BEING A "POSSIBILITY THINKER" (Part C)

1. Possibilities must be weighed.

Mt 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Mk 9:23
Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

Lk 17:21
(Jesus:) "...For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."

Deut 30:19
(God:) "...I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live."

2. Priorities must be swayed.

Mt 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Mk 8:36
(Jesus:) "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?"

ADVICE: Always appraise your own power base.

When you have to make a drastic move, you only move from one power base to another stronger new power base.

a. Concept
b. Calendar
c. Character (Character = power!)

Pro 21:28
No one believes a liar, but everyone respects the words of an honest man. (TLB)

d. Connections
e. Cash

Lk 14:28-30
(Jesus:) "For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it; lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.' "

f. Competition

Lk 14:31
(Jesus:) "Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?"

g. Check your flexibility

Mt 6:9-10
(Jesus:) "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

3. Plans must be laid

Pro 16:9 (TLB)
We should make plans - counting on God to direct us.

Always think globally, act locally.

Mt 4:18-19
And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them. "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
