Run
June 26, 12:17 AM Quick update. Mandie and I are going to the beach in July. It's going to be so awesome I can't even describe it! I can't wait for next month... Work has been going really well for me. I'm pretty comfortable running everything, and I'm probably the hardest worker there. We just had a big storm come through, which knocked over a lot of trees and branches. We've been going nuts trying to clean it all up, and just this last Saturday we had an almost packed park. Speaking of Saturday, it was also the day of my dad's auction which I helped with. We pulled in 1300 dollars for the church, and they wouldn't even let us use their dumpsters. Last week I went bowling with Mandie, which was lots of fun. Afterwards we ate some Chinese for dinner, then we went to the mall where I bought a CD repair kit to try and fix my Total Annihilation CD. It seems to have worked. Also, Mandie's training is going very well, and shes up to wearing 3 inch heels almost constantly. Soon I'm going to help her get some 6 inch pumps, which will be a very difficult test of balance and endurance to wear for any period of time. It should be a good warmup for ballet heels though. I also can't wait for her to get her corset, which will look absolutely fantastic on her. I'm sure it will leave Mandie...breathless so to speak. So much to look forward to in July! Well thats all for now. See you later. You are amazing, I'm going to stay with you forever Air filter reactivated. Thats the Dumbest Thing I Ever Heard, Man June 14, 11:38 PM Work was pretty good the past couple of days. I'm now really good at driving the hayride and decent at driving the train. On Monday I helped collect garbage and also weedeated around a few areas in the park. It was really not a bad day and I'm glad it went well. On Tuesday I got to see Mandie. I got her a bouquet of 20 roses, at least I think there was 20, and she really liked them a lot (but had trouble finding a vase big enough for them). Unfortunately Jonah was dissapointed when he found out they weren't for him. After that I went for a ride with Mandie in her new car, a Chevy Malibu. It's super smooth and has a V6 engine with a 4-speed automatic tranny. We drove to Video Warehouse and Mandie picked up The Island for 6 bucks. Pretty good deal if you ask me. We stopped at Sheetz and I got a Jr. Meatball sub, made specailly for me by my sister who now works there. It was good, I ate it as we watched the movie back at my house, which was really good as well. After the movie we ate diner. We tried to go in the pool too, but it was too cold out for that. Before long it was time for Mandie to go home, so I took her back, and came home and went to sleep. Today I got up around 11:30 and ate lunch. Then, I went outside to thoroughly wash and wax my car, which took about 3 hours. I think it was worth every second, now the car looks awesome. When I was done with that, it was time to eat again, and luckily my mom had just got home with some walmart chicken and fries. When I was done with dinner I cleaned the recroom, then played video games until about quarter till 11. I came downstairs and got online to talk to Mandie and also to analyze my options for her new shoes. I have narrowed it down to the following choices: ![]() This was the very first one I considered. Its very professional looking, like a woman might wear it with a business suit of some kind. She would also have to be a professional in walking with heels to balance on these ones. ![]() Same shoe, different material. I like the shinyness, but the duller ones are probably more durable. ![]() I really like these ones because they have the little ankle strap, which will help Mandie keep them on her feet. Her five inch heels have a strap too, so this would be the next logical step. ![]() These ones have a double strap, but I don't really think that would be necessary. They make the shoes look a little too busy as well. ![]() I really like these ones. The bottom part will still work with Mandie's foot, and the sides are left bare which looks really sexy. It even has the strap too. Thats it for now, see you later. Each of the roses represents my infinite love for you, I will never leave your side. You are in the lead! Chemically Induced Mix June 10, 9:31 PM Today was a great day. I woke up around 8 am and got ready for work. My mom wasn't up yet so my dad made me a couple sandwiches to take to work with me. I threw in some cookies, pretzels, and crackers, and I was off. I got there before everyone else again and sat in the car till Brian showed up. I talked to him for a while and before long, Mark came and unlocked the office for us. A few minutes later Mike and Scott came too. Mike and I collected garbage from around the park, and Scott and Brian cleaned bathrooms. After we were done with that, Mark told us we got done so fast that we could go home for lunch if we wanted. I did exactly that, and got back to work