Cruis'n USA - Super Smash Bros (Targets and Platforms)

Players' List

MIKE AND TYLER
I left the same title of the previous update, because it's quite evident these two guys ruled the latest two days! Mike Lenehan ha improved 6 times for Board the Platforms and passed Brandon Eberly in 3rd Place. A similar thing happened to Tyler Futch, but in Break the Platforms: improving 3 times he passed Matthew Harrison and got the last podium step. We have also a new player today, Gavin Carper, who sets immediately a Nai WR in Cruis'n USA.

F-1 World Grand Prix - Jet Force Gemini - Mario Golf - Super Smash Bros (Targets and Platforms)

MIKE AND SCOTT
These two got the POD's for the past two days, confirming the trend of Super Smash Bros Bonus in this period. Mike Lenehan improved just one time for Board the Platforms, but it's a Nai WR Tie! Scott, instead, sent a lot of improvements for both Break the Targets and Board the Platforms... nice time shaves, which let him gain a place in Break the Targets.

OTHER GUYS
Other Nai WR's have been set today! Daniel Bertassi improved one time in F-1 World Grand Prix, Kelly Malo sent the very first Stroke Play score for Mario Golf and Thomas Grandjean sent two times for a game whose page wasn't updated for over an year: Jet Force Gemini! All of them got Nai WR's for their scores. Nice job!

NEW STRATS COMING IN
Tyler Futch informs us that new strategies for Break the Targets have been found, and so he's warning of a global improvement for these characters: Luigi, DK, Samus and Yoshi. We'll see what happen! In the meanwhile, he got the Nai WR for Samus Break the Targets, almost getting under 9 seconds! New times also from Mike Lenehan and Daniel Hasting. In Cruis'n World Christophe Ley set an incredible time in Australia!

STILL NO NEW WORLD RECORDS
Competition has slowed down recently, although new times keep arriving almost daily. Just 4 new times today, set by Mike Lenehan in Board the Platforms for Super Smash Bros. And, for another day, there are no new Nai WR's.

ACTIVITY FROM THREE PLAYERS
New times from Scott Rogoff, Brandon Eberly and Tyler Futch. Scott improved a lot of times in both Bonus categories, while Brandon and Tyler improved just a couple in Board the Platforms and Break the Targets respectively. No new Nai WR's for the 5th day in a row, that's bad... Anyway, Scott got the POD, especially for his improvements in Board the Platforms, which let him climb from the 10th to the 6th place in Total time chart.

SOME SCORES, FINALLY
A few new times in Super Smash Bros Bonuses after a couple days of inactivity. ONE PAGE UPDATED
Just one page updated today... it seems that gamers are taking a break from playing, since it's the third day in a row that the activity is very very low. Anyway, I played some Super Smash Bros, improved two scores and passed the 18 millions points mark in 1-Player Mode Total score. Quite behind the best players, but still a nice achievement!

Sigh... I hate these days... although I can take a break from updating! Well, actually I don't know if feeling happy or sad... =P Anyway, there's a correction about Mike Lenehan's Board the Platforms Total time, while in the Credits Page another guy has discovered the Hidden Page. --End of update--

NO NEW NAI WR'S
Very few scores today and no new World Records (on my page basis) have been set. Mike Lenehan was lucky to win a POD having submitted just an improvement in Super Smash Bros, Board the Platforms section. Other scores come from Adam Rose and are for Mario Party, PAL Version. Last thing, Andrew Kent submitted a few more infos about himself, including his Home Page link... check Players' List page.

ALVARADO VS KENT
Second times submission by Isai Alvarado since he entered the page, he tried to reconquer a few Nai WR's, some of which have been re-reconquered by Andrew Kent! Awesome battle is going on on Super Smash Bros page, and along with these two, also other players, like Daniel Hasting and Mike Lenehen, are submitting new times. On 1-Player Mode there a few new scores by me, too!

