****VIRUS WARNING!!!!****
Julian Revermann brought this to my attention. Victor Lima's site, 64 Elites Brasil, has been attacked by a virus. If you try to access the site now, a virus will enter your computer and erase all of the data on your hard drive! DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have taken down all links to the site at N64HS and told Victor about the problem. It can't be his fault, because Victor is a nice guy; I think the site got hacked. REPEAT: DO NOT TRY TO GO TO 64 ELITES BRASIL!!!!!!!

MY LAST N64HS UPDATE AS A TEENAGER
I'm going to be turning 50... I mean, 20, tomorrow, so I'm not going to do an update tomorrow, I don't think. I'm taking the day off :-) I'll be back Friday to move all the updates on this page to an Archived News, and, of course, give somebody the Player of the Month and Player of the Quarter awards.

SEVEN RANKINGS UPDATES
Andrew Kent updated seven Rankings pages today. These updates include Stanislav Izotov's coup in Bust-A-Move 2, Sean Kaczmarek's takeover of Cruisin' World, and Phil Hughes becoming the new Beetle Adventure Racing champion, as well as the new Blast Corps players.

MATT & KYLE FIGHT OVER DRIVERS ED WRS
Matt Flees and Kyle Sinclair are fighting fiercely over the Nai WRs in Drivers Ed for Mario Party 2 NTSC. Kyle took one back from Matt briefly, but at about the same time, Matt went and improved four of his times, probably to defend them from a Kyle attack. He managed to take a couple of new WRs in the process. Matt also improved in Pokmon Snap and tied a new WR.

JETPAC RAT
Emile Broekhuizen sent his Jetpac record for Donkey Kong 64. He becomes the fourth player to get past the very difficult 8th level.

KYLE WORKS ON SMASH A BIT, AND A NEW PLAYER
While Kyle Sinclair improved his Board the Platforms total a bit, a new player enters the 1-Player charts. Eric Tapani, an American, took 19th place for Kirby.

JULIAN IMPROVES DECATHALON
The aforementioned Julian Revermann not only found a deadly virus on one of our Affiliate pages today, but also improved his Mario Party 5 Decathalon records, taking a few new WRs and starting a "sibling rivalry" with his brother Christian.

KYLE JUST A SPLIT-SECOND FROM PASSING ANDREW KENT
Kyle Sinclair really likes Kirby's Board the Platforms stage in Super Smash Bros. He seems to improve it every day. Today he got it under 32 seconds, and it only about 0"20 from Andrew Kent's time!

INSERT GERMAN WORD FOR PARTY HERE
Brothers Julian & Christian Revermann and their friend Tobias Braner threw a pretty big [insert German word for Party here] recently. All three have new records for Mario Party 5, including Decathalon records. Julian, additionally, played a bit of Pokmon Stadium.

1080 Snowboarding Rankings - Banjo-Kazooie Rankings - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Rankings

MORE RANKINGS UPDATES
Andrew Kent did the Rankings for 1080 Snowboarding and Banjo-Kazooie (because they are first in the alphabet) as well as Zelda: Ocarina of Time, because of Wouter Jansen's presence on the charts. Speaking of Wouter...

HARD-CORPS
Dutch player Wouter Jansen may be low in altitude, but he's high in skill. Today he sent all of his Blast Corps times, and many of them are Nai WRs.

EMILE GETTING A LITTLE HAPPIER
Also Dutch is Emile Broekhuizen, who got two Nai WRs yesterday in Pokmon Stadium, didn't fare as well with his Yoshi's Story scores today, getting no Nai WRs, but he has a couple of decent scores considering he's just starting out with this game.

NICK PASSES FRED
Nicholas St-Louis beats Pier-Yves Lemire in passing Freddie Li in Total Time in F-1 World Grand Prix. He made some very good cuts for several countries.

DIOGO TIES POKMON STADIUM WR
Brazil's Diogo Azevedo tied the Magikarp's Splash WR today in Pokmon Stadium. In Super Smash Bros., he also got his Mario time under 10 seconds in Break the Targets.

MORE PLATFORMING FOR KYLE
Kyle Sinclair is out to prove that Mario Party games aren't the only games he can play, by getting a progressively better Total time in Board the Platforms. Today he passed Jonathan Li in Total and improved three characters!

JULIAN ENTERS DECATHALON
Finally, outside of the Nintendo 64 High Scores proper, an update to the Mario Party 5 PAL page, where German player Julian Revermann sent all his Decathalon records, which are the first for the PAL page. He also bettered a few of his regular mini-game records while he was at it.

BIGGEST UPDATE OF THE MONTH
I'm not going to waste my time counting the scores, I will just tell you there is a lot. Scores for 9 games by 6 players, and both the POD and the POW go to the same player. Read on...