around noon. From about 1 till 5 I helped run the hayrides with Mike. Then we were done, so we closed the rides and went home. When I got home I ordered for everyone from 6pack, and went with my mom to pick it up. On my way there, we talked about how much she hates living here, how much she hates everyone else that lives here, and how much of an embarrassment my cousin is to the family for getting jailed. To top it off, 6pack got our order wrong. After I ate, I updated my wishlist on Gamespot. Theres 50-some games on it now, mostly Super Nintendo. That Super NES is one of the best consoles ever, it has so many great games on it I can't even count them. Mandie got her first paycheck today, and lets just say shes pretty happy about it. She hasn't been able to find a new, full-time job yet, but I wish her luck. See you tomorrow. I love you so very much, everything I do is for you One Up! Your Forces are Obliterated June 9, 10:15 PM This has been a pretty great week. Work has been going really well. Now I know how to drive each of the vehicles we have, which include a ford F-250, a chevy suburban, two tractors, and two riding lawnmowers. Each one is a little bit different, but I am getting used to each one quickly. Last weekend, there were so few people in the park that me and the rest of the workers there played Halo 2 for about 3 hours on Saturday. Nothing like getting paid to play video games. On Tuesday, I hung out with Mandie at my house. It was nice to relax with each other and just not have to do anything that day. Wednesday I saw her again, and we went to see Mission Impossible 3 at Westwood Plaza. I thought the movie was great the whole way through, but Mandie hated the ending. Said it was too corny for her. Afterwards we ate pizza and didn't part ways until midnight. Today at work I helped throw out all the garbage from all over the park and pick up litter. I also cleaned out the train station, and just yesterday I and the other workers were told that we work too hard. Did I mention this place was laid back? I even got my first paycheck today, which was $170, after barely a week of work. I love that place. I even learned something new about automatic transmissions today. You can still drive with them even if your gear shift is stuck halfway between the D and 3rd gear. I did that accidently today, which caused my check engine light to come on. It went off after I clicked the shifter into the right place though. I got my room cleaned up yesterday as well, so now it looks and smells better than it did. I got some really bad news today too though, apparently my cousin was sent to jail due to drug use and possesion charges. Her dad's car was also impounded. I doubt I'll see much of her ever again. I'm gonna try to keep this updated better, until then, see you later. I love you so much cupcake, see you soon! Never eat a dead mushroom. Electric Toenail June 1, 9:45 PM Wow things have been very busy! In my last entry I talked of McD, that wonderful restaurant everyone loves but won't admit it. After my first week there, things got a lot better. I made some new friends, and learned how to move really quickly. They even put me in charge of running the assembly line a few times, and I was told that I was "amazing" at keeping up with orders on the grill. However, all decent things must end quickly. I was offered a job back at home at a county park as summer help, and after figuring out that I would end up making more money if I took that job instead of staying at McD, I put in my notice that Saturday, May 27th would be my last day. They didn't even expect me to show up on saturday, but I did, and it just happened to be one of the busiest days I had ever seen there. Of course they were rediculously shorthanded too due to 10 people getting fired the day before (?!) and I had to stay an hour late my last day. When I was finally done, I came back to the apartment, packed up with my parents help, and left town. Wednesday, May 31st was my first day of work at the park. It is great there. I work 8am to 4pm five days a week, get an hour paid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks. nothing like McD where you are lucky to get a half hour break and it isn't paid. So far, I've been weed eating and mowing, which is great. I'm tired at the end of the day, but it's so much better than McD. The people that work there are decent too, and one of them even worked nights at McD just like me. I also saw Mandie a couple times in between jobs. Last night, we went in the pool, but onlt for a very short time since it started thundering. Mandie barely got halfway in before we had to leave. We all had 6-pack for dinner too and it was really good. Mandie helped me eat the garbage fries, which I knew she would. I had to take her home early though because I was ready to collapse from tiredness. Thats all for now, see you later. I love you so much, hun. Nothing can break us apart. I