Mooney Caravan to Oshkosh
July 25-26, 1999
The following are some of the pictures Barb & I took at the 2nd annual (1999) Mooney caravan:

The Northeast Region Caravan met at Binghamton, NY. I was the
designated leader of the NE Region. It turned out to be a 2-ship formation!

David Zimmerman in N6751V over northern NY, we're heading for Sandusky, OH,
the first stop of the Northeast Regional Caravan on the way to Madison. I flew
formation while Barb shot the pictures. David navigated, I handled the radios.

In Sandusky, we picked up a couple more planes -
here's Glen MacEwan in N57413. (Hazy over Ohio)

We also picked up Mark Ferrans in his beautifully refurbished N6273U,
which made my Regional Caravan 4 planes, now. On to Madison!

At Madison, greeted by the parking crew, and my group signs in at the FBO.

Pre-takeoff briefings in the hangar, plans A, B, C... (what weather!)
(The camera stamped date is wrong - it's actually the 26th)

Mooneys lined up to take the active at MSN - the Big Launch! I'm in "Golf" group.

The same lineup - looking behind me, engines all running, excitement high!

Released from MSN tower on takeoff roll (bouncy) , our group is launched.

Finally! At Oshkosh - we're cleared to land runway 36. Great weather.

Parking over 70 Mooneys after landing at Oshkosh - what a spectacle!

Tent living next to the plane at the greatest show on earth - isn't life great?!
