GED Talk
I am a GED teacher. Come here to read about all things GED.
Entry for July 2, 2007

Any ABE class is composed of separate individuals with a myriad of stories about how and why they've come to be in that classroom. I've got my own story too. Everyone has. The paths that can lead 25 students and one teacher to the same room can be so diverse that it can be astonishing. However, out of that diversity lies one common thread, the desire to learn and change one's life. This is the aspect, the commonality that brings us all together as a class. But of course, we must be realistic. Everyone cannot be in the same class. This is why groupings are necessary. Educators use reading scores to make these arrangements. I will explain exactly what each of these "groupings' mean in the next few posts. As you read, check to see if you recognize any of the descriptive characteristics in yourself or in someone you know. Until next time, Lynne. Check out my website at http://getyourged.googlepages.com/home