THE GOLDEN FLEES
Matt Flees, or "Pack Attack", made an Attack on the Mario Party 2 NTSC page, where he sent his Drivers Ed times and took two Nai WRs. That's right, Kyle, Matt's taking your WRs! Matt gets an easy POD for his new times, for which he even provided Proof. If you want to check that out.

Matt didn't limit his activity today to Partying... he also took more Nai WRs in Pokmon Snap, his signature game, depriving old-schooler Kevin McPherson of many tied and untied WRs.

SIMON WINS A "COURT CASE"
The British have found a rival in Canadian Simon Archambault. Canada's top Mario Tennis player, he shows his stuff with his Points Mode records today. He took every remaining Nai WR!

VIETS CONG
Emile Broekhuizen stormed into the Pokmon Stadium like a guerilla and seized two Nai WRs. He took back the Sushi-Go-Round WR Kevin LaLonde made yesterday and tying the third WR, Magikarp's Splash.

PIER-YVES OUT-GUNS AND OUT-DRIVES FREDDIE & NICK
Pier-Yves Lemire took two Nai WRs in Perfect Dark Firing Range, catapulting himself out of last place and past rival Freddie Li. And in F-1 World Grand Prix he passed up his other rival Nicholas St-Louis on two tracks.

KYLE CLOSES IN ON FIRST EXCITEBIKE WR & CUTS DOWN BOARD THE PLATFORMS TOTAL
Kyle Sinclair "promises" he'll eventually take Kent Karlsson's Nai WRs for Kyoto, Japan in Excitebike 64. He got a bit closer to it today. In Board the Platforms he climbed the top 20 ladder for two more characters and says he has some times for tomorrow, too!

Players List

POKMON STADIUM ACTIVE TODAY
Two new WRs made in Pokmon Stadium today, one of them by a new player. The other was of course made by Emile Broekhuizen, who broke his tie with Nicholas St-Louis.

PIER-YVES'S ETERNAL RIVALRY WITH FREDDIE LI
In the past, Adam Rose had always been the rival of Pier-Yves Lemire. But we haven't heard from Adam in a while, so Pier-Yves has to find someone new to spar with. He did. In both Perfect Dark and in F-1 World Grand Prix he continues to beat the times of Freddie Li, whom we haven't heard from in a while (but could sometimes soon). In Perfect Dark he made a Nai WR in the Firing Range.

KYLE IN THE PLATFORM TOP 20... BUT NOT THE YOUNGEST
Kyle Sinclair, the 14-year-old gaming geinus, has made it into the top 20 for Board the Platforms. However, a rival of his, Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira (who has no times today), is younger by eight months. Bruno just turned 14 in February but Kyle turns 15 in less than a month. What does Kyle want for his 15th birthday? Yoshi's Story.

MATT FLEES THE NEXT BIG THING IN MARIO PARTY
Today's top story is the new Pokmon Snap champion, Matt Flees, who sent in his Mario Party times today. Four are WRs; the rest are quite nice as well. Kyle Sinclair, watch your back!

PIER-YVES STILL PULLING TRIGGERS
He's not finished with his work on his Firing Range times for Perfect Dark. Today he made a few pretty good shaves, and passed rival Freddie Li both in this game and in F-1 World Grand Prix, where he improved his Barcelona time.

ANOTHER CANADIAN JOINS PIER-YVES ON THE CIRCUIT
Pier-Yves Lemire wasn't the only one spotted on the Barcelona race track. One of his rivals, countryman Nicholas St-Louis, improved not only on Barcelona but on a few other tracks as well, and he's getting his total time lower. Who will pass Freddie first?

TIED WRS CONTINUE FOR "GOLDEN EMILE"
Yesterday, Yoshi's Story was on his hit list. Today it's Pokmon Stadium, where he tied Nicholas St-Louis's WR for Ekan's Hoop Hurl.

ANDREW KENT'S ALIVE!
I hadn't heard from him in a month but Andrew Kent is finally back online and updating Rankings. He's been too busy with college to even answer the e-mails I send him. Today, he updated the Majora's Mask rankings.

BRUNO BROKE THE TARGETS
The Brazilian Break the Targets and Board the Platforms champion continues to trim his best times. He gained a few spots today in Break the Targets.

RETURN TO THE TOP TEN IN SLOT CAR DERBY
Since I got in the top ten in both Slot Car Derbies in the first Mario Party the day before, I decided to work on the second Mario Party today. I got times good enough for the top ten in all three Slot Car Derby races. I also improved one of my Super Mario Bros. DX scores, so Brandon Eberly will never get the WR back now :-)

KYLE PARTIED TOO
Still not 15 yet for another month, Kyle Sinclair worked on Mario Party 5, where he says he got the best possible score in Handy Hoppers, and improved his WR times for Hydrostars (maxing out the score at 1,000 in Decathalon mode)

NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH ANOTHER JASON FROM MICHIGAN
The new player today is named Jason, and he happens to be from Michigan. No, this isn't Jason Whalls, but Jason Blackmer. He makes his N64HS debut with his Cruisin' World times. His time for Egypt is quite close to the WR!