OTHER PEOPLE PAGES
First off, Daniel Hasting sent an updated version of his Break the Targets and Board the Platforms guide, then Andrew Kent made an interesting page, where he makes a Ranking by the Awards each player got, giving 1 point for each POD, 3 for POW, 5 for POM and 10 for POQ! Nicholas Harvey is leading with a great advantage, followed by Brandon Eberly and Andrew Kent.

THE NEW GREAT TETRIS
We have also two new players to welcome today! They come from Salt Lake City in the Utah and they submitted their The New Tetris scores. Scott Ellsworth set some incredible marks for Marathon Score and Time, getting close to 10,000 lines and passing 2 hours of gameplay! Awesome stuff! Not bad with the other scores neither, and his friend David Lingard has also set interesting scores! Andrew Kent, who has improved scores in a few other games too, is greatly improving his stats, getting over 1 hour and half in Marathon time, and passing the 600 lines at Sprint.

With these improvements he also passed Brandon Eberly in the Total time chart. Other new scores are Daniel Hasting's Break the Targets and Adam Fister's The New Tetris ones.

MINUS ONE
I was waiting a lot for September the 14th to come... GameCube out in Japan... everything has been ruined by the attack, and so I almost forgot of GC in the past two days... Anyway, GameCube is coming out TOMORROW! I can't wait to play it and then (at US release) to buy it! I will, of course, maintain a GameCube High Scores site, but that's gonna start in the end of the year.

NEW PLAYER AND OTHER STUFF
Michael Jongerius got today's POD. This new player from Holland sent his times for Beetle Adventure Racing and Wave Race 64 (PAL Version), setting some interesting marks. Brandon Eberly got yesterday's POD, thanks to improvements in all Super Smash Bros categories. Good stuff, as usual ;)

TERRORISM
It shouldn't be an object related to video-gaming, but when I'm working on this update, news from the United States of America are threatening the entire world. The attack New York, Washington and the entire United States of America are suffering can't let us think nothing else but the reason for which this has happened, and we can't think of the innocent people that has died today. I wanted to show my pain for the entire human race in this manner... I know it's not much, but this is my possibility to express my thoughts and to spread it through the world.

VIDEO-GAMING
Talking of the gaming section now: Scott Rogoff improved a lot of times, and was able to improve, and break, the Nai WR tie he had with Andrew Kent in DK Targets time; Scott is highly working on Board the Platforms, where he managed to enter, though at the 10th place, the Total time chart. Mike Lenehan improved just a score. Last but not least, Thomas Grandjean improved a time in Mario Party PAL and sent his first 1080 Snowboarding time that makes the chart.

EXPLOSIVE SUNDAY
Super Smash Bros competition has never been so hot! For the update of Sunday, 37 were the new scores for this game, by Andrew Kent, Tyler Futch, Scott Rogoff, Brandon Eberly and the new player Mike Lenehan. Brandon Eberly lose 2 place in the Total times chart of Break the Targets, but gained a place in 1-Player. Andrew Kent shot two new Nai WR's in Break the Targets, one of them tied (still in the same day) by Scott Rogoff! This is a clear sign that the hot competition on this game, which sees SEVEN active players battling for Break the Targets, all very close to eachother!

OTHER STUFF
Things have calmed down today, with just a new score from Matt Leto and a couple improvements on Board the Platforms by Mike Lenehan. Matt also sent scores for Mario Party 2 and Wave Race 64, getting nice results. Nicholas Harvey improved Slot Car Derbies times in both Mario Party games.

Andrew and Burak both sent their times for Wave Race 64. Andrew is new to the game and his times aren't excellent yet, but he was able to get up to 4th place in a chart.

