What Does Blogging Mean To You?
What does blogging mean to you? Each of us have our own reason for being here, regardless of whether it is to share with one another, rant, rave, make money, learn and the list could go on forever. Do we like being in control and this is the place to do it? Is this the place you come when you want to escape from the real world? So many reasons and yet I am sitting here thinking of why am I here. I could be doing a million other things but am I? No! Well this is what blogging means to me and the purpose of my being here. First and foremost, I am here to enjoy myself. Thru sharing parts of my world, I hope that it enlightens someones life or even puts a smile upon their face. I am a giver at heart and it makes me feel good when I share with others. Next, I am here to learn, not sure what tho, haha. I have been to numerous sites on here and have spent many hours reading what others have to say. From political issues, recipes, jokes, inspirational, money making, and sharing our daily lives, regardless of whether painful of joyous. We all have the ability to share and want everyone to hear what we have to say. Basically when you think about it, we are here to share and gain knowledge. Don't be afraid to express your views and opinions. If you do not agree with a topic or discussion, there is no reason to try and start an arguement. Just post your opinion and let others do the same. Remember if we all had the same opinion what would we have to talk about! Interact with your fellow bloggers, when you give you get in return. Don't expect them to be on here 24/7 even tho I feel like I am at times. Never degrade or humilate someone, there is a tactful way of doing everything. It goes along with proper etiquette as well as mannerism. Dang, I have strayed away from my topic here somewhat but I just want each of you to realize and think about your purpose for being here. Hopefully I have given you some insight. Take care and happy blogging to you no matter what your reason.

what blogging means to me is this. im here to spread a message and jesus told his apostles and disiples to go out and spread his word to forsake the world and to forsake your mother brother and family for him. that is what im here for so family and friends i will forsake for his name sake if i lose friends while im doing his will then so be it id rather have god and jesus as my family than any other on earth. he can give me eternal life where as my friends could actually drag me into hell.

I really liked your post. I blog to help people in thier daily lives. I hope I inspire them and give them something to think about. I love Angels so I blog about them. I think it is really nice that we can talk to people from all over the world while sitting at our computer. Love and Blessings, AngelBaby --AngelBaby <http://www.yourcaringangels.com>

Thanks for the comment AngelBaby. Yes, I know what you mean by wanting to help others. I am drawn to do the same thing. It is in giving to others we receive our greatest pleasure. Yes, I love angels as well. I find them peaceful and calming. As matter of fact, I collect them, I really like the fiber optic ones. I have always been drawn to inspirational things. I guess it is because I find them so meaningful. Take care and God Bless.

I love the way you always phrase what you say when you write. You simply speak your heart, and it somehow manages to come out like you're speaking directly WITH me! I enjoy that.

I agree with you that we're all here for different reasons. For me personally, they vary depending on the day and what's going on in my life. There are times when I appreciate the social aspect of blogging. There are times when I utilize it as a creative outlet. But mostly, I find that it's very therapeutic for me to use blogging as a form of EXPRESSION. It's my way of saying, "Hey world - I count! I have a voice. I have an opinion." And that stands true, even if nobody reads. It helps me internally to put my thoughts and feelings down in writing. I used to journal on paper, but with the invention of computers, that became obsolete! And with the Internet, blogging has becme much more interactive and fun! So I say - GO FOR IT bloggers! Speak your minds! Speak your hearts! Let the world know that YOU COUNT! --kimbathewhitelioness <http://kimba-the-white-lioness.blogspot.com>

I guess I started blogging because I don't know how NOT to write...might as well share and connect with it. I love the "something new" juxtaposed against the "common experience" aspect that I find in reading the posts of my fellow bloggers. I also get contacted by clients in need of voice-over services on-line. --Heather Dugan <http://heatherdugan.com/blog/>

A lot of wonderful comments, Kimba, I can fully relate to all of your comments, we all want to feel what we say is important, so c'mon folks speak up and tell us what you think. We all are unique in our own ways and we can teach as well as learn from one another. Tim, you have a great sense of humor and wit, which is awesome. Making people smile is a great gift. Keep on doing it. Heather, it is a great feeling when you give something and get something back in return. You are doing it right. As a matter of fact each of us are doing what we enjoy. So keep on trucking and remember to always be true to yourselves.
