I've always loved to draw, since I could remember! My mom could tell you that as a child all I wanted was paper, pens, coloring books, and pencils. I didn't want toys! I have also collected purple pens since I was 7. I have acquired quite a collection. In, 1999 I had my little girl and decided that I wanted to stay home and raise her. I began my search ....I started with crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening, cooking, jewelry making, and so forth. One day I just happened to be doodling on a piece of paper, while I was talking on the phone to a family member. I spent a few hours on it just looking at the picture and making a copy with my eyes on to my doodle paper. The next day, My husband was amazed at how I had just drawn the picture free hand from using my eye off another picture. He then encouraged me to search my passion for drawing. That is when it allll started! I started researching books on drawing...and buying several of them. I spent the next few months just practicing and learning the new techniques I had read. I had always loved to draw but I was more fascinated with the lifelike drawing of photos. I then did a few drawings free for friends. As the word got out, I began to do several portraits for neighbors and friends as commissioned work. Unfortunately drawing hasn't become my full time job yet, maybe some day it will...but for now...I just love doing it whenever I can. Thanks for taking the time to look at my portraits. It truly means alot to me!