ONE MAN FIRING SQUAD
Pier-Yves Lemire is still whittling down his Firing Range times, passing rivals such as Freddie Li or Andrew Kent with many of them.

WORKING ON MY MARIO PARTY TIMES
I played a little Mario Party last night, cutting some seconds off my Slot Car Derby times in the first Mario Party and improving a WR in the third, plus gain a few places with another score. I have the only new WR out of today's 44 scores, but I'm still letting Jay have the POD.

EMILE IN COMBAT
The new Dutch player Emile Broekhuizen is a great fighter. In Perfect Dark's Combat Simulation he's already in Class A, and he has a nice score for Super Smash Bros. as well.

NEW PLAYER DEBUTS WITH NICE 1-PLAYER SCORE
The new player today is a Dutch player, Emile Broekhuizen. His first score is for Link in 1-Player Mode, which is in the top three already!

CANADIAN PARTY ANIMALS
Dave Phaneuf and two memebers of his crew worked on the Nintendo 64 Mario Party trilogy. Dave himself made a Nai WR in Mario Party 3 for Dizzy Dinghies while his friends Bernard Leclerc, Jr. and Eric Belanger took to Slot Car Derby and Dizzy Dinghies as well but no WRs. One American player best known as a "Party Animal", Kyle Sinclair, didn't contribute a Party time today; he worked on Board the Platforms in Super Smash Bros.

MARIO PARTY 5 PAL?
I've received Julian Revermann's Mario Party 5 records today. As far as I know, all Game Cube games, such as Mario Kart: Double Dash and Super Smash Bros. Melee, are adjusted for PAL so times are the same in both the NTSC and PAL versions. So currently, I have him ranked with all the NTSC players. Once Julian & I have substantial proof that the PAL version times are different in this games, I'll make a PAL page for him and Tobias.

BACK TO NORMAL
We were spared from a direct hit from Hurricane Ivan, but folks around the Alabama-Florida state line weren't so lucky. We only lost power for a few hours this morning. I didn't update yesterday because we spent the day at a friend's house.

CANADIANS GET BOTH PODS
Simon Archambault and Pier-Yves Lemire win the PODs for yesterday and today, respectively. Simon continued working on Mario Tennis and got three WRs from British player Anthony "Ant Man" Clarke, while "P-Y-L" improved his Silver Medal times drastically in Perfect Dark and says he should have a total time as low as Freddie Li by now.

STANISLAV WORTH OVER $84 MILLION
Stanislav Izotov makes a Nai WR in Blast Corps by collecting all of the money in the game-- over $84 million. I've got his proof added to Proofs already.

FABIO, BRUNO, AND KYLE
These three guys didn't do much but they do deserve their fifteen seconds of fame today. Fabio Rossi, the Sicilian player, improved two times for Super Mario 64; Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira got a second place time in Break the Targets and one other improvement in Board the Platforms; Kyle Sinclair improved a Board the Platforms time and went from third to second for one of his Mario Party 4 times.

PREPARING FOR THE STORM-- I DOUBT I'LL BE UPDATING FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS
Those of you who watch the Weather Channel should know about this one. Hurricane Ivan, winds of 140-160 mph (over 200 km/h), is headed directly towards the Gulf Coast of the United States, which is where I live. I had to help make preparations for it this morning. Even if it doesn't make a direct hit, we're still bound to lose our electricity for a while, which means I won't be able to turn on this computer to update N64HS. We could be without power for up to a week. I'll make sure to make up for the lack of updates after this storm is over!

FOUR CANADIANS, FOUR GAMES
Today, four Canadian players are sending scores for different games (though only two can compete for the POD). First, the two N64 players: Karl Michaud, who sent a time for Mario Party 3, and Simon Archambault, who made five new Nai WRs in Mario Tennis. Two players played on GameCube and are thus ineligible for POD: Marilyn Frappier, who is Canada's answer to Michelle Kent, sent a very nice time for Mario Party 4, while Kevin St. Laurent has a pretty good Mario Party 5 score.

CANADA SWEEPS TODAY'S AWARDS

MAPLE LEAF NOT FINISHED YET
Simon Archambault, a third Canadian player, improved a Nai WR in Mario Tennis. He says he has some other new records as well, but they're "not worth mentioning".

BRAZILIANS TAKE TO THE TARGETS
Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira and Diogo Azevedo are going back to target practice. No Nai WRs today, but both players shaved a few seconds off their totals.

