LAST UPDATE, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
I have to say it; we knew it was coming. My semester starts on March 3rd, and Orientation week begins tomorrow and lasts all week. Thus I cannot hope to make another update at least until I am certain it won't interfere with my studies. Alex Penev has offered his services and suggested I use a PERL system he designed himself. It looks complicated and would take me a long time to learn but perhaps if I did learn it, it could help me cut updating time in half. The only problem is I don't think I can spare the time to learn the PERL basics. =(

IF THERE IS A SUCCESSOR...
Nicholas Harvey has suggested I leave the site to his maintenance once his school year is over (May/June). I'd be very pleased to see the site pass on to Nick but there is a three month gap we ought to bridge somehow. Any suggestions are welcome.

SCORES ARE GOOD
Well Dimitrij Jarowoj has submitted scores for Donkey Kong 64 and The New Tetris, settling himself firmly in each. Bastian Trachte has set a new Nai WR on Golden Forest for 1080, helping him shoot up 8 places in the Rankings. Brandon Sanford (GE player at roughly my level - but a little higher) has submitted all of his scores for Blast Corps., and we all know that means heaps of times. He's got 4 or 5 Nai WRs and a couple of ties already. Great work Brandon! Adam Rose played a little Zelda last fortnight but made more progress with Cruis'n USA, where he passed me. =)

I played a bit of Zelda and ALEX PENEV(!!!!!) has done the unthinkable and set an Untied Nai WR in Zelda V, finally beating the old 58" in Marathon Run. Alex also sent some scores for Multi Racing Championship, and Adam's and my updated Perfect Dark stats are added also. Pier-Yves Lemire and Daniel Hasting have been ripping up Mario 64 and both Zeldas respectively. Pier-Yves has passed Myles for Overall #3 in Mario 64, both areas! Good Work Pier-Yves! Daniel Hasting concentrated on OoT and has become the next person to tie the original perfectionists, even though we're all ranked 2nd now. =) Daniel and Pier-Yves are already setting their sights on Alex' 57", though I can't see myself getting it ... ever. lol. Keep it up Daniel!

WE HAVE A NEW MESSAGE BOARD!
Thanks to the appreciated efforts of Chris Rayola, The N64HS now has a new Message Board, at www.the-elite.net's ezBoard complex! I hope that this will help everyone communicate more easily. =)

UNIVERSITY IMMINENT - UPDATES TO CONTINUE?
Well, I've been accepted into Monash University, and will commence year one of my Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree on March 3rd. This is a big chance for me, because Monash is one of Australia's "Group of Eight" tertiary institutions, which I suppose is about as close as we come to the Ivy League system. It's really on a much smaller scale. Anyway, I certainly don't plan to spend as much time as I do now updating during semester (no wise cracks please; when I actually do the work it takes me hours). If anyone wants to volunteer I'd be very grateful. I doubt the whole site could be carried on at the Message Boards, but it might open the door for a community effort. =\ We'll see what happens I guess.....

OTHER ISSUES
Hey, there's been heaps of activity in many places this past fortnight. Patrick Zalesky and Pier-Yves Lemire have been RPGing like there is no tomorrow, and Daniel Hasting has discovered a natty little trick for a couple of the mini-games in Majora's Mask too. =) We have a new player in Lylatwars, Dimitrij Jarowoj, from Germany. He's taken two Nai WRs already, and has entered the Rankings at fourth position! Michael McKenzie has also been active, submitting scores and times for Mario Party, Donkey Kong 64, Snap, and Super Smash Bros.! I'm happy to see that the action continues even with the uncertain future of this site. Thanks everyone for your time.

UPDATES
There were a few notable performances recently, with two new players submitting a score each for 1080 and Blast Corps respectively. Pier-Yves Lemire, Michael McKenzie, Nicholas Harvey, Juan Sebastin Arvalo and others have been doing good work in their pet games: Pier-Yves in CUSA, Michael in Snap, Nicholas in Lylatwars, and Juan in F-1. Juan cut off enough time to get the fastest total once again!

