Established in the mid 90', as one of the original crossover
electronic/metalbands. November17 has been many years in the making since they nestled within the heavy underground scene. N17 takes their melodic,aggressive soundscape to new boundaries with tight, heavy guitar riffs, electronic elements and in your face lyrics to meet head-on with intense stomping drums. Being part of the live experience is a sensory assault to the body & mind!
In 96' they signed with Slipdisc/Mercury records in hopes of gaining there ultimate goal in achieving success, only for the label to fold due to lack of experience and changes in the Industry (Seagram's merger). They've released two records; Trust No One and Defy Everything (released in Sept. 99'), which spent over 6 months on top 10 metal radio in North America and voted one of the top 16 best release (by Hit's Magazine). Selling a combination of roughly 20,000 units and playing with bands like Marylin Manson, Ministry, Danzig and Fear Factory, N17 was on It's way to becoming a band who would be known as a force to be reckoned with. Working with friend/producer and top name, Grammy award winner, Neil Kernon (David Bowie, Peter Gabriel and Queensryche.) N17 sonically, has been said that their albums are " way above average in production values, arrangement and general musicality for this genre (Playboy Magazine)."
In fact a N17 song "RUST" was used in a LEVI STRAUSS commercial (April 2000) that is being campaigned worldwide. Also being put on the Fox sports Network, xtreme sports show,"16MM", and having Byron doing some programming for "Todd Mcfarlan's (Spawn)" upcoming Internet animated series, has helped N17 gain a respected reputation.
Currently N17 is an independent act looking for a new home in the Industry. With a barrage of new music, N17 will be touring this summer (2000) across North America for 8 weeks, with hopes of a new release with a new home. N17 has also kept their fans busy with their website, keeping them informed with every step they make and staying active in the Cyber realm which has become
so very important these day's.
