FINAL UPDATE OF 2004 BRINGS BACK TWO OLD PLAYERS
Let's welcome back two very great players before the big awards show tomorrow, where I'll announce the Player of the Month, Player of the Quarter, and the most highly anticipated award of all, Player of the Year.
First up is Luiz Roberto, Jr., who is keeping his total Board the Platforms time out of Kyle Sinclair's reach to win the final POD of 2004. The other returning player is Wouter Jansen, who has eleven new San Francisco Rush times, all Nai WRs!

BANJONATED AGAIN
Michael Plzl, who may or may not be President of the United States one day, has two more Banjo-Kazooie times. I think he is working on a new run through the game. As with yesterday, both of them beat Andrew Kent's and one beats mine.

CHRIS G. TRIES TO KEEP NAI WRS OUT OF JULIAN'S REACH
Christopher Graves rounds out the year 2004 with a few new Extreme G 2 times for Anville and Tox City. All times for reversed tracks, Chris says he's using Freeker for now, but will use a superbike if Julian forces him to.

POKMON SNAP
Alex Penev seems to be winning out in the feud for the WRs in Pokmon Snap. Both he and Matt Flees have new scores, but Alex's were always better today. But Matt still has a slight edge in the Single Pokmon mode.

TWO WRS FOR JULIAN
Julian Revermann easily took the POD with his Anville times for Extreme G 2, of which two were Nai WRs pulled straight out of Christopher Graves's hands.

ANDREW KENT "BANJONATED"
Michael Plzl, from the same town as Arnold Schwarzenegger, has two new Banjo-Kazooie times for today. "The Banjonator", as he's called, beat Andrew Kent with both of them, and one of them beats mine as well.

ALEX & ISAI SNAP UP SOME NEW WRS
Alex Penev took Matt Flees's Nai WR Tie for Pidgey in Pokmon Snap while Isai Alvarado puts himself farther ahead with Captain Falcon in Board the Platforms.

PARTYING FOR KYLE & JUSTIN, AND A DUNGEON RUN FOR LITTLE CHRIS
There's been activity outside of Nintendo 64 today too. Kyle Sinclair and Justin Kocaj have new Mario Party 6 records while Christian Revermann ties the former WR of Andrew Kent in Super Mario Bros. DX.

CHRIS IMPROVES ESCHATON
Christopher Graves shaved huge chunks of his times for the Eschaton levels in Extreme G 2 to make sure Julian Revermann won't be taking the WRs there any time soon.

TOBY'S PARTY
Tobias Braner sent all the rest of his Mario Party 3 PAL records, including the PAL WR for Stardust Battle, which is slightly better than mine if you allow for the speed difference.

DIOGO ON TARGET
Diogo Azevedo, the man with the mohawk, made a couple of nice shaves in Break the Targets, going up ten spots with one of his times.

RETURN OF THE MARATHON RUN CHART
After receiving an e-mail from Daniel Hasting stating that the Carpenter's Tent trick had always been allowed in the Marathon race, and that it is in all versions of the game, I have decided to bring back the chart and rewrite the rules. After all, some major glitches are allowed on N64HS pages already including a glitch for Super Mario Bros. DX that Andrew Kent used today to get over 300,000 points.

BATTLE OF THE CALIFORNIANS
Matt Flees, from Corona, and Isai Alvarado, from San Jose, are battling it out for today's POD. Matt improved a few Pokmon Snap scores and tied a WR while Isai got his new DK WR even lower, ahead of the Japanese, he says.

HOW ISAI GOT HIS WR BACK
Isai Alvarado didn't much care for being behind relatively new player Kyle Sinclair on a Board the Platforms chart, so he did something about it. With his new time, he's the one leading by 0"01, not Kyle.

P-SNAP WR CORRECTED
We've had another errant Nai WR fixed on the Pokmon Snap page. Magneton had to be docked 400 points, but nobody lost their Nai WR Tie. Alex, one of the Magneton WR Tie holders, took two more WRs from Matt Flees today.

WR TIED IN JFG
Andy Knack, a friend of Eric Tapani's, tied Eric's Water Ruin Nai WR today in Jet Force Gemini.