IMPORTANT UPDATE - THE NAI WR CHART
Yesterday morning I finally sat down and spent well over an hour updating the Nai WR Chart. It's a big job, and gets bigger every time. This time I added charts for Extreme G 2, Wetrix, Super Mario EC and of course Zelda VI. =)

OTHER ISSUES
Daniel Hasting has updated the Overall Rankings, so check that out. Also he told me that he couldn't reach the TNT Rankings, which I discovered was my fault for not making it a html file, but rather a htm one. That should be fine now. I managed to make a few improvements in CUSA last fortnight, but I doubt I'll continue with it as Zelda is really more important to me. =) I've yet to find out which courses I can apply for at Uni this year, so if all goes well (academically speaking) I may not be able to update the site anymore after March. We shall see...

MANY APOLOGIES
Well I've had heaps of problems over here trying to get everything up to date, working almost every day has had something to do with it. I guess I have been a bit lazy too, playing way too much Golden Sun. =) I think my devotion lately has been rather shameful. Even now there's still heaps of stuff for me to do, so let's hope I can do it soon.

A NEW PLAYER
Firstly, we have Paul Plumridge, from the U.K., better known as PDPlum from The Elite's Message Boards. He sent all of his times for 1080 Snowboarding (he says he hates Trick Attack) including a new Nai WR for the very first level! Everyone can tell that this is the tightest packed level of them all, with just 0"40 seconds separating 1st and 10th (which, btw, is a tie). Well done Paul!

PIER-YVES SWITCHES GAMES
We knew he'd had enough of Donkey Kong 64, he was also getting bored with Zelda; now he's moved back to his debut game, Cruis'n USA! I was a little skeptical of his new WRs so regrettably I withheld my update of the CUSA page, but after seeing what I myself could do (and knowing how little experience I have had) I've decided to update his new Nai WRs soon. They include a fabulous near-18 minute SF to DC time.

OTHER ISSUES
From now on when there's stuff to talk about that's concerned with the site as a whole, its expansion, or anything else that's not score or awards related, I'll put it under this heading at the base of the update. Daniel Hasting has compiled a Rankings page which adds up all the Top 5 places gained by players in all the normal Rankings. In all honesty I'm really not the best player on this site, although I've more Top 5 spots in the Rankings. Maybe we can incorporate games without Rankings aswell sometime. Anyway, you can reach his page from the Menu Bar under "N64HS Overall".

PIER-YVES ON THE RAMPAGE AGAIN
This week he has continued with Zelda VI widening the gap between him and I to over 4,000 points. That's not all either! He's also been continuing with both area of Mario 64, now at 7th place in the Expert Challenges section. He's also set his sights on the #1 spot in Cruis'n USA too. Chris Rayola as we know no longer plays the game so maybe we could have a new champ. Good luck Pier-Yves!

GAVIN CARPER BRANCHES OUT
Actually, those are roughly his own words too. =) He has played a few different games this week: Extreme G 2, Cruis'n World and WaveRace 64 (NTSC). He's got probably more than half of the 30 Nai WRs since last update (mostly from XG2). Keep it up Gavin!

OTHER SCORES...
Michael Plzl and Simon Archambault have been sending me Majora's Mask scores, and I have my own to report, aswell as those of my sister and neighbour. Include Pier-Yves in that and suddenly almost all the action is in just the one game! Simon and Michael have grabbed the top 2 spots now, leaving Alex 3rd. Pier-Yves passed Pat Z and Steve Foy and I'm still 7th, followed closely by Ngamer. Not all the charts are included in the Rankings yet so things will still change... Hopefully I can get the Awards done soon!!! =( Oh yeah, one more thing too: I went back to ZOoT and tried to get a good best time for escaping from Ganon's Castle. I ended up with I think 1:16 left on the clock. Anyone want to challenge that?