can't reach the construction site. Flattened Lottery Ticket May 11, 10:11 PM The past couple of days have been pretty hard. Im still getting the hang of things at McD. Making food quickly is very difficult, but I think I am getting better at it. Today I was moving faster than one of the other crew members, but the McD veterans went so quickly I couldn't imagine how it was even possible. I worked 5-10 yesterday and 11-7 today. The hours are long but I need them. This weekend I am off Saturday and Sunday, so I'll be home for Mother's day and Allison's birthday. Mandie also started her job on Wednesday. It's going okay for her and she seems to like it. Her class also isn't really a problem, and looks like it's going okay too. Unfortunately, she has been very upset over the past few days and needs some space and time to herself. She asked me not to talk to her today and I respect that. Thats all for now, working 2-10 tomorrow so Ill let you all know how it goes. I love you cupcake, you are everything. Such speed!! Furious Big Macs May 10, 1:43 AM Missed a day but I'm making up for it now. Yesterday was my first official day of work. I went into the McD and found out that I would be doing more procedural learning. I was in the computer room for three and a half hours learning how to cook everything that is cooked on the grill, and also safety/security procedures. When I was done with that I was suppossed to be physically trained on the grill, but they were too busy to do that on that night so I was sent home early. Later on I hung out with Will and played some video games. Today I had a few things to do. First I went to the bank to get some money for my car. Then I went up to the Walmart with a tire and lube, avoiding a car accident scene on the way, and signed in to have my oil changed. I hung out there for almost an hour, picking up some black socks and deoderant on the way. When my car was finished I drove back to the appartment, and played Civilization until it was time for work. When I got to work I found out I would be actually doing some work, so I met Matt, Andy, and Josh, who would show me how to work the fryers and assemble sandwiches. That is what I did for 4 hours. It was really hard at first, you have to go extremely fast and you don't even have any time to think. I had to learn how to assemble each sandwich that was ordered, but thankfully I had a lot of help on the way. I only made a couple mistakes, and two of the crew members said I was doing really well for a noob. After that was over, I came back to the apartment, washed my uniforms, and talked to Mandie for a while. After that, I tried to iron my shirts even though I don't have an ironing board. It did not go well and I think I'll be at the store tomorrow to get a board for myself. Thats all for today. All my love to you, Cupcake. Upgrade to Musketman for 120 gold? No, you're a towel May 8, 2:13 AM Today was a very busy day. I woke up around 8:30 to go to early Mass with the family. It was boring as always, and not only that, but the flowers that were set up there in front of the altar were all wilted and dying. It looked great. After church we all went to a diner for breakfast. I got the breakfast special, which was sausage, eggs, toast, and potatos. It was really good and we hung out there for a while. After the diner we had some shopping to do so we went to walmart. It was busy, and for some reason the managers decided to restock all the shelves at that time as well. Morons. When we were done shopping, it was back to the house for more work. I helped my sister clean up those dead flowers at the church, since noone else was doing it, and then I helped my dad take stuff to and bring stuff back from the church for the auction, and after that I also helped him get rid of an old freezer that was sitting in my pap's backyard. When that was all finally done I took a break and played some Civilization until it was time for dinner. My mom made a new shrimp dish that was very good. We had potatos and pasta with it too. After dinner I just hung out around the house, and towards the end of the day I got online to talk to my cupcake. She is starting her summer calculus class tomorrow, and I wish her luck in that. Shes also starting a new job on Wednesday so I hope that goes well for her too. Speaking of jobs, I start mine this evening at 5 pm. I'm pretty nervous about it, but I'm just going to try my best and follow the manager's instructions the best I can. I know I shouldn't be nervous, all it is is flipping burgers and running a register, but it's a new kind of job that I've never really had before. Oh well. That's it for today. I love you very much. Good luck in your new class, I know you'll do well. Where's the remote? Yes, he's in there May 7, 3:27 AM Today I woke up around 12:30 in the afternoon, after trying unsuccessfully to get up at 7:30 and again at 10:30. I packed up what I would need at home and left