JULIAN RUNS HIS "HATE TRACK"
Julian Revermann has made Christopher Graves pleased and has attempted a track where he's not competing fiercely with Chris. He played his least favorite track (or, as he calls it, his "hate track"), Eschaton, which is the last track in the game. Luckily for Chris but unluckily for Julian, no WRs were taken.

MAJOR CHANGE TO THE OCARINA OF TIME PAGE
I had to make a decision yesterday regarding the Marathon Run table on the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time page. I've found out that several players have been abusing a game glitch to get a faster time which involves entering the Carpenter's Tent while on Epona's back, which is not intended by the game (but is possible if you do it just right). Rather than just allow the trick to be used, I'm sticking to the page rules and not allowing it. I can't let people who have gotten times with the glitch stay on the charts-- to be fair to everyone, I have taken down that chart and I want Andrew Kent to create a new Rankings for the game as soon as he gets the chance.

MATT FLEES HAS SOMEONE TO COMPETE WITH IN P-SNAP
We haven't heard from Australian wonder gamer Alex Penev in quite some time. I bet it's a surprise to everybody that he has come back over the holidays with more than half of the Nai WRs in Pokmon Snap. Alex, 21, has all the WRs in the levels and half of the Single Pokmon Nai WRs as well as the second highest Total Report score. For all of this he gets a Christmas present from me: a POD.

CHRISTOPHER GRAVES GETS ANOTHER POW FOR HIS DETERMINATION
Christopher Graves, who is Julian Revermann's arch-nemesis on the Extreme G 2 Times charts, took back the four Tethra Nai WRs that Julian got from him earlier. It's not easy, Chris says, for strange things happen in the game that mess him up, causing the record attempts to involve as much luck as skill at times!

KYLE THE SOLE DK WR HOLDER
It's not often that Kyle Sinclair is holding a Nai WR all to himself in a game other than the Mario Party series. In the past it's been Excitebike 64 or Wave Race 64. But now, with a 0"01 improvement to his DK time, Kyle put himself ahead of Board the Platforms champion in Super Smash Bros. What will Isai do now?

EARLY UPDATE, AND EARLY MERRY CHRISTMAS
I usually don't update N64HS before noon, but I decided to do so today, because I already had over 20 e-mails piled up. Just to let you know there will be no update tomorrow, as Christmas is and always has been one of the busiest days of the year with me and family. So a Merry Christmas goes out to each and every one of you that's reading today's update! Now on with scores...

KYLE MAKES BOARD THE PLATFORMS NAI WR!!!!
Kyle Sinclair has made some impressive Board the Platforms times in the past, but today's is truly good, as this is his first Nai WR time! Kyle also shaved decent time off his Fox time and is getting his total down quite low... only 20 seconds from Isai Alvarado's WR! It's not over yet... Isai tied Kyle's new WR!

XG2 COMPETITION GETTING FIERCE
Six Nai WRs have changed hands in Extreme G 2 today. Christopher Graves took two Nai WRs back from Julian Revermann in Aquanor, but Julian got back twice that many from Chris in Tethra.

GOTTA SNAP 'EM ALL
It's a three-way competition in Pokmon Snap today, and the competitors are Matt Flees, Vitor Miranda... and Kyle Sinclair. Matt took a WR from Rene Elssser, Vitro tied a WR... but Kyle Sinclair was the big winner, with 15 new tied Nai WRs. Even more reason to give this kid the Christmas Eve POD.

MAY THE JET FORCE BE WITH YOU?
Andy Knack has taken the Walkway WR again in Jet Force Gemini. Friend Eric Tapani has several new times in that game, including a new WR, while in Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, Myles Bukrim took both the total and lap WRs on another track.

ANDREW 3RD IN SMBDX TOTAL... AND A WR HOLDER (AT LEAST FOR A SHORT TIME)
For the first time since last summer, Andrew Kent took a WR from me in Super Mario Bros. DX. But I just had to pull a "Daniel Hasting" on him and get the WR back a scant few hours later. Andrew also improved a second score that put his total in third place!

MIKE'S 4TH ZELDA WR
Michael Fried, our new player from yesterday, tied a fourth WR in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, proving that Super Mario Bros. isn't the only game where he can set a speed record.

ALL NAI WRS FOR CHRISTPHER GRAVES TODAY
The feud between Julian Revermann and Christopher Graves over the Extreme G 2 WRs is only heating up. Today Chris gets even with Julian by taking all the Nai WRs in the Tethra world. Julian had a few new times for that world that he claimed to be WRs but he didn't know that Chris had even better times. It doesn't stop there-- Julian has a couple of new Nai WRs in Aquanor.

NEW PLAYER TOOK HIS TIME WITH ZELDA
Michael Fried, who is best known for making the video of the fastest possible completion of Super Mario Bros. (unless that's a different Michael Fried) has new records for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I game I'm sure he hasn't tried to speed through. You can't if you want all 100 Gold Skulltullas and 20 Heart Containers!

SNAP-OFF
It looks like another feud has erupted, this time in Pokmon Snap, and this one goes three ways. Matt Flees, who still holds all the Single Pokmon Nai WRs, has to fend off two competitors, Kyle Sinclair and Diogo Azevedo.

Christopher Graves got his Tubeway Nai WR back in Extreme G, but thanks to Julian Revermann, he still has more work to do. Julian got three WRs from Chris in Tethra to get the POD, which should keep Chris busy for a while.

TIM GETS JFG WR BACK
Tim Dubovsky made his N64HS debut with the Walkway WR for Jet Force Gemini. Then Andy Knack took it. And now Tim has it back.

MICHELLE CONQUERS MAJORA'S MASK
Michelle Kent becomes the first female player to have 20 Completed Heart Containers and a 0-Game Over completion for The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Her brother says that this will give her a big boost when the Rankings are updated again.

KYLE "SNAPS" HIMSELF ONTO A NEW PAGE
Kyle Sinclair has made his Pokmon Snap debut today, and he already has a Nai WR Tie! Matt Flees, as always, improved his Nai WRs.

KID TIES SMBDX WR; NEW RULE IN MARIO PARTY 6
The youngest active player at N64HS, Christian Revermann, who turns 11 in February, has tied one of my Nai WRs in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. It's the same one his older brother Julian tied. POD AND POW ARE A TOUGH CALL THIS WEEK
Deciding to give the POD to Diogo Azevedo and the POW to Andrew Kent were tough because they both had very good competition. Diogo got the POD with his new Super Smash Bros. Board the Platform times, which gain him three places in the total time chart. But Isai Alvarado could have also gotten it, as he took back a Nai WR in Board the Platforms. Likewise, Andrew Kent got the POW for his 2 million score in Super Smash Bros. 1-player, barely beating out Isai and his under-4'30" total time in Board the Platforms. But Isai shouldn't lose heart-- he still has a few Nai WRs to take back in Board the Platforms and he can get some PODs or maybe next week's POW if he plays hard enough.

GERMANS PARTYING FOR SPEED
The two German players Julian and Christian Revermann are lowering their best times. In Mario Party 3 Julian improved all his Dizzy Dinghies times, but didn't make any Nai WRs; in Mario Party 4 he tied the Nai WR in Mario Speedwagons, while his younger brother Christian made the Nai WR in Mario Medley! Not bad at all for a 5th grader!

THE TORTOISE AND THE PLUMBER
I handed Koopa the Quick a highly humiliating defeat in Super Mario 64 today. Make that two highly humiliating defeats, but only one earned me the Power Star. Everybody knows the fastest way to win is by lauching Wing Mario out of a cannon, but that won't earn you the star. Getting a fast time without the Wing Cap or cannons takes more strategy, and Koopa will be a lot more impressed-- impressed enough to award you his most prized possession, the second Power Star of Super Mario 64. I stood still long enough to put Mario to sleep after finishing my new "Capless, Cannonless" run in 26.9 seconds without warping. I bet Koopa was stunned to see me sleeping at the finish line by the time he got there :-)

TWO TOUGH HOMBRES
Two players with Spanish-sounding names (though neither one is from a Spanish-speaking country) were hard at work at Board the Platforms today. One of them, American Isai Alvardo, shaved some small amounts off his WR times and got another second off his total. The other, Brazilian Diogo Azevedo, shaved huge amounts off of two of his times and cut three seconds off his total and passed Kyle Sinclair! So he gets the POD.

CHRISTOPHER GRAVES ROCKS THE HOUSE WITH HIS MARIO PARTY 4 DEBUT
Christopher Graves has something to celebrate today. Today is his first day on the Gamecube Mario Party 4 charts but he already has two Nai WRs! I'm so afraid I can't give this guy POD for all that work, because I was very impressed!

