I recently completed my BitX20a kit that I bought at Ozarkcon in April. The BitX20a is a 20 meter SSB transceiver kit based on the BitX design by Ashhar Farhan, VU2ESE. I spent the better part of my spare time in June putting together this kit trying to get it finished in time for Field Day. I finished a week in advance which gave me plenty of time to play with it. I'm happy to say that it works great for a 10 Watt transceiver, and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. I managed to do a pretty good job on it and make it look like a professionally-done rig. I hope to put a webpage about it on the site soon.

Field Day is coming up this weekend (June 28th-29th) and I'm all ready to go camping again. I've been looking forward to a relaxing weekend of camping & radio, and like usual I'll be headed to Twin Bridges State Park in NE Oklahoma. I'll now have both CW and 20m SSB capability using the Multiwonder and BitX20a. I just hope the weather holds out because lately we've been having a lot of thunderstorms here in the Midwest.