Stanislav Izotov, the Swedish guy with Russian name, made both of the Nai WRs for Bust-A-Move 2... and made video proof of them as well. He also has a new 1080 Avalanche site, since his Nintendo Next went down. Stan, by the way, recently told me that he tied some Nai WRs in Yoshi's Story... the copy of the game isn't his, so we may not know what those WRs were. There are a few other "Lost Nai WRs" among the players here at N64HS, including some Star Fox 64 scores from Phil Hughes that I'm still waiting for.

ANOTHER NEW GERMAN PLAYER
Mario Party 5 has a new German player, and the guy who sent me his scores was none other than yesterday's Julian Revermann. Today, Tobias Braner got the Nai WR for Triple Jump (which the PAL version measures in meters and I had to convert to feet), beating Kyle Sinclair by about one inch!

ME AND KYLE
Kyle Sinclair and I each worked on something in the GameCube Mario Parties. I worked on Mario Party 4 a bit before the new season of The Apprentice started, bring my Right Oar Left? time up to 4th place ahead of Dave Phaneuf. Gabe Gunder deserves Player of the Week, for working hard on Excitebike 64 and usually beating out Joe Bauman. This is his first POW.

KYLE & SARAH A GREAT TEAM
Excitebike 64 is still an active game for the "Tecumseh Team". Kyle got second place lap and total times in two tracksby switching from Ricky Stern to Sarah Hill as his driver. KYLE ONCE AGAIN THE POM
I believe this is Kyle's second POM (the first being from May). He clearly deserves it, for he has taken numerous WRs in the Mario Party series this month, especially in Mario Party 1, where he got the WRs in Bobsled Run, the first two Bumper Ball Mazes, Mecha Fly Guy... and Handcar Havoc, where he saved Josh Shadoan's time from being taken town. I changed his time slightly today (today was the deadline for him to provide proof) and he should actually thank Kyle for beating his time, or I would have wiped him off the chart.

TWO GUYS BREAKING TARGETS TODAY, ONE NEW
Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira improved a couple of Break the Targets times today, but so has a guy that the rest of you haven't heard of yet. Robert Carroll is from Reading, Pennsylvania, the same city that Brandon Eberly is from, and in fact, Rob, who is now 22, went to school with Brandon's older brother. He has four new times, and one of them beat Bruno's improvement! Bruno also improved one of his Platform times to get into the top four.

ALL WRS IN SUPER MARIO BROS. DX!
Since I've been on fire with SMBDX recently, I had to get the two remaining WRs. I did, so now I have all the WRs in the game, and a total of 6.6 million points, which is close to perfection.

Super Mario Bros. DX

SUPER MARIO BROTHERS!!!!!!!
It's a bit strange that my current favorite game is one that's nearly 20 years old, but this is a title that has truly stood the test of time, having been re-released THREE times: Super Mario All-Stars for SNES, Classic NES Series for Game Boy Advance, and, of course, Super Mario Bros. DX for Game Boy Color. Today I have set the new record for World 1-1, a level that truly has a place in Nintendo's history, as for many people this was their first time getting ton control Mario, or even their first time playing a console video game, as in my case. It was even remade as an E-Reader level for the Game Boy Advance version of Super Mario Bros. 3. I consider my new score on this level to be virtually flawless, as well as my new scores for World 1-2, and 7-2 (a WR taken from David Wonn). I improved 8-1 to nearly 100,000 (it is possible to get more than 100,000 but I just have to keep trying). In You vs. Boo mode, I worked a bit last night and I now have Black Boo in all eight of the race courses, and I got the score maxed out at 9,999,990 in Original 1985 Mode (but I have yet to do it in Super Mario Bros. for Super Players).

I have also done research lately in the original NES version (on an emulator) and have worked out the exact place from where Mario restarts a level when he is defeated in the second half of the level, I've also worked out exactly how many points you get from stomping enemies and kicking Koopa shells in certain ways (two at the same time, etc.) and I can now say I know the entire scoring system by heart. I also know the time limit for all 32 levels, and with the Game Genie, I've been able to delve more into the game's programming.

If anybody else still has a fascination with this game (which is quite likely) check out this awesome complete guide to Super Mario Bros., which includes everything from maps of every level and all the symbols that appear in your life counter when you have tons of lives! I've been e-mailing the webmaster with the things I've found in the game. Also check out that site while you're there, it has lots of glitches for Mario games you won't even find on David Wonn's site, complete with screenshots, and the differences between the Japanese and American versions of games! A must see for every Mario fan!

So those of you that have known me for all these years can now know that it's not Yoshi's Story, but rather Super Mario Brothers, which is the game that truly has a place in my heart. It was the first console game I ever played, and I got it for Christmas 1993. After getting rid of the NES a year later I played the SNES version for many years, and now that I have the Game Boy Color version I can compete with all of you for high scores; incidentally enough, the Challenge Mode in this game seems very similar to the Trial Mode in Yoshi's Story. As the years went past, Mario's adventures became more complex, going from RPGs to full 3-D adventures. But Super Mario Brothers is the root of it all. In fact if it weren't for Super Mario Bros., there would be no Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros... or Yoshi's Story. And N64HS would be a lot less exciting.

