Just call them Buckets
December 15, 12:55 AM

Yessss, Almost all of my classes are done now. I only have one more astronomy class to go to and then it's all over. Only thing left will be finals.

So during this past week I went and spoke to my advisor about double majoring, and extending my college stay in an oh so Van Wilder-esque way. "It's funny you should mention him," my advisor said, "sometimes we get people that don't finish for 12-15 years." I think by that point you have blown past Van Wilder and landed right in Totally Insane territory there folks.

Anyway, I was really interested in adding a major to my curriculum, possibly Marketing or Business Management. That was until my advisor told me that the business college doesn't allow that. WTF, I asked. She said that they only accept you if you come to them as a freshman. WTF, I further pondered. Oh well, that idea was shot down. It turns out that if I want to do that, I'd be better off finishing college on time and them going on to get an MBA. So be it, I figure. At least this way I can actually start making money and stop being so damn poor.

Classes wrapped up rather nicely. I got my massive Econ project back, the one I had to work with three other people on. 82%. I think we deserve more than that. Also, I had the Marketing final today. It was really easy, even though I barely studied for it.

After that test, I walked back to my apartment. On the way back, I thought a lot about my situation in my life right now. I have several options.

1. Graduate this May and begin work. Forget about any additional school.
2. Do not graduate this May and stay on for another 2, 4, or even 6 semesters to double major in something else.
3. Graduate this May and begin work. Continue search for Graduate School opportunities.

I think option 3 is the best. At this point, I look back on what I did with my college career. Could I have done more? Could I have done better? The answer to those questions is probably yes. But I did do a lot of good things and I did get a lot of good grades. Thats what is important.

Will is having a party over at his place this Saturday. I'm taking Mandie with me, so I'll let you all know how that goes too.

That was about the whole story for today folks. See ya.

I love you so very much darling, you are the only one for me

Prepare yourself! Or die...

No, It Really Pwnz.
December 11, 11:28 PM

So yeah. I deleted my previous post because it was unbecoming of this fine establishment. A little too dark and dreary. Okay, a LOT too dark and dreary. Here's whats really going on.

I'll start with school. So, I've been up to my typical stuff of missing a class here and there due to sleeping in, but still managing to pull off great test scores. In fact, my latest Astronomy exam was a 96%, where the class average was a 66%. I had my last BBH exam today too, finishing off the class. It wasn't too bad either.

But enough of the boring stuff. This being the end of the semester and all, I figured I'd do an end of the semester class evaluation. Here is goes.

PSY 231 - ALMOST TOTALLY WORTHLESS. I learned practically nothing in here. This was a prereq for another class I'm taking next semester...will it be equally worthless?

PSY 441 - A little better than 231, but not by a lot. I wanted to see equations and scientific theories and some HARDCORE NUMBERS I could use that relate a persons's intelligence, outgoingness, background, etc. to figure out how well they would work in an organization. Apparently nothing like that exists, and instead I get mostly bullshit. They even call it bullshit in the class. Why are you teaching it then?!

Astronomy 001 - My favorite class this semester. It was so nice to just go in there and sit down, and listen to the guy just talk about stars for an hour. My interests in astronomy helped me immensely in this class, and I regularly score FAR above the class average on everything. It was a very interesting class, and I'm taking a black hole class next semester too.

BBH 101 - One of my more practical classes. It was basically a class about drug and alcohol abuse, excessive tanning, causes of heart attacks, and the behavioral components that cause them. There was some good info in there, but I knew a lot of it already. Pretty average class.

Econ 004 - Okay, I really wanted to like this class. It's inherently interesting to me. Economics is a very important topic in the world today. But, the guy that taught it had two major problems. One, he went ENTIRELY TOO FUCKING FAST. Goddamn, I could barely keep up with this guy! Every class was exausting. Two, he made us buy a $100 textbook that we NEVER USED. Ugh. Other than that, I think I learned a thing or two about Economics.

MKTG 221 - Intro to Marketing. Very interesting, I'd say this class ranked at number two this semester. The guy that taught it was very knowledgable about stuff and I liked the class. Sat up front every time I could.

Cognitive Lab - Yeah, I stuck around for the whole semester. Robrecht told me that with the new subjects we ran in the original experiment, our findings are now significant, which means publish time. Nobel prizes all around, people.

I'm expecting this to be another A and B semester across the board. Not bad for the 7th semester if I do say so myself.

