Entry for January 21, 2008

This past weekend I managed to hear the special moonbounce experiment from the HAARP facility in Alaska.  I heard the signal on 19 January at 0527 on 6792.5 with the best moonbounce echoes a few minutes later.  I managed to get a good recording and spectrum picture of the echoes.  However, it wasn't long after I had the best echoes that the echoes faded completely, though I could hear the original outgoing signal.  When they changed to 7407.5 at 0600, the signal was completely covered by broadcast interference.  It was an interesting experiment and the first time I've ever heard moonbounce signals.