Long live Mario!

DAVE PHANEUF TRIES TO RAISE THE CANADIAN FLAG OVER THE MARIO PARTY 5 PAGE
Around 30 or so new records for Mario Party 5 today, all from Dave Phaneuf and the other Canadian players associated with him. None of them took any Nai WRs, quite miraculously enough. American player Kyle Sinclair still has all of them, meaning the Stars and Stripes still fly over the Mario Party 5 page, and not the Maple Leaf!

SHOWING DAVID WONN WHO'S BOSS :-)
I worked on some Super Mario Bros. DX as the 2004 Summer Olympic games came to a close (yes, I watched the closing ceremony and played at the same time) and I've added another 500,000 points to my total, taking 2 more WRs from David Wonn and putting myself ahead of him by more than a million points!

THE CANADIANS ARE COMING
Tomorrow, the Mario Party 5 page will be hit with a tsunami of Canadian players. The flood happens tomorrow-- I don't have time to post all of these scores today, it's Sunday. I did, however, post one non-N64 score, an improvement by me in Super Mario Bros. DX on one of my old WRs.

On it are scores from three Michigan players-- Joe Bauman, Justin Kocaj, and, of course, Kyle himself. I have some records for that game-- if I remember to, I'll get them written down and add them to the charts. Like my Mario party 4 records, they're not very good because I haven't hardly played any GameCube games other than Super Smash Bros. Melee.

NEW POKMON SNAP PLAYER HITS ALL OF TODAY'S WRS, IS PROBABLY NEW SNAP CHAMP

Matt Flees, another new Pokmon Snap player from California, defeated Austrian player Ren Elssser's long-standings Beach record, and in Single Pokmon, got the Nai WR for about half of the Pokmon! He's also got the highest Total Report Score now, beating Kevin McPherson's long-standing WR score!

David Wonn, as you may know, finds interesting glitches in many popular Nintendo games, earning him the title of the "Glitch Man". Kyle surprises us all again with his talent-- this time beating the Handcar Havoc WR for Mario Party that I had just asked Josh Shadoan for proof of a week ago! Since Josh's time is no longer a WR, I'm relaxing the ultimatum against him, I will simply adjust his time rather than take it down off the charts completely if he fails to provide proof.

MORE PARTYING
Kyle's Mario Party work doesn't end with the Handcar WR... he also tied a Dizzy Dinghies WR in Mario Party 3, improved some of his other Mario Party 3 records, and sent his friend Justin Kocaj's time for Mario Party 1 Bobsled Run, which is one "step" away from my time. (You should know by now how Mario Party games usually time you)

WOUTER & NICK ST.-LOU
These two players also did some work today. Wouter took one of Myles Bukrim's Nai WRs in Star Wars Racer, improving many of his other times, while Nicholas St.-Louis makes his F-1 World Grand Prix debut by beating N64HS creator Iacopo Sorce's times for the first two countries.

WIND 'EM UP!
Kyle gets yet another Nai WR in Mario Party. This time it's Mecha Fly Guy. He ties Barron Ng's record of 67 spins, but beats him out in flight time. (I am pretty sure that flight time is determined by how much of a partial spin you did after your last whole spin; Barron may have gotten 67 1/4 spins while Kyle got 67 3/4).

TOMMY G.
The Geneva, Switzerland native, Thomas Grandjean, improved some times in Super Mario 64. No Nai WRs though. His best time was Princess's Secret Slide without shortcuts.

WOUTER GETS MORE SWE1R WRS
The new Star Wars Episode 1 Racer champion Wouter Jansen wants all the Nai WRs, today he took most of the WRs he didn't already have. He improved his Bumpy's Breakers time and says he made a new video for it as well!

BRUNO'S ON TARGET

Freddie Li trivia: Freddie and I are both big fans of the rock band Queen, and Freddie says he may have even been named after the band's late lead singer.

Also today: Kyle Sinclair shaves 0"20 off his WR time for Bobsled Run. With this guy around, it's not unusual for the youngest player in a chart to be the WR holder...

Players List - Proofs

HONEY, I'M HOME!
Just got back from a three-day trip to Prarieville, Louisiana (not far from Baton Rouge) to spend the weekend with my aunt and a second cousin, and we had a great time. No POD is awarded for today since none of today's scores were sent to me today (I do check the dates on e-mails, you know) but I have been able to award two PODs for yesterday and the day before, a POW, and a POM.

NATE GETS POM FOR BREAKING THE DAM
Nathan Stinson allowed a huge flood of scores to fill N64HS like a basin this month, with the creation of the Perfect Dark Firing Range pages. Though he didn't play that much this month, I give him the POM for changing N64HS so much with his new pages.

