The Soap.....
Doc, K0EVZ: Many thanks for inviting me to be an Elvis. Started out
on 20, but it faded during the last 70 minutes.
Eventually changed to 40 and had a pretty good run. Lots of fun, for
sure, and I plan to be in there next year.
Todd, AG0T: Band conditions were *really* crummy. Only had one QSO on
20m, which was otherwise quite dead.
40m full of DX phone and digital demons. 80m was OK, but few dared
venture down there. Most of the Elvii must
have left the building early. Only bagged two. Still, a diabollically
delightful evening -- much like spending fourhours
on the rack ...
Ron, WB3AAL: Thanks for fun contest. Funny how the 666 number continues throughout my score.
Dave, W0CH: Had a blast in this year's Zombie Shuffle.
Bruce, N7CEE: I operated on the first evening of a 5-day hiking trip.
Conditions seemed good but there just weren't
that many stations around. I wasn't on the air until 1830 local, so
I probably missed a lot of the east coast gang. The
hunt and pounce was fun, though, and the Shuffle sure made the long
night in the tent a bit shorter.
Dave, KG4PUG: This was my first Zombie Shuffle. I had a blast. Got in
about 3 hours. Had fun working 22 statins in
15 states. Scared up 7 contacts on 20, 14 on 80 and only one on 40.
20 died a slow, painful death here at about 10 p.m.,
while 80 was alive up until the witching hour. 40 had some very scary
QRM, so I was too spooked to hang out there
for very long. Looking forward to the next one.
Randy, K7TQ: Sure had a good time until 40m folded up.
Paul, WA9PWP: first time I did a Zombie Shuffle from home QTH, I was
always portable in Minnesota in previous years.
Time corresponds with Hamfest Minnesota in St. Paul today.
