Wounds can cut us very deeply sometimes. Although time alone (coupled with forgiveness) CAN help that process along for us in many cases, it never ceases to amaze me how SOME hurts from the past can suddenly be thrust to the forefront to once again rear their ugly head when we least expect it. For example, I had thought I'd let go of an old hurt a LONG time ago, only to recently come face-to-face with the culprit responsible for causing me that hurt - only to find out that all I REALLY did was bury the hurt deep within, and not in fact LET IT GO completely... all those old emotions brought once again to the surface of my heart and mind, when in reality I would choose to never face them again... I suppose I deceived myself into believing that I had overcome. Truthfully though, I don't know if I ever will. And some things are just THAT WAY. We bury them but don't forget them. I suppose in a way, it's our own defense mechanism that goes into motion to protect ourselves from allowing ourselves to be placed in similar situations again.

healing by the help of time is a step by step progress..We have to bear with it,though it's so difficult hanging on with our loads.

Wounds may heal..but it will leave a scar

I mean we still can think back about it..but the pain is no longer there.
