It would be a pleasure
December 9, 9:14 PM Busy past few days. Wednesday the 30th I went out to both Blockbuster and Hollywood video looking for a movie to do for my Abnormal psychology in movies project. Hollywood had Good Will Hunting, so I got that one. That night I went up to Mandie's dorm and used her laptop to watch it. I really liked the movie, but somewhere in the middle of it Mandie got the idea that I was a thief. Who can fathom the feminine mind? Thursday the 1st Can't remember much from this day. I had art history and finished my movie assignment, and I think thats about all I did. Friday the 2nd Mandie came over. We spent the whole day together after our classes and had a great time. Saturday the 3rd Mandie and I spent the day together again. We went to the Green Bowl downtown and we both loved it. The food there is so good, and I even got a great parking place. After dinner we came back to my place and worked on homework for a few hours. Then we watched Dennis Leary, and also Clerks, one of the greatest movies of all time. Sunday the 4th Mandie and I went to Sheetz for dinner. The weekend was almost over though, and Mandie had to get back to her dorm. I took her back and after getting to the appartment, did some homework and tried to fall asleep. I couldn't. I was up until 5 am trying to sleep. Boy, was I going to need that sleep the next day... Monday the 5th This was a really bad day. I woke up at around 7:30, meaning I got 2.5 hours of sleep. I didn't eat breakfast and shot out the door, just like every other morning. Today was going to be different though. When I got towards the end of my health class, I started feeling really nauseated. By the time everyone stood up to leave, I was ready to vomit. I got up and started running towards the door, but instead of making it, I passed out, and found myself sprawled across the top of the chairs in the classroom, with a bloody lip and a bump on the head. Nothing like this had ever happened to me before. Everyone just stared at me and must have thought I tripped. I mumbled some obscenities and picked myself up. I got out the door and started down the hall, when I suddenly felt weak and passed out AGAIN. At this point everyone was freaked out and the professor came out to see what was happening. An ambulence was called, but I was able to walk out to it and ride to the clinic. A doctor at the clinic told me that I passed ot due to not eating or drinking much (because of a sore throat I had for the past couple weeks), having a viral infection that he found, not sleeping, not eating breakfast, and from being overheated from leaving my coat on in class. I went back to the appartment and relaxed because I felt lightheaded for the rest of the day. Mandie also came over to check on me and we hung out for a while to watch Whos Line. It was fun, and I walked Mandie back to the bus stop when it came to take her back. Tuesday the 6th I was still feeling weird today, but I went to art history class for the final review. After that I worked on my art homework for a while. I also had to take Good Will Hunting back to the store, and after doing that, I relaxed for a bit and went to bed. Wednesday the 7th I felt extremely ill today. Somehow I made it through all my classes, then came back and laid in bed for the next 5 hours. I still had to finish my art homework though, so I did what I could, didn't even study for my art final, and fell asleep. Yesterday, the 8th Feeling a lot better, I scanned my artwork onto a disk and had it in to the professor by 10:45 am. Then I spent the day until about 4 pm cramming for the art history final, which started at 4:15. I got to the class for the final, and took it. Except for maybe 10% of the questions, it was a breeze. Confident that I did well, I left the class and caught the bus (later finding out Mandie was waiting for me on the other side of the building) and came back to the appartment. Finally feeling relaxed I played some Simcity 4, and after a while went to bed. Today, the 9th I awoke to six inches of snow on the ground. I got to the bus stop and made it to all my classes without any problems. I came back to the appartment and started comparing new computers for my parents, since they need one. Now I'm kicking back and waiting for the urge to study for finals to hit me. I love you so much hun! See you tomorrow! I feel like owning some noobs right now... I'm sitting on the fence November 30, 12:59 AM Today was an interesting day. I woke up around 10:30 and noticed how it was absolutely pouring outside. I grabbed my drawing supplies and my umbrella, then got to class. I finished up my self portrait, and also worked on my sculpture drawing. After that I went back to the appartment and interviewed my grandma for my health class assignment. When it was time for Art History I got there in time and sat through the class. On my way out, a friend stopped me and said that there was an informational session about the internship we both signed up for, so I went with her to it. Turns out this "internship" is basically a scam. You work for a house painting company, and they train you in management skills. You are then suppossed to advertise your branch of this painting business and get jobs for workers that you hire to paint. At the end of the summer, Half of whatever you make goes back to the company. Then you pay your workers and pay for your materials, and whatever is left over is yours. Your "territory" is your hometown. Since this had nothing to do with psychology and sounded like a crock of shit I told them I wasn't interested anymore. I saw Mandie today too and I tried to help her with her computer. After that I had to go and do my homework, which I just got done. Thats it for today, see you later. I love you very much, see you tomorrow! More...need more games... Welcome Aboard November 29, 12:42 AM What a week and a half. On Friday the 18th, I had my cognitive psychology exam. It was pretty easy because that is the class where the students make up the questions, but they were a little harder this time around. By the end of the day I knew I scored