JULIAN & CHRIS WORK ON ZELDA, PARTY, MARIO, AND EXTREME
The international party hasn't died down, with Julian Revermann having new records for Super Mario Bros. DX and Extreme G 2. He and his brother also have new records in Ocarina of Time and Mario Party 4.

CHRISTOPHER GRAVES'S FIRST PARTY
Christopher Graves has decided to "jump on the bandwagon" and try some Mario Party. And I must say his first records aren't bad it all because one of them beats mine. For being adventurous enough to try something so new and different, he gets today's POD.

DAVE PHANEUF IS BACK AT THE PARTY
His family and friends were here just the other day, and now the man himself has returned with new records for all but one of the Mario Party games. He made nice improvements in Drivers Ed in Mario Party 2 and improved a Nai WR in Mario Party 4 as well as his Decathalon records in Mario Party 5.

KYLE'S PARTYING TOO
Everyone's partying today. Kyle Sinclair worked a little in Mario Party 4 and Mario Party 5 (where he introduced us to a new player), but his achievement of the day was in Super Smash Bros. where he shaved more time off his Luigi and Yoshi times to gain positions.

KYLE FILLS THE MARIO PARTY CHARTS WITH HIS FRIENDS
After the Mario Party charts were expanded to top 20, Dave Phaneuf sent the records for all his family and friends. Now Kyle Sinclair is doing the same thing. Most of the new records are for Mecha Fly Guy. Kyle himself also improved a Board the Platforms time in Super Smash Bros.

The Germans are continuing to collect Gold Skulltullas and Heart Containers. Today Julian Revermann, who also has a new Super Mario Bros. 4'30" BROKEN!!!!
Isai Alvarado easily takes today's POD by becoming the first player ever to get under 4'30" in Total Time in Board the Platforms. He had to make a nice improvement for Link to do this. Kyle Sinclair was impressive in Board the Platforms today too, with an awesome new Luigi time and a new Total Time under 5 minutes!

POM A NO-BRAINER THIS TIME
Christopher Graves made my POM decision really, really easy this month. To start off, he became the first player ever in Super Smash Bros. to reach 20 million total points. He gave Daniel Hasting a run for his money in Extreme G. And then, he went to Tetrisphere to shatter (and I do mean SHATTER) the Hide + Seek WR, dedicating four entire days to the task.

Andy Knack showed some real signs of improvement in Jet Force Gemini today, where he improved many of his times nicely and even made a Nai WR that earned him today's POD.

Isai Alvardo is less than one second away from making Board the Platforms history and becoming the first ever player to get a total time under four and a half minutes. He improved two of his Nai WRs today. Also, Christopher Graves is trying to get his total under five minutes. He passed Kyle Sinclair and Adam Rose in total time with a single improvment.

NEW CANADIAN PLAYERS GALORE, THANKS TO THE CHART EXPANSION
Dave Phaneuf doesn't let an opportunity like this pass him by. Today he sent in a ton of new Mario Party scores from his family and friends, one of which even tied third place! Andrew Kent promised us he'd eventually make No Damage Clear with Jigglypuff in Super Smash Bros. Today he makes good on his promise and not only becomes the second player to reach 2 million in 1-Player Mode, but also the proud owner of the highest Super Smash Bros. single character score, and the second player to make 20 million total points. It's now Christopher Graves's turn to make two million!

DID I JUST MENTION CHRISTOPHER GRAVES?
This new score probably took longer to reach than any score at N64HS. It's Christopher Graves's new Nai WR for Hide + Seek in Tetrisphere, and it took him four days of gaming to reach (and leaving his N64 on overnight). For being so dedicated, Chris easily takes last week's POW.

MP5 DECATHALON RECORD BROKEN

The top story today: Myles Bukrim takes several Star Wars Episode 1 Racer Nai WRs from Wouter Jansen. He has new times for the majority of the tracks as well as new scores in Mario Golf and Super Mario 64 (where I also improved a couple of times)

NEW SNOWBOARDER MAKES HIS DEBUT WITH A TIED WR
The 1080 Snowboarding page hadn't seen an update in a while. Until today. Dutch player Robbie Klijn is already starting off on the right foot (no pun intended) with times for all the courses, including a tied Nai WR with Phil Hughes!

