It's all about me!
Hawking & Asimov's View

Stephen Hawking: He believes that the universe is time and space by itself. It goes around in a circle forever and ever. It's expanding out like a growing cell, not knowing in the end it will burst or shrink. The universe is about 12 billion years old.

Then we learn that the stars are getting away from each other. How do I know? “Red shifts” occurs. The change in wavelength of light that results from the the source and the receiver of light. The precise definition of the red shift is the increase in the wavelength divided by the original wavelength.

Isaac Asimov: He believes that the universe is a growing bigger and bigger. In fact, if you put a green light at faraway star, it'll come back red light next time around. It's because the waves get longer way to return to you. It's getting further away than before. Then when I travel to the star... no fear, you will grow bigger along with the universe.

So, what does it say about me?

So the universe is best described as a body. It is like a body of me in a super scale. But what am I in the "body" of our universe? Am I a cell or a bone, or am I the waste waiting to be passed?
