We would all live our secret undercover lives to survive until another weekend, when that was school we were good not to be grounded by our parents, when that was work we put our hair in ponytails or under hats and always showed up on payday. We would usually all accumulate at Jays Wall in front of his house on pinebrook drive, our headquarters for party information and point of embarkation on on any clear night with mild weather. We would all get into Jay's Volkswagen Van and make the rounds. 1st stop Treno St. to pick up party favors Jay and I liked May Wine. (Rinehoff) then off to a party or Ward Acres, any place where we might find other like minded individuals to party with. We met a group of girls that seemed to have the same charter, and we did allot of interesting things together. The Items was their preferred group name, I don't remember who came up with it, but it stuck. I was never crazy about it myself personally but it was never anything but a term of endearment. I think our best decade was definitely the 1970's, the 1980's saw times of splintering off to very different strokes for different jokes we played on ourselves. some ending in death itself. most of us survived the real insanity that overtook a few of us. Towards the end of the 1980's as we approached the 1990's we were pretty scattered geographically as well as interactively. So....an Idea!!!! In 1988 we had our first re-union at Donofrio Field with all the trimmings, Food, Live Music, Jamming, Games for our offspring and a Clown to keep'em busy. Plenty of Beer and high spirits! It was one of the best parties we ever hosted, some came from as far as Florida to attend. Zee Box had the affair video taped, someday when I get a capture card for my computer I will add some clips. Chip Bobby Simons brother took a 10 years after group-shot of the original Boys (seen on the homepage) but nobody ever saw any of the pictures. Thats another future additive im seeking.

It is long past the time to start planning another re-union 1998 Ten years after is right around the corner. In Fact since I wrote this page It has Arrived! I heard from Janet Train who told me Jay ws interested in organizing this event! That was in May of 1998, I am still waiting for some action in this endeavor!

If any of the boys honor roll, or someone who remembers us has a story to add to this collection, I would be only Too Happy to include it here, just send it to me attached to an e-mail in HTML format or Plain Text and I will make it a linked page, just e-mail it anyway you can. Guests of this page that would like to comment are also invited to... E-Mail Webmaster Vinny
