| WIDE-AREA DIGIPEATERS | Note: All North TX wide area digipeaters utilize the WIDE n-n protocol. Home stations in the metro area: please do not use relay, wide once you know which stations can hear you. Instead, substitute the actual calls or use wide1-1; this will save many redundant relays, and allow for a more efficient network. Mobiles in the metroplex are asked to use wide2-2; this is sufficient to get across the area plus to an Internet gateway. The use of RELAY or WIDE are no longer recommended anywhere in the US. |