COUNTERSTRIKE!
After Isai Alvarado's Super Smash Bros times submission, old players have fought back to try and get some Nai WR's... Matthew Harrison, Andrew Kent and Brandon Eberly were able to get 3 Nai WR's away from him! So, Isai has now "just" 21 left (yesterday I forgot to say that Tyler Futch still held a Nai WR, besides Brandon Eberly, sorry Tyler!), but the old guard will do everything in their power to leave them all! This a start of a very good rivaltry, and I hope it will be a friendly one ;)

ALMOST COMPLETE SWEEP!
Checking Super Smash Bros Bonus Nai WR's you will notice a thing... 25 out of 26 have been set by the same player: Isai Alvarado! This new guy has entered the site with these excellent times, getting an easy supremacy in both Break the Targets and Board the Platforms! His Total Times are 5 secs better than Brandon Eberly's, who keeps the remaining Nai WR. Well, it'll be hard for Brandon to get back the 1st Place now!

OTHER GREAT SCORES
The excellent entry of Isai Alvarado awarded him POD and the first news paragraph (and he deserves it, dang!), but today's update features a lot of other great scores! Jason Whalls did a Wave Race 64 run, improving 6 times, 4 of which are Nai WR's (one new, the others improved)! On The New Tetris page, two guys from Kentucky, Adam Fister and Mark Youssef, made their nice debut too, with Adam setting the new Marathon Lines Nai WR. Very active day, cool update, I like this! ;)

Super Smash Bros (Targets and Platforms) - Yoshi's Story

Archive: April/May 2001, July/August 2001 - Players' List - Super Smash Bros Walkthrough

ACTIVE DANIEL
Daniel Hastings is the only guy with new scores today. He set some improvements for the two bonus sections of Super Smash Bros, not a Nai WR, but very good times indeed. But also, Daniel has written a walkthrough for Break the Targets and Board the Platforms and he decided to publish it on my page! The link is under the walkthrough section on the Menu Bar, look at it, cause it's really helpful!

A LOT OF CORRECTIONS
Many mistakes have been fixed today! Nicholas Harvey had a cached copy of Yoshi's Story page, and so I could restore 1-4 Tower Climb's former 10th place. He also noticed an error in Players' Page about the alphabetical order of the players. Also, there were a couple errors on Break the Targets times about Tyler Futch's Kirby and Scott Rogoff's Pikachu times. All's correct now (hopefully! ;)

SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE
Greg Lavery, Dirk Olson and Matt Leto sent their times for Shadows of the Empire. Actually, Matt improved just two, while the other two are new entries. Anyway, these three guys have conquered the top places in each level, getting quite always (just two exceptions) the top three spots. Greg made the best impression getting 5 Nai WR's, very good stuff!

THE FRONT OF SMASHING
As usual, Super Smash Bros is full of new surprises! Some new Nai WR's and four players setting new scores and times: Andrew Kent, Brandon Eberly, Scott Rogoff and the former best Smasher Christopher Graves, who improved just a couple times to make his comeback. Scott has submitted his 1-Player Mode scores and improved many Break the Targets times. Brandon Eberly is strongly improving in 1-Player, where he conquered the 2nd place overall! Andrew Kent, instead, improved in all the sections, getting a Nai WR for DK Targets.

Tyler Futch also improved some Targets times, getting 3 Nai WR's. Other new scores were submitted by Matt Leto, who sent some improvements for Donkey Kong 64 and Wave Race 64 (NTSC Version).

UP TO DATE
Finally I have finished the updating work! With these last 42 new scores, the page is finally up to date! Now, Rankings page aren't updated, but I'm searching a way to update them more easily (maybe automatically... I'll have to hear Derek Kisman) and I also wanted to change a few things in the score assignments, like points for all Top 10 players in the most popular games. Stay tuned for news!

HIGHLIGHTS
Brandon Eberly has improved a dozen of scores and times for Super Smash Bros in this period, achieving his first Nai WR's in 1-Player Mode! Also Andrew Kent improved some times for the two bonuses. He also sent his Speed Golf times: not as good as Jason Whalls's, but very close! A new player from Switzerland, Thomas Grandjean, crushed the old Nai WR in Bumper Balls Maze 2 for the PAL version of Mario Party. 1
