Hello

I want to attend the reunion with some other members of my family. We
are decendants of Antonio Pedro Cubillo. We will be travelling from
Darwin Northern Territory in Australia.

Can you tell me how to register, when is the closing date for
registration and how much it will cost. There will be 6 family members
attending. Do you need their names?

Is there any other information I might need to organise my travel and
motel accommodation.

Can you please send details to the following email address:

I am writing to give my RSVP for my attendance at the Cubillo Reunion. I am a great, great, great grandson of Gregorio (Bigoy) Cubillo, through his eldest son, Antonio Cubillo who married in Australia. I will be attending with my Mother, my Aunt and several cousins and we are very much looking forward to meeting some other members of the Cubillo worldwide family.

Yours sincerely

Dear cousin Inocencio
Thank you for the information about the accomodation for which we are very grateful. I am confirming the exact numbers of us who will be travelling to Bohol. At the moment it looks like 9 adults, three teenagers, and one baby. I am trying to co-ordinate everyone's travel bookings as well and as I mentioned, I will have confirmed names for you by the end of this week. As far as cultural presentation goes we will be happy to do one - we are thinking of doing a didjeridu session which my brother is an expert at playing. This will honour our Aboriginal identity and heritage which Antonio Pedro Cubillo married in to by marrying Magdalena McKeddie when he came to Australia. Well my dear cousin, we are all getting very excited about meeting you and the rest of our relatives. We will be bringing many old photographs of Antonio Cubillo and his descendants in Australia.

Talk with you soon
Gary.

Response from a long lost Cubillo Family in the United States. From Emeliano Cubillo Ancestry, Telesporo Clan.

Hi,

How did you find me and my email address?

I went to your website and found it fun, interesting and exciting. I am the daughter of Emilio Lucero Cubillo. He is the son of Emiliano Demalario Cubillo. We live in San Francisco, California.

My grandfather Emiliano (deceased) married Natalia Lucero (deceased), a native of Mexico. They had Enrique, Emilio, Josephine (deceased), Louis (deceased) and John Cubillo.

I'll tell my dad Emilio of this email. He was born August 1, 1927 and is still living. As are his brothers Enrique and Johnny. Josephine and Louis haved passed on.

Sincerely,
Lani Cubillo

I just read this article; (copy and paste on your URL)

http://www.mb.com.ph/issues/2006/03/04/SCAU2006030457661.html

WATER AND CUBILLO

With 10 years of painting experience, Eugenio Cubillo II has been creating art works that represent truth and current condition of the present time. "I associated the formation of rust to the [present] condition of our society like peculiar habits of people, social imbalance and poverty na mahirap pigilin pero kayang baguhin."

Almost all of his 29 art pieces reflected the desperate circumstances of individuals going through denial or desperation. In his "Unemployed Series," various voices of contradictions, distress, and impulses are quite evident. Unlike his contemporaries, Cubillo doesn’t consider a specific artwork as his best work. "I only consider best work if I achieved my goal which is to communicate and if the viewer can relate and understand my visual language and statement with the hint of my title," he explained.

In today’s society, Cubillo considers the system and the people within the system as "kalawang." "I believe if we really want to change things, we have to start with ourselves." A Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising student of the Philippine Women’s University, Cubillo advised young ones to learn the basic, practice drawing, and attend art exhibitions. "If you want to express your feelings, express it creatively."

Like water, Cubillo believes his art can wash away the lies brought by propaganda and can make a new paths based on truths. "Bilang isang artist, I believe that it is my obligation to depict what is reality in order to create awareness to the people."

Eugenio ll Cubillo will have an art gallery showcase in Manila this Saturday, Fely Cayao will try to talk to him and invite Eugenio to our reunion

Hi from Darwin, Australia. It's probably better if you remove the Darwin City Council blurb from your website which was put there by Dorothy Fox, who is not a Cubillo. The Darwin City Council blurb is inappropriate since it seems to be solely a means for Dorothy Fox to publicise her own "achievements", and really has very little to do with the Cubillo family reunion, and everything to do with Dorothy Fox publicising herself. Please consider removing the Darwin City Councli blurb, although it is entirely up to you to do so, the true desecendants of Gregorio Cubillio's eldest son, Antonio, would appreciate it if you would consider this request.
Many thanks.

As publisher of this reunion, I am sorry for publishing Dorothy Fox website. I understand the blurb has nothing to do with our reunion, It was done without permission from Ms. Dorothy and she had nothing to do with it. I will delete the said blurb and please accept my apology. Rest assured it will not happen again. Thanks.

Hello to everyone. While surfing the net I came accross the Cubillo Family clan page. It made me curious to see if any of the Cubillo's have family ties to Cubillo's in the province of Cavite in central Luzon Philippines. There are big families of Cubillo in Indang Cavite.
Thank you and have a wonderful Cubillo reunion.