a 23/25 on it, and I was really happy about that because I thought I had done worse. That night, Mandie came over and I surprised her with her birthday present. It was the first season of Gilmore Girls, her favorite TV show. Saturday the 19th was nice because Mandie invited me along with her family to Red Lobster for her birthday dinner. We all ate as much as we could stand, and since I had a huge exam in Psychology Careers on Monday I couldn't stick around for the shopping trip. That evening was spent studying for that exam, but later that night I picked Mandie up in my car after I heard that she didn't have a good time with her family after I left. We got some donuts and spent the next several hours together. Sunday the 20th was really crazy. I spent all day and all night into the next morning studying for my exam. It was going to be a big one and I had to be prepared. I got about 2 hours of "sleep" that night due to all the studying. Monday the 21st was the day of the exam. I absolutely conquored it exept for one question that wasn't worth much anyway. My other classes went smoothly, and after my last class I hung out with my cognitive psych professor and his research assistants for about 2 hours talking about research and how to get in on it. He told me he would be happy to take me on board next semester and all I'd have to do is say the word. That evening I started packing for home, and by the end of the day I was exausted and fell asleep easily. Tuesday the 22nd I didn't wake up until after 12 pm. I didn't miss anything though since two of the classes I slept through were cancelled and the one I did actually miss didn't have anything going on. I went to my last class, then returned to the appartment to finish packing for home. I got back to the house around 5:45 due to ludicrous traffic. That night, I went down to the building to help my dad load the winter tires I would need to have put on my car the next day. After I got home from that, I relaxed and fell asleep. Wednesday the 23rd was busy. After I got back from the Tire place to get my studs on, I went to the grocery store to pick up some apples for my mom. When I got home I had to clean up some ice and chop some wood. After I was done with that I took care of the dog and swept up the basement floor. Then I cleaned the bathroom and helped my mom with a few things upstairs. After all of that was done I got on the family computer and discovered it was acting very weird. The internet wasn't working properly and I was getting many weird errors. So I started the maintenence programs on it and played Mortal Kombat while it ran. It ran into the night without any progress at all. Thursday the 24th was Gluttony Day. I went up to my Grandparents house for Thanksgiving Lunch at 1 pm, then came back to the house to try harder to fix the computer. It still wouldn't work, and my relatives showed up, so I quit for the time being and talked to them. Then my mom's thanksgiving dinner commenced and we all had a good time eating in the living room and dining room. After dinner I returned to the computer struggle. Luckily AIM still worked right so I could talk to Mandie about Black Friday, which was the next day. She invited me to go on her shopping spree at 6 am. I told her there was no way I would be able to get up that early but thanked her for the offer after telling her it was insane to shop that early. While taking a break from the computer I told my dad that we should probably put Windows XP on it after a full reformat, because I thought it would be good for it. He agreed and we decided to go to WalMart at noon the next day. Friday the 25th was the fabled celebration of American Capitalism, Black Friday. Mandie got up and started her shopping hours before I even rolled out of bed, which was right before noon. My dad told me that we couldn't leave yet though because he needed to help my grandpa with something before we went. When he got back around 2:30, we left for WalMart with my sister. When we got there it wasn't nearly as insane as I had feared, but they were totally sold out of Windows XP. I called the next nearest walmart and they had it, so we went there and picked it up. I got home and eagerly tried to install it but the CD Drive wouldn't read the disk. I tried 6 or 7 times for it to work but it just wouldn't. By 10 pm I broke down and called Tech support. 2.5 hours and 3 techs later I was still getting nowhere. I hung up the phone and signed on AIM, where Mandie told me of her shopping exploits and how great the new Harry Potter movie was. After that, I went to bed. ![]() Saturday the 26th I struggled more with the computer. Thinking that maybe the CD Drive laser was dirty, I took it out of the computer, took it apart, and air dusted the laser. When I attempted to put it back together I ended up breaking it. I threw it on the floor and told everyone that I broke the stupid drive and now there was no way Windows was getting on there. The Microsoft tech even called back and Allison had to tell him it was hopeless. Still not prepared to admit defeat, I got in touch with Brad, a former tech support guy and friend of mine, for advice. He told me that from the symptoms I was experiencing, it was likely a very serious problem, and he gave me some strategies to attack it. I tried them all and nothing worked. I was now at the end of my knowledge. There was nothing else I could do. I stepped back from the computer and declared it hopeless. My relatives also left around this time, and I spent that night with Mandie. I showed her Mortal Kombat and we watched some TV, then I had to take her home. After that I went to bed. ![]() Sunday the 27th was church day. After I learned that baking cookies and buying gifts for Christmas is paganistic, I went home to get ready to come back to the appartment. By that night, I had everything packed and told everyone goodbye, including the animals. Leo was especailly sad to see me go. On my way back to the appartment I noticed a loud clanking noise coming from the car. As I got closer to the appartment it got louder and louder. I parked it without