STAR WARS PAGE "GOES DUTCH"
An F-Zero X player from Holland, Wouter Jansen, sent in all his Star Wars Episode 1 Racer times for the Saturday POD. Most were Nai WRs, some by a minute or more! He even made a movie of one of his best WRs, linked in the Proofs section

NINTH-GRADE PLAYER GETS TOP-GRADE TIMES
Kyle Sinclair, 14 years old, got the POD for yesterday by beating two of my very best Mario Party records that hadn't been touched in a while: Bobsled Run and Mecha Fly Guy. In Mario Party 3 he continues climbing the charts in Dizzy Dinghies, shaved precious tenths of a second from Rockin' Raceway, and sent in his friend's record for Pump, Pump, and Away (and improved his own to third place)

ILLINOIS & INDIANA
The POW goes to Illinois player Sean Kaczmarek for three 1-player mode scores in Super Smash Bros. that are all Nai WRs, including the only score over 2 million we have ever received. Neighboring Indiana boasts about their Daniel Hasting, who didn't get any awards today, but worked his hardest to defend his SWE1R records against the one-man Dutch invasion.

NAI WR BUST
Daniel Hasting seized several Nai WRs in Star Wars Episode 1 Racer today. And to think that he was in or near last place in most of the tracks yesterday... I owe him today's POD for climbing the charts so fast.

KYLE'S ON THE BALL
Remember back in Super Mario Bros. 3 when Lemmy Koopa walked around on a ball? Kyle Sinclair does Lemmy one better today with his Bumper Ball Maze times. He got in the top three for the 2nd and 3rd Bumper Ball courses, knocking me out of the top ten on the 3rd. He tied 3rd in Handcar Havoc as well!

A TOUCH OF FEMININITY
I got an e-mail from Andrew Kent... but none of the scores are his, they are all from Michelle Kent, his sister who is the ultimate female player at N64HS. She improved four scores and has a total score over 13 million.

ONE MONTH TO PROVE HIS TIME... I'M NOT "JOSHING" HIM
I've received complaints that Josh Shadoan's Handcar Havoc WR time for Mario Party NTSC is possibly a hoax, so I have sent him an e-mail asking him to prove his time. He has until September 1, 2004 to prove his time. If I don't have proof of his score by the time I do the September 1 update, I will take his time down off the charts.

NO UPDATES FOR THE NEXT THREE DAYS.
I'm going to be in Prairieville, Louisiana over the weekend to meet with some family, as long as nothing major happens that forces us to cancel the trip. If I'm gone, there won't be any N64HS updates, or e-mail replies from me. Keep e-mailing me your scores anyway... I'll be back do to a big 4-day update on Monday or Tuesday!

Mickal Verkenne couldn't do it, but Sean Kaczmarek defeated Matt Leto's Mario WR in 1-player mode. Sean also took the Nai WR for DK. Both scores are over 1.8 million.

KYLE'S PARTY
I don't know if he's celebrating his 15th birthday a few months early, but Kyle Sinclair has a reason to party today-- he tied a Nai WR in Mario Party and got a good time for Bumper Ball Maze 1.

PENNSYLVANIA POWER
The player originally known for Mario Kart 64, Drew Kostecki, has a ton of scores today for Mario Tennis and Mario Party 3 to add to N64HS and make it even bigger. In Tennis he Ring-Shot his way to about 20 Nai WRs and in Party he became the 10th player to tie the Nai WR for Cosmic Coaster (even though all 10 slots are filled on that chart, I will still accept times for the Coaster as long as they tie the WR!). He also make a nice second place score for Pump, Pump, and Away!

Another Pennsylvania player, Lawrence Brown, takes 3rd place for the Rescue game in Tetrisphere, topping one billion points!!!

KYLE & DAN KEEP BATTLING IT OUT
They are eternal rivals in Mario Party 2 & 3, both of them continuing to shave seconds off their times in games like Drivers Ed, Slot Car Derby, and Dizzy Dinghies.

SHAVING OFF THE HUNDREDTHS OF A SECOND LIKE UNWANTED WHISKERS
Maybe he doesn't have a problem with his facial hair, but Bruno continues to "shave" those precious hundredths of a second off in Board the Platforms to get closer to Andrew Kent once more.

STEADY FREDDIE
I could have easily given this Scottish guy today's POD, with his improvements for Perfect Dark Firing Range. One of them is even another Nai WR for him!

MYLES BEATS CURTIS... AND KOOPA THE QUICK
Mr. Bukrim shows us that Curtis didn't quite make a perfect time for the Capless, Cannonless Footrace with Koopa the Quick With Warps in Super Mario 64. He beats Mr. Bright by 0"1.

