Well I had fun operating Straight Key Night (SKN) last night.  It was the first time I participated in it since I'm usually either working or at a party on New Year's Eve.  I had to go to work at 11 PM last night, so no party plans were made.  I decided to dust off my old Bunnell telegraph key and get some practice using a straight key again.  I only made six contacts but enjoyed it.  I wonder if my key was the oldest one on the air last night since it dates from the 1890's.  If not the oldest, then definitely one of the oldest.  I must say, though, that as a straight key the Bunnell key has a great feel to it.  I need to polish the brass again and take a new picture of it for the website.
