I think one of the most under utilized areas of APRS maps is the LABEL file.
 ( At lease on the MAC/WIN APRS side)

The Information is in the doc files but a bit hard to find.

The format is $ - ICON - Color - TEXT - Lon/lat - Range

the format is EXACTLY the same as dosAPRS map
labels in normal map file

A short tutorial might be inorder, but first an example to
show how it can be used to make Marathon mile marks.


Example:

Make a Folder/Directory called LABELS in the root aprs area.

Make the following a text file called MARA.TXT
place it in the LABELS Folder/Directory.

To view you must zoom in to the middle of Dallas TX.
