I can't think of the word that should be in the title for this post. So I chose to call it old sayings. Maybe someone will know the word that should be up there. I don't know if anyone else has heard any of these and please feel free share them with us.

1. Stepping On Toes - means I don't want to hurt your feelings, anger you, or even humilate you but I want you to listen to what I have to say.

2. Walking On Eggshells - means you are in trouble and don't understand the consequences you are about to face.

3. Don't Count Your Chickens Before They Hatch - means don't look for something to happen that may never happen.

4. Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover - means you never know what is on the inside of something until you look.

5. Letting The Cat Out Of The Bag - means you are no good at keeping things quiet or to yourself.

6. Penny For Your Thoughts - means you are curious to know what is one someones mind but it is not worth much.

7. Don't Hold Your Breath - means most likely it is not going to happen so give up.

8. Chip Off The Old Block - means someone is comparing you to someone else or something.

9. Crying Over Spilt Milk -  means you feel bad that it happened and can't let it go.

10. Walk A Mile In My Shoes - means to put yourself in someone elses place for a while.

11. It's On The Tip Of My Tongue - means you know what you want to say but can't think of it at the moment.