for McD. I had to wait 45 minutes for someone at McD to tell me what my schedule was, since I picked the exact right time to go in when they were getting hammered. Oh well. I got home around 3 and played Civilization after I unloaded the car and talked to the family for a while. Chicken soup was for dinner, and after that I helped my dad cut grass around the house. Then I picked up Mandie, and we saw Scary Movie 4. Not a bad movie, but not great either. It had its funny parts. After the movie, Mandie and I hung out at her house for a while and watched Saw 2. It was awesome. By the time it was over though, it was 1:30 in the morning. I had to get home, so I left after saying goodbye. Thats all for now folks, I have to go to early mass tomorrow. I love you more than anything, cupcake. You are the most beautiful woman on the planet. Civil Disorder in Athens. It's all over May 6, 12:07 AM Well, this is it. I am done with all my finals and I'm ready to start the summer. Instead of trying to recount every day chronologically, I'm going to summarize every major facet of my life in the past month. First, school. The last month of school was a little disorganized but very productive. In Psych 201W, I turned in my major research proposal and got a 96% on it. It took me two full days to write, which for me is ludicrous. I poured a lot of energy into that thing, energy that could have been going into gaming, but I pulled through it and came out on top. Psych 438 was put off until the very end. I had to write three more experiential exercises and also take the final which I didn't start studying for until the day before it happened. I probably shouldn't have done that, but the final didn't seem too difficult so it was good enough. I'm anxious to see what grade I got in there. Biology was very easy in the last month. I helped out Amy when I could, and we both earned As. I liked biology because there was very little homework besides reading, which is my Chief Strategy of Learning. There were only two papers to write for the whole semester, and everything else was just reading. Anthropology was another class much like Biology, lots of reading, little homework otherwise. Geoscience was an interesting case. I did so well in there that the professor tried to persuade me to switch majors into the Earth Sciences. I said no thanks, but I should definately be getting an A in there. So far I got two of my grades back, Bio and Psych 201W, both As. Psych 494, also known as The Research Lab, had its last meeting last week on Friday. I presented the results we found by analyzing our data, and we found that the end-state comfort effect IS in fact diminished by walking, but only if the person has to place something on a low shelf. The lab director loved our findings, so I am confident that I will get an A for that too. He brought us all Chinese food to eat, apparently it is a tradition. Here's a picture of everyone: Next, my for-profit website. As of about April 12th or so, it was shut down. I did not make any money off of it and it failed to attract any visitors. I guess people just don't care to look at bulletin boards. What seemed like a good idea ended up being a waste of time. I kept one of my original fliers as a souvenier. Oh well, on to the next crazy money-making scheme. Now I'll talk about Mandie. We celebrated our two year (!) anniversary on April 9th. We each got the other a small gift to celebrate the occasion. We havent gone on a real date in a long time because of school, but that is going to change starting today. However, she did have a lot of meal points to burn off in the last two weeks of school, so she and I blasted through about $120 worth of food in a week and a half. It wasn't easy, but damn was it good. Especailly the Chinese. I helped her pack for the trip home today, and her dad treated us both to a dinner at Hosses. That was extremely good too. At the end of the day, it was time for Mandie to say goodbye to college for the summer, and she went back home after dropping me off at the apartment. Which leads me to my next facet, dealing with why in the hell I'm not home yet. I got a job at a local fast food place flipping burgers for $7 an hour. Pretty sweet money for what the job is, and it's almost $2 more per hour than anything I would make back home. And also, it's DAYTIME hours thank God. So that's why I'm staying here for the summer. I applied at a bunch of different places, but only one hired me. One is all I need. Many other things happened in the last month, Like Mandie cooking dinner for me, hanging out with Will to watch anime, and getting Ace Combat 5 and the King Kong movie on DVD. I will really try to keep this thing updated a little more regularly, but I might need periodical friendly reminders from certain people. And thats all he wrote for the month in review. I'll always love you and I'll always be with you, cupcake. I like getting checks in the mail. |