MORE SUPER-SIZED TABLES
Andrew Kent should become an archaeologist. He's very good at digging up old scores and times that have been "buried" under the top 10 charts for years. Today we have TWO pages with top 20 charts. They are the NTSC and PAL charts for the first Mario Party. In the latter, Thomas Grandjean also has a new Nai WR!

KYLE SINCLAIR > ADAM ROSE, CHRISTOPHER GRAVES
Kyle Sinclair has an impressive new Super Smash Bros. Board the Platform time. He shaved off 2 1/2 seconds off a single time and with this one time he gained two places in the Total time charts, passing Adam Rose and Christopher Graves.

NOT-SO-SLOPPY JOE
I can't call Joe Bauman's latest Mario Party 5 performances "sloppy", as he has some great new improvements today. Indeed if Mario Party 5 was a N64 game he could have gotten today's POD. The crowning achievement is his new Decathalon total, which is second place!

The decision to give 22-year-old Christopher Graves last week's POW was a no-brainer. After all, he earned his first No Damage Clear in Super Smash Bros. and became the first player ever to reach 20 million total points in 1-Player Mode. The POD today goes to another Chris-- 10-year-old Christian Revermann, who is the youngest player to ever receive an award from me. (The old record was held by Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira, who even won a POQ at age 13). Christian's POD today was well-deserved-- his Mario Party 2 times for today are great, beating Andrew Kent on one chart and Alex Penev on another. Chris also makes his debut in Super Mario Bros. Curtis Bright ties two Nai WRs in Super Mario 64 today. He also pointed out a new glitch which has been discovered that can be used to cheat in the coin-collecting challenges. It involves copying the green "Money Bag" enemies in Course 10, Snowman's Land, to collect up to 255 coins on this course (and you thought the discovery of how to get 127 coins on this course was groundbreaking) At any rate, we're not having any votes like Curt suggested-- as the N64HS owner this is ultimately my decision to make, and I declare the use of this glitch as prohibited!

20 MILLION REACHED!
Christohper Graves has cause for celebration today. He is the first player ever in the history of N64HS to get his 1-Player Total up to 20 million points in Super Smash Bros. This guaranteed him today's POD. To get this score he had to get his first-ever No Damage Clear, with Fox, giving him nearly 2,000,000 points and the second highest score for a single character, beating Chicago player Paul Kang's Pikachu score and exceeded only by fellow Chicagoan Sean Kaczmarek's Samus score. Chris says that getting No Damage Clear with other charcters will be even more difficult. But Chris is far from the only player with notable achievements today...

EXTREME G NAI WR FEST
In both Extreme G games, several Nai WRs have been seized. In the first game, Daniel Hasting took back all three of the WRs that were taken from him previously by Christopher Graves and Wouter Jansen, who, incidentally, is the new kid on the Extreme G 2 block, with 13 new times that are all Nai WRs!

WELCOMING A NEW PLAYER, AND WELCOMING BACK AN OLD ONE
The new player today is Minnesota's Andy Knack, with many new Jet Force Gemini times (no Nai WRs). And Sean Kaczmarek is back with a new Egypt time for Cruisin' World (though he couldn't take back the Nai WR).

ANDREW KENT KEEPS IMPROVING SMASH
Andrew Kent would have actually taken back the Fox Nai WR in 1-Player today if it weren't for Christopher Graves and his ground-breaking first No Damage Clear. Andrew is also trying to get this bonus, though Chris beat him to it. His sister Michelle also has a couple of scores.

Extreme G has been a very popular game today with three active players, two of them making Nai WRs-- Daniel Hasting, who got back the WR Wouter got from him yesterday, and Wouter himself, who took two more Nai WRs that Daniel Hasting has to get back. Christopher Graves, who won last week's POW with his Super Smash Bros. 1-Player scores, was the third player, unsuccessfully trying to get the fought-over Desert Track 3 WR.

KENT KARLSSON "PACK-ATTACKED"
Matt Flees earns today's POD with his Excitebike 64 times. All but a couple are new Nai WRs! He got Kyle Sinclair's Nai WRs too!

CHRIS ANCHORS HIMSELF IN SECOND PLACE
Christopher Graves could be winning next week's POW or even this month's POM with his Super Smash Bros. 1-Player scores. He fights through frustration from his many failed attempts and continues to dole out the new scores which have put his total in second place ahead of Luiz Roberto, Jr. The aforementioned Kyle Sinclair improved a Board the Platforms time today.