Next I'll talk about Mandie, the apple in my pie, the sun in my sky. She's amazing folks. Let me tell you, when you find a girl that says she doesn't care if you spend extra time doing your favorite hobbies instead of doing something with her, you know you got someone special. I spend lots and lots of time with Mandie and it is so much fun. We have really gotten into board gaming with each other and even some more video gaming too. Things are wonderful and I even spent part of thanksgiving with her. I'll be seeing her this christmas too which is really exciting because we have actually never been able to spend a Christmas together.
I saw her today for lunch as well and we bought tickets to see one of our favorite comedians, Ron White, live. It should be loads of fun!

This week I'm going to see my advisor about dual majoring. I'll be in school a bit longer but it will make me more versatile (and more valuble $$$)

In other news, my dad got a 9 point buck during hunting season this year. We are all really excited and can't wait to eat it. Its a beautiful buck and he's probably going to have it's head mounted right next to the first one. Nice job, dad.

Thats about all I've got for now. See you later.

I love you so very much, more than anything else, you are everything to me and I will always love you!

"Hey, if he was mad at us, he would have thrown it this way..."

Test Videos
October 24, 1:55 AM

Welcome to another edition of the Daily (Monthly) Columbian. It's been a great couple of weeks, here's whats up.

So I took the GREs on October 6th. When I went in there, the first thing they asked me was how I prepared for the test. They gave me a bunch of choices like Took GRE class, took practice exam, bought books, GRE workshops, and waaay at the bottom was "Did not prepare". I looked at all of those choices and thought to myself, "Should I have prepared for this?" I checked Did Not Prepare and began the test.

The first thing they hit me with was the Writing section. I had never taken a standardized writing test before. I was one of the last students to take the old SAT that didn't have it, so this was totally new to me. There were two essays. In the first, I was asked to take a stand on a debate topic, and defend my view using rational statements, logic, and research examples if possible. I looked at that first question (it had something to do with whether visual or language communication was better) and...just looked at it. "How the fuck am I going to answer this?" I thought. After a couple minutes, I feverishly wrote away. I took all the experience I aquired arguing on internet message boards like KVS and in gamefaqs, in classes, in real life arguments, and everything. I wrote and wrote until time ran out. Then it was time for the next essay. In this one, I had to read an argument, and comment on whether it was a good argument or not, by looking for logical fallacies and other such things. I thanked God that I took that logic class back in my sophomore year, and applied everything I learned to that essay. When I was done there, I took the Math and Verbal sections.

The math section came first. It was almost ALL min/max problems, which I hadn't done in ages. After that was the Verbal section, including the infamous analogies that use words noone has used in 50 years. Finally came the optional Research section. I did it because if you got a high score there, you won a $200 prize, and it didnt count towards your score. When it was all over, I immediately got my math and verbal score, which was an 1120/1600. Not bad for someone who didn't prepare at all! I was told my writing section would take a few weeks to score and would be sent separately. All in all, it took about 4 hours. I walked back outside to find a parking ticket on my car, courtesy of the local police, and drove home.

While I'm on the topic of Grad school stuff, I'll say that I have secured two (yes two) letters of recommendation! One of them is from an instructor I had as a sophomore, and the other is from the head of the lab I work in. Both of them will prove to be excellent letters, I'm sure. Also, tomorrow I will be attending a Personal Statement workshop to prepare me to write what I think is the weirdest part of the whole Grad school application process. Joe, one of the lab workers, told me that personal statements are extremely important, so I better be able to BS a good one. The last few weeks classwise were pretty good. I'm still getting good scores on all the exams and homeworks. Astro continues to be very interesting. Speaking of which, I had to sign up to take a black hole course next semester in place of the space colonization class, which was canceled. I have no idea why they did that, I was really disappointed. So now I'm set up for my last semester...I just can't believe it. It all went so fast. Sometimes it feels like I've been in college for only a little while, but when I really sit down and think about it, I realize I've been a college student forever. I'll miss having Mandie around all the time, she even changed her schedule so it matches up better with mine. Do I have the best girlfriend in the world? I think I do, folks.

Mandie has been making even more progress in her corsets and heels. In fact, she even insisted that she begin sleeping in her corset, and has become very good at lacing herself in, without any outside help! She also wears it more frequently, since she learned how to get into it herself, which is very good. We have talked about getting her next one, which promises to make her current one look tame by comparison.