PIER-YVES TEARS UP MAJORA'S MASK
Mr. Lemire has been hard at work getting Nai WRs on his way to the top. I think he now has around 6? At least that many anyway, so he probably now has the lion's share. I got back into playing Zelda VI too, and Nathan Stinson sent me his scores aswell. On top of that I added all of Steve Foy's stuff and updated Andy Day's scores! That all went into the Rankings (for which the system has also been updated) so there really is heaps to check out! I haven't even got all of Pier-Yves' scores/times there up to date yet because it was just too much! I am trying to automate the system though, using the MS Excel spreadsheet Michael Plzl so kindly gave me, so hopefully it won't take so long in the future.

NOT JUST ZELDA THIS TIME!
More people helped me out at The Elite with the players of the old Zelda VI site, which partly lead to the monster update there, but there have been other games played aswell! Nicholas Harvey has done more StarFox work. He made several improvements, most importantly Solar, being only the second player to get above 150 points. This meant he broke the tie with me and Ihnatenko and we both lost 2 points. Well that's the way it goes I guess. =) Gavin Carper sent scores for 3 different games, mostly Nai WRs and a couple of ties (one in Wipeout 64 and one in Extreme G 2).  Also, Pier-Yves began playing Super Mario 64 this week and has become firmly established in both areas of the game. Well done everyone! Maybe next week I can update all the Awards?

QUIET COUPLE OF DAYS
Pier-Yves Lemire has been the only active player these last 3 days and he's really on his way to becoming the next Zelda V perfectionist! He's already shot up to 13th place between Adam Rose and Jason Whalls! Also, he's started out on the Zelda VI front, and is looking to pass me soon. =) Keep it up Pier-Yves!

EDIT TO THE ZELDA VI PAGES
I started up a topic on the PD General Chat board to see if anyone could help me out with the locations of those Zelda VI players I was missing that info. for. Tyler Probert and a few others have told me about Mike Dolejsi, Olof Jnsson and even Mr. PerfectDie. Anyway, I've corrected Olof's surname, and added the locations of him and Mike. That's all for now, but I will finish the Rankings system in the next weeks!

A QUICK UPDATE
I have a day's rest before my next exam so I did a quick update. The two exams I had so far were two of the three hardest ones. The toughest one was today's: the Specialist Mathematics Exam #2 (Analysis). I'm told it has been specifically designed not to be finished. I dunno if that's the truth but I certainly didn't finish it. Anyhow, I should be back to updating next week sometime. But don't stop sending in scores, everyone!

PIER-YVES LEMIRE RETURNS
Mario Kart 64 and Cruis'n USA player Pier-Yves Lemire is back in action, this time setting his sights on Mario Party NTSC and Zelda V (OoT). So far he's sent me just his first round of scores and he's already in the Top half of both Rankings! In fact, he's just started out in 20th position in Zelda V with over 15,000 points! Not a long way to the top from there, eh! Well, good luck Pier-Yves!

MR. HARVEY CONTINUES HIS STARFOX QUEST
Nicholas Harvey has earned countless PODs just from playing this game, and he's still at it! He got another 2 points in the Rankings this week, leaving him just 12 points away from Patrick Wessels and the #5 spot. Keep up the good work Nick! In other news, I have partially set up the Zelda VI (MM) Rankings Page, but the point scheme is a little inflated (that is to say, I'll reduce the amount of points for everything next time). Anyhow, we'll see how it turns out once I've finished exams.

LOTS OF STUFF UPDATED
Nicholas Harvey, Michael McKenzie and Alex Penev have been submitting great scores to me recently, just to name a couple. Alex has made a debut in Mario Party 2, which he has promptly gained the lead on, taking I think 6 of my Nai WRs, leaving me with just two left, and a tie. He also submitted another Nai WR for Super Mario 64 EC, finally telling me that he got 76** Coinless Stars. Michael continues his Snap career with a 3rd place score for Rainbow Cloud, just managing to beat the 500,000 barrier there. Nicholas has completed Banjo-Kazooie now, having completed all the levels to achieve a total time. So well done there guys!