160,000 FOR KYLE, 11.2 SECONDS FOR CURTIS
There are two other scores today. Kyle Sinclair made 160,000 in 5-Minute Piece Out in Mario Party 5, and Curtis got a nice time for Rematch with Kooopa the Quick in Super Mario 64 (and alerted me of many mistakes I made on that page)

Wouter Jansen has impressed me once again. The Zwijndrecht, Holland native has 13 new times for all the tracks in Extreme G. Many are top three. The big surprise is that he made a Nai WR on one of the tracks. Let's see Daniel Hasting try to take it back!

Wouter Jansen got 6 Nai WRs in two different games. He made 5 of them in Blast Corps, and the 6th is the new Nai WR for the first track in San Fransisco Rush. CHRIS THE POW WITH FOUR PODS OUT OF SEVEN POSSIBLE
Christopher Graves, who easily wins last week's POW, has some new Super Smash Bros. scores today. One of them is only a slight improvement, but the other is 4th place.

DAN KEEPING XG WRS OUT OF CHRIS'S REACH
You have to hand it to Daniel Hasting and his determination to defend his Extreme G WRs. Today he improved four of his times, in preparation for an upcoming Christopher Graves attack, no doubt. This earns him today's POD.

THE OTHER CHRIS WORKS ON PARTY... AND SO DO KYLE & JOE
The Chris I'm talking about is Christian Revermann, who is Julian's little brother and less than half the age of the other Chris. This 10-year-old beat many of his 14-year-old brother's Mario Party 5 PAL records and those of Tobias Braner, who is also 14. Kyle, who is no longer 14, worked on Mario Party 5 NTSC, as did Joe Bauman. I have their Halloween picture, I may upload it in the near future and post a link on this page.

The only other N64 activity is a single Mario Tennis score by Kyle Sinclair, who doesn't even have the game-- he played it while waiting for his orthodontist appointment, he says.

PARTY OF THREE
The aforementioned Kyle Sinclair is one of three people that "Mario-Partied" today. He is working towards 1,000 points on Later Skater in Decathalon mode. The second is Julian Revermann who made a few improvements in the PAL version. And the third is yours truly. One of Christopher Graves's friends, Beau Leidig, makes his N64HS debut with two Nai WRs in Extreme G 2! One of his new times beats Chris's time!

MATT MAKES A WR
Today, Matt Flees is out-driving Kyle Sinclair. Matt, who has the advanatage of being five years older than Kyle, broke the 27-second mark in Drivers Ed course 5, while Kyle improved Drivers Ed 4 but failed to take Matt's WR there.

POOR ERIC TAPANI
Eric Tapani is working on the Coinless Stars challenge in Super Mario 64. This can be quite tough at times because some coins are difficult to avoid. He's only six stars away from tying the Nai WR for the poorest Super Mario 64 players! Eric also has new Holo times for Perfect Dark!

THE PASSION OF THE CHRISTOPHER
Christopher Graves, who took a long time off from Nintendo to pursue a higher education, is back once more, and today, he's got six new Nai WRs and a POD to boot. He got one of Matthew Piper's WRs in Blast Corps, and all of his new Extreme G 2 times are Nai WRs!

DRIVE-OFF
Matt Flees and Kyle Sinclair are once again duking it out over WRs in Mario Party 2. Both improved their Drivers Ed 5 times attempting to get the WR, but it was Kyle who got a slightly faster time and thus is holding the WR today. But Matt says he has a new strategy and can get under 27 seconds with it, so Kyle will have to discover it if he wants to keep his WR!

GERMANS FILL THE CHARTS
Three players from Germany have new scores today. In Star Fox 64, Winfried Merdes took advantage of the chart expansion and sent in all of this scores, while in Mario Party 4, Christian and Julian Revermann both have new scores. Julian has a nice new WR!

GOTTA SNAP 'EM ALL!
Matt Pacheco wins the POD for getting the most Nai WRs today. He tied numerous Single Pokmon WRs in Pokmon Snap and even took one from the other Matt, Matt Flees. He's also got new times for Mario Party 4, but more on that in a minute.

