District Seven covers only four counties in Northwestern
Illinois. Bureau and Putnam counties were transfered to District 17 in
the mid 1980's
District Seven is also known as Rock Island State Police.
However the headquarters were moved to the grounds of the old East Moline
State Hospital in the early 1980s.The original Headquarters was on the
grounds of the Black Hawk State Park in Rock Island.
Note: the interchange of I-74 and I-80 in Henry County is known as "the Big X". Note: The patrol areas below are as assigned in the past. There may be changes in the Galesburg area and the Quad-Cities metro area. Listen to Shift announcements generally heard at about 0700, 0800, 1600, 1700 & 2200. |
