underwater aircraft egress and water survival in the Atlantic.