ZELDA VI: MAJORA'S MASK RANKINGS
Well I've been thinking about making the Rankings for Majora's Mask and here's the deal so far. Swamp Archery is like Horseback Archery from ZOoT and is scored in the same way, so in the Rankings your actual score will count. For Witch Archery and Island Jumping, it's sorta uncontrolled so I'll say 50 points per unit achieved. So I got 46 for Witch Archery, so I get 2,300 points for that. Alex and Pat get 2,500, and so on. Goron Races and Gorman Track will be difficult as Alex and I are convinced that there's a PAL/NTSC difference that's immeasurable (like in SMK).

Deku Scrub Games are pretty good because for every second lower than 1'15"00 you might get 50 points. I wasn't sure about them because Alex' times seemed to be pretty slow compared to the others. But yet I'm able to get times of under 40"00 so either I'm playing on a different version (and I don't mean PAL/NTSC, but maybe a newer release of the game, like in ZOoT) or something else is up. I'm wondering whether or not to let the Totals count for anything though. Apart from all that, I guess Town Archery could be 1,250 points for 50, 980 for 49, 960 for 48, and 20 points less for every unit less. The rest I'm not sure about yet.

GOODBYE TO AN EXPERT GAMER
Everyone involved in The Elite probably knows that Christopher Rayola is selling his Nintendo 64 soon. I want to buy his Zelda VI Guide. =) Anyway, it's been awesome having him as a part of this site and The Elite for the past 3 years. Chris has had zillions of successes in his N64 career, including being one of the six gamers to complete Zelda V, becoming #1 in Cruis'n USA virtually overnight, one of the Top 20 in PD and GE for as long as I can remember (until recently, that is), and heaps more brilliant accomplishments so it's been a pleasure to write a eulogy for him. =) I dread to think that eventually there'll be no-one sending scores to me anymore, but still, we aren't gone yet! Anyway, goodluck in the future Chris! Send me an e-mail once in awhile. ;-)

Many Pages, Including Zelda VI Which I Made A Page For

Menu Bar (Both) - A couple of Rankings

CONTINUATION
Gavin Carper is trying out some different games now, as he branches into Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. Daniel Hasting is maintaining his all-round status, submitting new scores for SSB64 and Extreme G. Nicholas Harvey sticks to MP2, Lylatwars and Zelda V. Michael McKenzie has begun his Pokmon Snap career. I buy Zelda VI and post 4 scores all in the top 5. =)

ZELDA VI: MAJORA'S MASK
I noticed that the Zelda MM page that was part of the PD Elite page has gone under and so I've transferred all the scores to this site and listed them under those who had their actual names listed (i.e., not a pseudonym). I'm still missing a couple of locations, but hopefully that'll be cleared up soon. I haven't made a Rankings page (or even a system) for MM yet, as I want it to be similar to Iacopo's OoT one. I'm going to wait until I can finish the game and then see what I can do about it! At the moment I think Derek Kisman is in front with 7 Nai WRs and 1 tie. Other holders there of untied Nai WRs are Alex Penev, Simon Archambault, Jon Barber, Patrick Zalesky, and Chris Rayola.

SCARCE UPDATES
I am preparing for exams at this time as some of you are aware. I am trying to update but really all I can do often is input the scores. Anyhow, I received information just yesterday that the course I was trying to get into has been partially adapted in another campus of the same University (John Monash), and so it will now be significantly easier for me to obtain a position. This means I will be more relaxed if anything, and for the next month there will be at least 2 updates. I finish on November 13th with my last exam (Chemistry) but my last day of classes is this Tuesday.