LET'S WELCOME BACK CARL CORDER... AND CHRISTOPHER GRAVES!!!!
These two guys have been around since Iacopo was maintaining this site. And now they're back. Carl has a new Beetle Adventure Racing time and Chris has a few new Blast Corps times. Though they failed to reclaim any Nai WRs, it is a pleasure to have them competing once more!

NICHOLAS ST-LOUIS BACK
Nicholas St-Louis is once again racing. Today he shaved FOUR seconds off his Belgium time, enough to get him past fellow Canadian Pier-Yves Lemire in total time!

EMILE'S THIRD YOSHI'S STORY WR
Emile Broekhuizen grows even happier as he ties his third WR in Yoshi's Story, Lots O' Jelly Fish. This ranks him third behind Derek Kisman and myself in number of first place scores!

PARTY ALL NIGHT 'TIL THE COWS COME HOME!
The Mario Party series has been very heavily played today! There are new records for the Mario Party series from Emile Broekhuizen, Matt Pacheco, a new player from England, Dean Pesani, and the Dave Phaneuf Crew, with a new player there as well.

JASON SHAVES A WHOLE SECOND OFF EGYPT WR
Jason Blackmer, who says his nickname is "Ass", really wants his time to be a pain in just that for Sean Kaczmarek if he should ever try to beat it to get back the WR. He cut a full second off his time, going from 42"46 to 41"46. He says it's possible to complete the Egyptian track in under 40 seconds! Good luck, "Ass"!

MATT PASSES DRIVING EXAM; EMILE TURNS TO PARTYING
Matt Flees and Emile Broekhuizen are both partying hardy today. In the NTSC version, Matt shaved precious tenths of a second off two of his Drivers Ed WRs to keep them out of Kyle Sinclair's reach. In the PAL version, Emile, who has put away his Yoshi's Story for the time being, has four new records.

ERIC TAPANI 3, KOOPA THE QUICK 0
We just can't have an update anymore without mentioning Eric Tapani. He has been active every single day this month. Today he outran Koopa the Quick three times in Super Mario 64 for three new times. I say Koopa the Quick needs to train harder, and, uh, buy himself some new running shoes.

Matt Flees is striking back. He got back the WRs for Drivers Ed courses 3 and 5 in Mario Party 2. It's now Kyle's turn to take back the WRs from Matt. Isn't that right, Kyle?

EMILE QUITE HAPPY ABOUT TODAY'S SCORES
Emile Broekhuizen is forming a bit of a rivalry with players such as Andrew Kent and Stephen Chan in Yoshi's Story. Today he improved two scores, beating Stephan Chan in one level for 4th place and coming in 4th in the other as well. He also has a nice new Super Smash Bros. score.

WHAT ELSE HAPPENED?
Eric Tapani, who won POW for being active every day this week, has a new time for Super Mario 64; Robert McCann is bettering his records in Zelda: Ocarina of Time; and Matt Flees got every Heart Container in Majora's Mask.

Kyle Sinclair has taken back two WRs in Drivers Ed today for the POD. He also improved a time that didn't beat Matt Flees. Kyle put his times and Matt's side by side and showed me that Kyle now has the higher total time! Great work Kyle!

EMILE HAS A REASON TO SMILE
Emile Broekhuizen has four new Yoshi's Story scores today, none are WRs but all of them are in the top five. He made the top three in Blargg's Boiler!

ERIC PARTIES... AND BRINGS A FRIEND
Eric Tapani is showing no signs of slowing down. Today he worked on some Zelda... but he also played some Mario Party 2 as well, where he and a friend, new player Kevin Schmitz, each have a nice record.

PARTYING KYLE
Kyle Sinclair is trying to get his Hydrostars WR time under 31 seconds. Today he comes close to his goal, even though he says he made a small mistake. I'm sure he'll try again later some time!

In Mario Golf he got a 4th place time in Speed Golf; in Perfect Dark he sent his Door Decoder time; in Pokmon Stadium he's now one point from a tied WR in Magikarp's Splash; and in Super Mario 64 he sent his first time, Footrace with Koopa the Quick.

KYLE IN ALL TOP 20s
Kyle Sinclair got his last time into the top 20 in Board the Platforms. With his Luigi and Jigglypuff improvments, his total is now under 5'08".