any trouble and decided to just unpack and check it in the daylight the next day. Today, the 28th, was a good day. I slept in through my Psychology Careers class, and in cognitive psych I talked to my professor about the research. He told me I'm in, and I'll be on the list for research assistants next semester. Booyah. In my last class, someone from the college of business said there was a paid internship availiable to all majors over the summer. I put my name in just in case they might call me. After all of that I went outside to work on my art projects but is started raining so I had to quit. When I got back to the appartment I did other homework instead. I also found out that the car's clunking noise was coming from my lugnuts on the front driver side tire being totally loose. I tightened those up and the noise went away. I spent the rest of the day doing homework and preparing for tomorrow. Thats all for this update, see you all next time. I love you more than anything cupcake, and I always will. I just realized I own over 300 games... Check Plus November 17, 7:01 PM Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog. Last week was pretty decent for me. I had my abnormal psych test on the 11th, which I ended up getting an 86 on. I was actually really disappointed about that, I thought I got an A. On the 12th Mandie and I went to the Yellowcard concert downtown. I really didn't like it, it was my first concert though and I didn't really know what to expect. Mandie on the other hand, loved it. She probably would have stayed for the late show if she could have. Afterwards we came back to my place and hung out for a while. On Sunday I just hung around the appartment. My mom specificly asked if I would please go to church that day, so I did to make her feel better. I sat in the back and learned that burying money is never a good thing. This week was a rough one for me. I did all sorts of homework and not much else. Even pulled an almost all nighter on Tuesday night. Yeah it really blew ass. Wednesday my parents came up and we went to sheetz for food. We also stopped by Walmart to pick up a few things. At the end of the short visit, I said goodbye and returned to the appartment to get ready for today. Something else that happened recently was that my new roommate Tom moved in with his girlfriend I think. She cleaned the bathroom which was really cool. Today I drew myself in art class. I think it came out really well. Also the temperature dipped below freezing so I'm expecting snow soon. Thats about all for now, see you next time... You are gorgeous, I love you more than I can ever tell you If gaming needed a kidney, I'd give it up. Hydrocity Zone November 8, 12:33 AM This weekend was really nice. Saturday night Mandie and I went downtown to check out the scene. We found tons of people everywhere, but the places we wanted to go were closing down for the night. We got there too late. The night wasn't a total loss though, we had to park on the top of a parking garage and got to see a neat view of the town, and Mandie got some extra practice walking in her heels. I don't know how she manages to balance on them, but she insists it isn't hard. That night we hung out at my appartment, and watched lawnmower racing, ultimate fighter championship, and Chris Rock on comedy centrals Secret Stash. He was hilarious and we must have stayed up till after 4:30. Sunday was a day of homework. I read about as much as I could stand of my abnormal psych book and started up a new game of Civ. This time I am the Mayans, and so far there have only been a few bumps in the road. I am in the lead in military power and the tech race. Today was actually really boring. Nothing happened in class, and nothing happened at the appartment. Mandie had to go to bed early due to getting very little sleep over the past few days, but not before she passed on an interesting strategy for staying focused while reading a textbook. She writes parts of the textbook as she reads to stay moving and keep alert, but I always just read straight through. I'm going to give it a try. I couldn't think of a new game to play this time, but I'll come up with something soon. I love you so much, sleep well and sleep long Sometimes you go faster if you know when to brake. Thought Exercise 4 November 5, 1:02 AM And here we are with the update. The last couple weeks have been pretty exciting. I've been really busy, doing papers, taking tests, and keeping up with assignments. I learned just last week that I would be getting a new roommate. His name is Tom and he will be here tomorrow. I actually met him already but he couldn't stay. In gaming news, I picked up Civilization 4, and after a while playing that and comparing it to civ 3, I have to say that 4 was a dissapointment. Civ 3 is cleaner, faster, and just plain more fun to play. Civ 4 seems to really plod along, with each game taking long only because the game moves so slowly. Also, Mandie got me Mortal Kombat Deception, which I am very excited about. I haven't played it yet since my gamecube isn't up here, but I will soon. Today, due to getting very low quality sleep, I slept through all four of my classes. Having nightmares about your friends being brutally murdered and your car being destroyed will do that to you. I spent the rest of my day doing homework and reflecting on the semester. This semester hasn't really been too hard. Except for the constant annoyance of my Art 20 class, none of the classes are really giving me problems. The same can't be said for my Cupcake. Just today she passed out on her bed after pulling an all night study marathon. Unfortunately this caused her to sleep through her test. Hopefuly she can make it up without any real trouble. The family seems to be doing alright too. My sister is having an easy time in college so far, and Leo and Prince are keeping my parents company. Also Lara and Delly if they feel like it. Now for something a little different. What is this a picture of? ![]() Email me with the answer if you know. I love you so much, you are wonderful to me Accept this deal or pay the consequences! |