BIGGEST. UPDATE. EVAR.
It sure doesn't take long for records to be broken around here =) 197 scores by 7 players for 9 games. I have been working on this update for 5 hours (on and off). I mowed my yard and ate five ham and cheese sandwiches, then finished the update. Looking at this screen for all these hours has given me a bit of a headache :-P I can't wimp out now, it's now time to summarize all the chaos that has occured in these last 24 hours!

THE RAYOLA SUPREMACY
Chris Rayola more than deserves today's POD. He has an incredible 116 new times for today, beating the record Andrew Kent set just yesterday! Like I said, it doesn't take long for records to be broken here... Anyway, all of his times are for Perfect Dark, and most of them are Nai WRs! Chris has very easily beaten the record for most Nai WRs set by a single player in a single day, even if I haven't bothered to count and make sure.

THE DOCTOR IS IN
Stephen Chan is back. Today he has four Dr. Mario 64 scores, which absolutely slaugher the scores Nathan Stinson started the page off with. He's also got a very nice new score for Yoshi's Story, just ten points from the tied Nai WR!

ONE-MAN SMASH-FEST
Nathan "smashed" a lot of his old records in Super Smash Bros. today after watching videos of fast times for Break the Targets and Board the Platforms. While I recommend you try and find your own strats, Nathan used strats he learned in the video to shave several seconds off of his totals.

DREW KOSTECKI
Drew's back, this time with Banjo-Kazooie times. His total time beats mine! Also, Drew is hosting a second Mario quiz at Game FAQs... and I'll be in this one too.

GET THE PARTY STARTED
Daniel Hasting partied hearty with some new times for all three Mario Party games, including a tied WR for Mario Party 3. He also improved one of his times in Extreme G, and corrected a mistake in one of yesterday's times.

YES, THERE'S MORE FROM TOMMY
Thomas Grandjean proved me right yesterday with some new times for Super Mario 64. He did mostly the Princess's Secret Slide challenges, where he fared quite well.

Perfect Dark (All Firing Range Pages, Gadgets, Holo) - Mario Party (PAL) - Mario Party 2 (NTSC) - Extreme G - Cruisin' World

"YOU'RE FIRED!"
Andrew Kent can rightly say this to his competition. It didn't take long for someone to beat Pier-Yves Lemire's record for most scores sent to N64HS in one day. But Andrew did it today, with 112 (count 'em) new scores and times, all of them for Perfect Dark (mostly Firing Range). As you might have guessed, Andrew took a ton of Nai WRs. He even introduced his sister Michelle and his neighbor Adam to the Perfect Dark competitive field.

DAN STRIKES BACK
Daniel Hasting wasn't content with letting Dave Phaneuf have two of his Extreme-G Nai WRs, so he stood up and quickly reclaimed them. He also improved some Mario Party 2 times.

THE WORLD IS SEAN'S!
Sean Kaczmarek finally did it... he took the World WR in Cruisin' World! Yay! He also took the New York WR... you know what that means... Mr. Kaczmarek now has ALL the Cruisin' World Nai WRs!

WELCOME BACK MR. GRANDJEAN!
Thomas Grandjean, the Swiss Mario Party player, has made a return. He got the last Nai WR in the Bumper Ball Mazes in Mario Party (PAL Version). Can we expect more from Tommy in the future?

"IT'S A-ME, FABIO!"
I got quite a few new Super Mario 64 times from Fabio. No, not that famous muscular guy with the long hair, but I'm talking about Fabio Rossi, Italy's new power player. He made quite a bit of headway in the Koopa races and the Coinless and Capless, Cannonless challenges.

Awards (2nd & 3rd Quarters 2003) - Player of the Charts - Super Mario 64 Rankings - Players List

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY
Wow. I have just been swamped with score e-mails these past few days. Today we have submissions from eight players, one of them a new player, and twelve updated pages! Anyway, on with today's news.

SPEAK OF THE DEVIL...
...and he appears. I'm talking about the mentioning of Andrew Kent in yesterday's update. He decided to make it just a bit harder for Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira to pass him in total Board the Platforms time. His neighbor Adam improved a time, too.

...BUT WAIT, THE AUSSIES AREN'T DONE YET
The entire "Aussie Team" has wreaked havoc on the Super Mario 64 page. Andrew improves his Slide Non-SC time and gets within 0"1 of the WR in the original Koopa the Quick race, and improves the second Koopa race without the Shell. His sister Michelle got another Capless, Cannonless Star as well as some more Capless, Cannonless Coins. Adam improved his time for the original Princess's Secret Slide challenge.

Additionally, Andrew & Adam have new Perfect Dark Combat Simulation statistics. Adam didn't gain any positions, but Andrew gained a few.

AWARDS AND RANKINGS UPDATES
Andrew didn't restrict his activity to playing. He worked on the Super Mario 64 Rankings as well as updated two Awards pages. A lot has happened in Super Mario 64 lately so you might want to check out the updated Rankings, OK?

PARTY ANIMALS
Mario Party 2 players Kyle Sinclair and John Chapman, worked on their Slot Car Derby times a bit.

