Testimonies On 31 Mar (Sunday),
while on my way back to Hougang with my elderly after the dialect service,
one of the elderly's maid told me that she dreamt about Jesus on Easter
Friday morning. So I asked her whether she wants to receive Jesus into
her life, she agreed. I told her to pray the sinner's prayer with me.
Praise the Lord! She accepted Jesus on the bus home. God works in amazing
ways. Too wonderful for us to comprehend. Amen!! I really want to thank God for what He has done for me. I love Singapore and it has always been my greatest desire to study in this beautiful country. In the hope to further my education here, I applied for a course in a local polytechnic last year but was rejected. I did not give up and try again this year. I prayed and ask God for help. I told God to let me study in Singapore so that I do not need to go through all the troubles of going to other countries. God is indeed
a good God. The Bible says in Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given
to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you".
On the 4th of April, I received the acceptance letter from Singapore Polytechnic
for the course that I desire. Hallelujah! SP has accepted me!!! I am so
thrilled. I thank God once again for His provision. Hi folks, it's great to be back from those MOUNTAINS in Taiwan! Naturally my testimony will be "Surviving the mountains". We were made to scale mountain after mountains for as long as I can remember. The hot climate and the fast walking pace along with those heavy equipments made it all the more discouraging. In the midst of the exercises, most of us have already acquired some form of foot-rot and blisters. These caused our legs to become very painful. Everytime I tried taking out the boots, I felt tremendous pain. But the thought of the coming four days of R&R (Rest & Relax), and post exercise offs keep us going. That hope became our driving force in the midst of weariness. Deep within my heart, God is my hope as an anchor for the soul - firm and secure, so I asked for physical healing and spiritual strength. Amazingly, my blisters were healed before the end of the exercise. In comparison, my friends still struggled with their blisters during the R&R. Sometimes we may find ourselves facing mountain of trials and struggles in life and somehow or rather, we become weary of these ongoing climbing. We become less assertive in our direction leading to insecure. But God is a purposeful God, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future'" (Jer 29:11). So I prayed that we would remain faithful and continue to put our trust in His purpose.