We have decided that her next corset will be longer, tighter, and much, much stiffer. We are looking at some that are 18 inches long, which would be enough to completely cover her from above the bust down to her hips. We also want one that has an 18 inch waist, down 4 inches from her current 22. Finally, we want one with extra close boning and a reinforced busk, which would make it extremely rigid. It would be nearly impossible to sit in without a lot of support from a good, non-reclining backed chair, not to mention breathing will take quite a bit of getting used to. She also continues to get better and better in her 6 inch heels. Hard surfaces still give her a lot of trouble though, she says they dont give her ankles any room to get comfortable. With practice, I'm sure she'll be walking around downtown without any trouble at all soon.

Over this past weekend, my family came up to go with Mandie and I to the football game. Yes, I went to a football game. Got really good seats too. Unfortunately, Mandie had a really hard time seeing over people in front of her. We won, and it was a really good time. Mandie, myself, and my family all enjoyed it. After the game, Allison picked us up in the Sunfire and we all went to get pizza. It was really good, and that night Mandie and I spent watching the Bourne Identity and playing Uno. Sunday was a lot of fun too, we finished our Uno game and went to sheetz, and also watched some movies.

And now to what happened today. I went to my astronomy class to listen to the weird but nice professor talk about star formation today. It's very relaxing to go to that class. It's all material I am very familiar with already, but learning something new here and there along the way keeps it interesting. He even managed to work a biblical reference into the lecture today. "Star formation goes from interstellar cloud, to star, to burnout, back to cloud. Just like ashes to ashes, dust to dust." I thought it was really funny.

After that, I went down tot he hub to get my usual lunch of a hamburger, fries, and Dr. Pepper. I ate pretty slowly while reading the paper. Its kind of strange how you can just get sucked into a story. While I'm reading the paper, nothing else outside of where my food is even registers. It's a nice, comfy feeling. It must come to an end though, and it did around 2, when I went back up to my classroom, and this time it was for BBH.

In BBH today, we debated the drinking age topic. Even as a 22 year old, I think the 21 year age requirment is baseless and stupid. If you are mature enough to smoke, sign contracts, vote, and serve in the military, you are mature enough to drink. We should lower the age at least to 18 and be done with this debate.

After class, I went up to the lab for the meeting. Eric couldn't make it due to being stranded in Maryland. I, however, helped Joe make a test video to test his tracking software, and came up with plans for how to build the apparatus we need for the experiment. I would call that a very productive day.

When I got home, I ate, played some video games, and worked out. I did 35 minutes on the elliptical today, and I saw that the new treadmills are up and running. When I got back, I showered and facebooked for a while.

Well, I think thats the end of this massive update. Hope you enjoyed it.

I love you so very much, I want to brighten every day of your life <3<3<3

This fool is taking me on!

Argh!
October 4, 1:44 AM

Holy hell. I promised I wouldnt go so long without updating but it looks like I did it again.

The first...four weeks of school have flown by, incredibly fast. I joined a Dance Dance Revolution club that turned out to suck but hey, I gave it a shot. I'm smack in the middle of my first battery of exams, and speaking of exams, I signed up to take the GREs at IUP this Friday. My graduate career is well on track if I do say so myself.

All of my classes are progressing smoothly, none of them are very hard. My astronomy class, while very interesting to me, puts Mandie to sleep. I'll never understand how someone can think of stars and planets as boring. I even drew a picture of the solar system which Mandie can use as a sleep aid. Geez.

I had my 22nd birthday on the 1st. Yep, 22 years old now. An aging Gen Y'er. I'm an old man now. From here on out, birthdays are things to dread instead of look forward to, hahah. Mandie got me the Clerks cartoon and Ace Combat Zero, both of which are extremely enjoyable. My parents got me a hardcover edition of The Authoritative Calvin and Hobbes, Megaman X7, Final Fantasy 10 (which doesn't work), and Ace Combat Zero. So yeah, they had to take one back to the store and I don't know what to do with Final Fantasy.

I also made an important realization. Lately I've been regretting my psychology major, but I realized that no matter what I choose to do, I'll hate something about it. Everything in the world is like that, and I need to stop looking for majors/careers that are fun all the time. They just don't exist. So I am once again happy with my Psych major, and I'm sure I'll do great things with it.

In the girlfriend department, Mandie is making great strides with her corset. She can wear it closed (a 5 inch reduction) for about four hours now before it gets to be too much for her. She can wear it just an inch or two looser all day though, so I am very excited about what the future holds for my favorite tightlacer. Her new heels also become more manageable every time she practices, as now she can walk around without falling over in them.

