| US Army Corps of Engineers | ||||
| The USACE
is mandated by Congress to provide for flood control & navigation on
the rivers of the United States. In this area the Corps of Engineers control
a vast Mississippi River Lock & Dam system. The District also controls
the Dresden Lock & Dam south to the LaGrange Lock & Dam on the
Illinois River. The lakes at Coralville, Red Rock & Saylorville
are control by the RI District.
While Racom's website lists the Corps as a customer, this is believed to be related to Saylorville Reservoir Rangers on the Polk County Sheriff radio talkgroups. New Information Corps' Rangers have have been heard on RACOM TG 14-084 while in Des Moines, Iowa City, & Rock Island area. TG 14-085 seem to be used at Saylorville for operations. | ||||