STAR FOX 64 CHARTS SUPER-SIZED!
Thanks to Andrew Kent's hard work, I've been able to double the size of the Star Fox 64 charts. Now, the charts are top 20 instead of top 10, allowing more players to send their scores! You've already seen what is possible with a chart expansion after we expanded the Super Smash Bros. charts... can we bring as much activity to Star Fox 64?

EMILE TIES HIS SECOND YOSHI'S STORY WR
Emile Broekhuizen is going to be the new Dutch sensation here at N64HS, following in the footsteps of old players like Steven Zwartjes and Patrick Wessels. He already has a good start with all the WRs in Pokmon Stadium, and now he's making WRs in Yoshi's Story. He got his second tied WR today.

ERIC TAPANI CRANKING OUT NEW SCORES LIKE A ROBOT
Eric Tapani stays pretty busy at his Nintendo 64 up in Minnesota. Maybe the cold weather's keeping him inside. Anyway, he has nice new scores for three games today.

'NOTHER RANKINGS UPDATE
Andrew Kent did the Pokmon Snap and Pokmon Stadium today, where we can all see just how much of a respective impact Matt Flees and Emile Broekhuizen have had on those games. He tied a Nai WR in Mario Party and updated the Rankings for it, and changed the formula for the SotE rankings.

ERIC WORKS ON PD & ZELDA
Eric Tapani is the POD winner for today, getting some pretty good Perfect Dark firing range times, and sending his first scores for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

SIMON IMPROVES ON NAI WRS
Simon Archambault wasn't satisfied with just having every Nai WR in Mario Tennis in Points Mode, so today, he improved six of his scores, all of them over 500.

NEW PLAYER, HE TURNS 21 TODAY
Today's new player is a birthday boy, with a tied Nai WR for Ocarina of Time. Joshua T. Allen, who caught the 35-pound Hylian Loach, says it is very difficult to do and that most players don't do it. I bet Josh is out there today celebrating his 21st birthday (and his Nai WR) with his first beer.

ANDREW'S COUNTERSTRIKE AGAINST BRUNO
It's Andrew's turn to make his move in his battle with Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira in Break the Targets and Board the Platforms. In Targets, where he's ahead, Andrew, who is 19, is pulling his total farther ahead; in Platforms, he's having to play catch-up, and didn't get much closer to Bruno. Additionally, Andrew improved a 1-Player score to pass Bruno as well. In Banjo-Kazooie he improved three of his level times, barely beating my time on one of them. He also updated the Zelda rankings just for Matt Flees!

JFG NAI WR
Matt Flees, who's now been added to the Zelda rankings at 68th place tied, is a talented gamer indeed. Matt, Wouter Jansen, and Kyle Sinclair all stand a chance to get the highly coveted Player of the Year at the end of this new quarter. Today, he beat the Nai WR on the first level by four whole minutes.

14 A LUCKY NUMBER?
Kyle Sinclair and Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira, both 14 years old until Kyle turns 15 on the 22nd, continue competing in platform boarding and target breaking. Bruno, the younger of the two, and who first achieved N64HS fame at only 13 (can we call that a lucky number?), has passed Daniel Hasting in Break the Targets total time; Kyle, who plans to dress up as his favorite Princess Peach for Halloween, improved two of his Board the Platforms times, including Kirby, where he is getting quite close to passing the aforementioned Andrew Kent.

MORE PARTYING IN ORDER FOR THE GERMANS

WOW! LOOK AT ALL THOSE PAGES UPDATED!
It took two hours to update only two days' worth of scores. Additionally, I also put the past quarter's updates on an Archived News page, and gave away two PODs, a POM, and a POQ, and Andrew Kent did another big Rankings update.

Today was a fairly busy day for scores, with POM winner Matt Flees continuing to defend his Drivers Ed Nai WRs against Kyle Sinclair, and Pier-Yves Lemire making nice improvements in Perfect Dark Firing Range. New player Eric Tapani also has new times for that game. Pier-Yves also worked on F-1 World Grand Prix, Kyle improved Drivers Ed while also beating Majora's Mask without dying and improving a Board the Platforms time, as usual. Andrew Kent bested two of my Banjo-Kazooie times in addition to updating today's Rankings, and Emile Broekhuizen has a new score for Yoshi's Story. In the Other Systems section, Kyle improved a Mario Party 5 WR, while I worked on Decathalon.