Thats it for now, see you later.

I love you so much, cupcake. Everything is perfect when I'm with you.

C'mon!!

Multiple work orders
September 5, 11:41 PM

Wow, has it been a busy couple of days!

On the 3rd, I finished packing up and headed off to school. But first, we had to pick up Allison on the way there so she could help me with my move-in. When we got to my apartment, I noticed that my lock had been changed. All of my stuff was piled next to the door with no way for me to get in. Noone had notified me or anything, which is great since I'm paying rent and all. I went down to the office visibly pissed off and demanded to know why my locks had been changed with no notification. I was told that fliers had been posted on the door a week before. Well, thats GREAT, since I havent BEEN HERE for THREE MONTHS! Idiots. I did get it sorted out though, and also got my new parking pass and temporary bus pass. I got all my stuff moved in, and then spent some time with Mandie. Before long, the day was over, and it was time for Labor Day vacation.

The 4th was a day of relaxation. I spent all of this day with Mandie, in the apartment except for a brief trip to Wally World. I tried to make my famous hot salad, but it came out looking like vomit instead. I can't figure out what I screwed up, but Mandie thinks I used too much oil to lubricate the pan. Thats probably it. I almost finshed unpacking, then took Mandie home so we could both prepare for today, the first day of class.

Today was a strange day for me. On my way out the door I realized I had not printed out a sylabus for the one of my classes, so on my way to my first class I rushed into one of the computer labs to print the stupid thing out. Great, starting out the semester by falling flat on my disorganized face. I made it to my first class, then my second, third, and fouth one too. In between the third and fourth one, I stopped in to check out the student activity fair. I only walked through to see what was there, and I plan on going through it again with Mandie to really check everything out. A lot of the clubs were minority organizations, like Black Engineers club, Asian this, Hispanic that. It was a big turnoff for a white guy like me, So I'm going to start the White club. Our slogan will be, "Because the Majority Rules". I'll probably be shot, but it's proving a point, which is that just because I'm not a minority doesn't mean I cant have a race-specific club. We'll have polish night and eat perogies, Irish night and drink beer, and just go through all the different countries that White people came from. Take that, minorities. Sticking it to little brother.

Anyway, I have a shitload of books to buy tomorrow, poster sales to check out, clubs to join, printers and phones to fix, and homework to do. See you soon!

I love you so much, more than anything in the world, babe!

The French have decided they cannot win the battle, and are pissing their pants.

I can't see anything
September 2, 11:54 PM

Wow, I missed a whole month and then some! It seems like I always start these entries by marveling at how long it's been since the last update, but this time I think I've broken a record!

August came and went by incredibly fast. I'll start by talking about Mandie. She and I spent a lot of time together last month, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I really feel like she's my other half. We watched National Lampoons quest for the Holy Grail the other night, and she enjoyed it quite a bit. We saw a few other movies like the new Willy Wonka movie and Troy, and we also went to Main Moon, one of our favorite restaurants, recently. I also have her totally hooked on Medieval Total War, and she is getting better and better at it. I like to coach her through the game when I can, but soon im sure she will develop her own style of play. I can't wait to face her in battle, hahaha. We also have to find the Viking Invasion expansion so she can play as the Irish. Everything is going really well and I can't wait to see her tomorrow at school. Her corset will arrive on September 6th, and I am beside myself with excitement to get it and lace her into it. It's a 22 inch corset and we plan to get her all the way down to the 22 inches and beyond! We are also talking about getting her another pair of 6 inch heels, ones with an even thinner heel, so it's like a pencil point instead of pencil erasers. I don't know how she can walk at all, but damn she does it well.

My last day of work was yesterday, and it was the end of what was definately my favorite job I've had so far. John, my boss, gave me excellent ratings on my employee evaluation and recommended me to come back and work next year if I want to. I had a lot of fun working with the guys, cutting grass, running the rides, cutting up trees, and that kind of stuff. Learning how to use all of that equipment was lots of fun too, and fun to use. I especailly liked the Dixon tractor, which was like a go-kart with a lawnmower deck attached. I was also told that this season was a good one for injuries, with only two near-deaths. The first one was when I almost killed Sean by hitting a rock with a lawnmower, which caused the rock to shoot out of it like it was coming out of a cannon. It almost took off his head. The other one was when Brian almost fell into the dam spillway while on the Dixon. I was told it would have fell on top of him if he did fall. It's a good thing it didn't, because Brian is a really cool guy. There were many times when we would talk about politics, religion, the state of the nation, and so forth while we were working. He's going to be in town a lot this school year so we're going to hang out there too. I liked everyone that worked there and will definately return next year if I don't find a psychology-related job.

