TwinGalaxies Video Games Scoreboard
These guys are the official monitors of video game scores, right from the
first commercial pong game right up to the Mario Sunshines and GTA 3s of this
day. If you think you've got a World Record and you want it published, go to
these guys because they have their own book! Iacopo has had an affiliacy with
TwinGalaxies since like August 2000 or something, so it's well established by
now I guess. If you want to know more about TwinGalaxies and what they're all
about, visit them at:
Ren has for a long time (since 1998 or '99 I believe) maintained a Nintendo
Hi-Score site which has listed links to every known Hi-Score site on the
Internet which lists best times for different games. I think his list now
approaches 80 different games, and with the recent release of the GCN over in
America this number is set to rise. REX has until recently updated Rankings for
Mario Kart 64 (PAL and NTSC Versions) and GoldenEye, but now Michael Liem and
Wes McKinney have taken over those respective games. REX still updates his page
now and then, so visit him at:
The Perfect Dark Elite began in 2001 and expanded to include GoldenEye 64 (which
everyone appreciates) and TWINE (though nobody knows why). Several members of
The Elite began their own rankings for other games like Zelda: Majora's Mask and
Super Smash Bros.: Melee. Most of these can be found linked to The Elite. It's
run jointly by (in alphabetical order) Jon Barber, Derek Clark, Karl Jobst, Greg
Lavery, Matthijs ten Ham and Bryan Youse. All these guys help keep the site in
order and boy does it look good! Many links to other sites can be found within,
so check it out at:
The oldest site dedicated to a N64 game, begun by Andy Launspach (for NTSC
gamers) and REX (for PAL) independently, it is now all one site, maintained by
Kevin Booth, Michael Liem, and a group of dedicated karters who assist them. It
lists Top 100 tables for all tracks, both Non-Shortcut and Shortcut where
applicable. So, you got 1'39"99 on Luigi Raceway? Tell them about it! Apart from
the site there is also an eGroup e-mail set up for people to submit times to the
site. It's at its sixth or seventh URL now, having moved a good many times in
the past. Find out more at:
The #1 place for F-Zero fans, whichever one (SNES, N64 or GBA) you play. The
SNES section was once updated by Sami Çetin, and the N64 section by David
van Moer, but Dave Crawford (who updated the GBA section) has amalgamated the
whole lot to make it easier for gamers competing in more than one system. It
features too much stuff to mention here so go lookup:
A fairly new page maintained by Alex Pitera, it features scores for a host of
games for those two systems. It's nice and colourful even though it's still in
its infancy and with the GCN branch it may eventually supercede or mirror the
N64HS for Nintendo's new system. It can be found at:
A very nice high scores site for Game Cube games. There are high scores for Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Luigi's Mansion, and more. You do not have to use your real name on this site-- you can pick any name you want to be known as! It can be found at:
