most radios are capable of simplex operation on the repeater output. 155.970 SC weigh scales & enforcement
DOT has at least one garage in each county, depending on the state road system. While F1 & F2 are use the most, F3 & F4 are used when an interference problem or busy channels exist. 155.970 is used only at Weigh Scales or by Enforcement Officers. Maintenance trucks ID with the name of the garage and one or two digits. District personnel ID with the District number and two digits. Most of agency has switched to digital. Enforcement Officers use the DPS state radio system and use "T-###" as ID, they drive marked blue Crown Victoria or Caprices with full light-bars on top. They have not been heard on the actual DOT radio system, 155.970 & 155.460 replaces 155.445 & 155.505 in their radios. Repeaters on 151.340 & 151.175 are being licensed in areas of the State. The licenses mention DOT Enforcement as the office of contact. |