Which leads me to my next topic, my career in psychology. I had a productive summer in researching grad schools, and I have Old Dominion and The University of New Haven in mind. Both have excellent I/O programs, and I'll want to schedule a visit at each to see what they are like. New Haven seems to have a concentrated I/O program, but my professor recommended Old Dominion, so I'll have to see what each is like. Penn State has a really good program too, and I want to try to get into that. All the other schools I looked at either didn't offer an I/O program, offered one I felt was subpar, or were located in a big city. I would hate living in a big city, I need the woods, and lots of them. Good thing I have that at my current school! I can't wait to get back to school and see Mandie and my friends, which is what I was preparing for today.

I woke up this afternoon around 1, which was really nice. I spent the first part of the day playing as the Hungarians in Medieval Total War, and it got to the point where it was practically just me and France left, with both of us having about an equal amount of land. We were both huge empires with thousands of soldiers, but France had the upper hand because they were of superior quality. I knew my only hope was for a massive civil war in France, so I tried to build myself up before the inevitable happened, and in a couple years the French attacked me with the full force of their entire empire! Even though I had them outnumbered, they slaughtered thousands of my best troops because even my best ones were shit compared to them. I thought it was all over, but then suddenly the Spanish reappeared in a big way, and instantly took 8 of France's provinces! France scambled to retake them, and I used Spain's huge distraction to take 3 more of theirs. The sudden loss of land plunged them into an enormous civil war that devestated their country. Right after that, the Italians and the Egyptians both reappeared in the same turn, taking one province each. Italy took Crete I think and Egypt took, you guessed it, Egypt. This is the point where I left off, so what happens next will be quite interesting!

After I was done playing, I ate dinner and really got started packing. To name a few things, I'm taking almost all of my clothes, my Gameboy, Gamecube, and Ps2. Im also taking a bunch of PC games with me. I have a feeling this year is going to be even better than last year, and I can't wait to see how my senior year of college pans out. I know it's going to be crazy busy career wise, with GREs, applications, and internships, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Also, I'm going to start running every day again and might be joining a gym with Brad to get some serious help in the body department. Should be lots of fun!

Thats about it for me now, I'll update tomorrow with all the details of my move-in.

I love you so very much cupcake, see you tomorrow! <3<3<3

The Program has performed an illegal operation.

Nice Haircut
July 29, 12:54 AM

Holy Christwagons, where do I begin?

July 5th through 8th was my family vacation with Mandie. We went down to the beach and had a drop-dead excellent time. I especailly enjoyed laying on the beach with my cupcake, drinking Dr. Pepper and reading national geographic. Its like a tradition that I have to read that on the beach every time I'm there. Our last night there was also amazing, Mandie and I ate funnel cake while visiting each arcade to play the pinball machines and arcade games. It was one of the best dates we ever had.

Of course, these things have to come to an end, and July 8th came all too quickly. On the way home I played gameboy while Mandie looked on. I got farther than ever before in Fortress of Fear and in Castlevania Adventure, both of which are extremely difficult games.

Over the next few weeks, I have been working hard and so has Mandie. She has been getting more and more hours at her job because everyone else is quitting. I still wish she didn't have to go all the way to Altoona to work though.

Also, I helped Mandie order her 6 inch pumps and corset this month as well. Such a high heel would pose an impossible challenge to most normal women, but it should be little problem for a heel expert like Mandie. In fact, she wore her 5 inch pumps for 10 straight hours this past Tuesday, and she got so used to them that it was difficult for her to walk without them for a while. Her corset will measure with a 22 inch waist when fully closed, which is tiny. I am considering lowering our final goal to 15 inches though, so I can completely wrap my hands around her waist. Should be lots of fun!

Work has been getting pretty monotonous lately. I don't know how John, my boss, has withstanded that place for 28 years. 28 years in a park! Thats too long. The train ride derailed a while ago though and it still hasn't been fixed...it can stay broken, I say. That thing will forever be a piece of shit. And speaking of POSes, our dump truck broke down on us today, to the point where we had to tow it back to the office with our tractor. Luckily I didn't have to help with that too much.

Well it's late and I'm done typing for now. See you all later!

I love you so much, cupcake. You are the most beautiful woman in the world.

Intendetay!