NEW STAR FOX 64 PLAYER
We have a new player, Karanhaar Singh, with some nice new scores for Star Fox 64 (including some top fivers). Can we expect more from him in the future?

YES, SEAN IS STILL CRUISIN' THE WORLD
Finally, one new time from Sean Kaczmarek today. He shaved a few seconds off his World total time, but didn't take the WR. Better luck next time.

HATS OFF TO SHADOW X
John Chapman gets the POD today for improving four times in Mario Party 2. He says he'll be sending scores for other games eventually.

SEAN WON'T STOP
Not yet tired of driving all over the world in his Speed Demon, Sean Kaczmarek has two brand new times. However, today, he doesn't gain a position from either one.

DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO KENT
Bruno de Vasconcelos just can't quite pass Andrew Kent in Total time for Board the Platforms. Today his Mario improvement put him just 0"02 behind the "Awesome Aussie".

Proofs - Players List

"SHADOW X" MAY GIVE MATT LETO A RUN FOR HIS MONEY
The second player from Texas at N64HS, John "Shadow X" Chapman makes his debut with some nice records for Mario Party 2. He didn't make any Nai WRs but he did beat most of Matt's times!

NAI WR X 5!!!!!
There is always someone impressing us with their driving skills. Today it's Sean Kaczmarek, who's too good for Drivers Ed, so he just drives around all over the world, and today, he made WRs for five countries!

THE LAST WE'LL HEAR FROM DAN IN A WHILE
Daniel Hasting is about to go on vacation, so he's sending me a few Super Mario 64 times before he leaves. He also left me with a proof page for his Mario Party records, so I added it to the Proofs!

Cruisin' World - Mario Party 2 (NTSC) - Super Mario 64 - Super Smash Bros. (Platforms)

BUSY FOURTH
Nineteen scores and eight WRs from six players. Today's POD was a rather close battle between American players Kyle Sinclair and Sean Kaczmarek, who garnerned multiple Nai WRs in Mario Party 2 and Cruisin' World, respectively. Kyle got four WRs to Sean's three, so I'm presenting him with the prestigious Fourth of July POD.

COIN COLLECTING AND PLATFORM BOARDING
The other active players today were me, Daniel Hasting, and Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira. Daniel Hasting collected the final coin in Super Mario 64's "Capless, Cannonless" challenge while I worked on finishing the Slide with all 80 coins in the fastest time, a game at which Dan did me one better. Bruno de Vasconcelos inches closer to a second place Total time in Board the Platforms, where he shaved a tenth of his second off his Link time (no positions gained). Also, Justin Kocaj sends his Bobsled time for Mario Party 2 which misses mine by .04 seconds... lucky me.

Super Mario 64 - Super Smash Bros. (Targets and Platforms)

DAN STILL THE MAN
Daniel Hasting is determined to make POM this month, with PODs for the first three days of July so far. Today he improved four times in Super Mario 64.

KYLE BACK AT THE WHEEL
Kyle Sinclair may be too young for a learner's permit, but he's been at Drivers Ed for quite a while, wresting a second place from Thiago today.

SLIDERS
Daniel Hasting and Curtis Bright both improve the Princess' Secret Slide times they got yesterday. Curt tied Nash's old time, but Dan tied the WR! He gets the POD for making today's only WR.

CLOSIN' IN ON KENT
Bruno de Vasconcelos Teixeira improved one Break the Targets time, and one Board the Platforms time. His Board the Platforms total is now only a quarter of a second from Andrew Kent's!

Main Menu

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS
It's POM and POQ time again. The POM for June was a tough call, but I finally decided that Sean Kaczmarek deserved it, who chimed in near the end of the month with an influx of great Cruisin' World times. In just a matter of days he becomes the second best player, after Gustavo.

The POQ goes to none other than Kyle Sinclair, who became the second best Mario Party 2 player, very close to the best, and added many friends to the competition. At only 14 years old, he's the youngest (known) POQ winner.

FRESH START
We've arrived at the start of a new quarter so the updates from April, May, and June have been put in a new Archived News page. It's on that little menu to your left.

NASH BROWN EAT YOUR HEART OUT
All these ace Super Mario 64 players won't stop tying and beating Nash Brown's former Nai WR on the Princess's Secret Slide in Super Mario 64. Daniel Hasting has become the next person to tie Nash's time, and Curtis Bright, whom we haven't heard from in a while, missed it by a tenth of a second.

NON-N64HS
You may remember that Andrew Kent had a page for Super Mario Bros. DX Challenge Mode scores. I decided to take over it, changing the format to a N64HS page. You can see it here. As you can see, this has been up since April, but with all of the new scores from Andrew Kent, I decided to call attention to it now. In the future I may make pages for other non-N64 games, and maybe even add a non-N64 section to N64HS.
